I was a little misled by the title of this book. The snowed in moment didn't come until about 70 per cent through, which was too late for a book with the title referencing it. It much more focused on fake dating than on forced proximity.

It also didn't really give me the feel Megan and Christian had actually grown up in the same town. It didn't seem like the small town Ireland vibe I was expecting that to bring.

I also don't really understand why a book written by an Irish author, set in Ireland, with Irish characters, was written in American English. It was rather off-putting.

But, the spice in the last third was a pleasant surprise.

I normally read a lot of holiday romances this time of year. However, this book was the only holiday romance I ended up reading and I’m so glad I did. This was such a fun read with so many lovable characters. It also features one of my favorite romance tropes, fake dating. There’s plenty of drama, romance, and holiday cheer to make this a quick fun read. If you’re still trying to squeeze in another holiday romance add this one to that list or definitely put it on your next holiday season tbr.

When we meet Megan, she is the epitome of runaway bride- literally running from her wedding when she happens upon Christian. He's one of the Fitzpatrick boys, one that we met in Holiday Romance. He helps her escape and keeps his mouth shut about it, hard to do in a small Irish town. It's total coincidence that Megan stumbles into him, literally, five years later in Dublin right before she is about to go home for the first time since leaving before her wedding. It seems like a perfect idea when they develop a plan together to "pretend" to be together to help each other out when they get home. Surely they can keep to their rules set out on a cocktail napkin and no problems will occur, right? What follows is an adventure in fake dating that ends predictably but so perfectly.

I absolutely adored this book. I want a Christian Fitzpatrick of my own, he makes me swoon! I loved Holiday Romance so much that I knew that I would like the second in the series, and it definitely did not disappoint. I feel like it can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the first book so you should read it first. Megan is a confident leading lady, which is such a breath of fresh air in a romance and I LOVED that the conflict was easily resolved- no miscommunication here! Such a fun book, and I look forward to more from Catherine Walsh.

A blizzard hits in this grumpy, sunshine, forced close proximity, second chance holiday romance. It fell kind of flat for me and I just didn't connect with the MFC Becca. Her hot grumpy neighbor Harrison is our MMC who was pinning for Becca two years prior. Basically once they get over the awkward-ness they start connecting.

This was such a cute holiday romance. I loved the tie-in of characters from Holiday Romance. The only thing taking off a star was that fact it was a bit too Insta-love for me. I would have liked to see Megan and Christian get to know each other a bit more.

This was such a fun holiday story! Though the story felt a little instalove, I fell in love with character as the story progressed. Additionally, the setting was charming. I would love to be snowed in at that luxury cabin. The supporting cast of characters were funny and provided comic relief. This is a must read holiday romance.

Walsh's Snowed In sets up a hilariously fun, extremely cozy, and easy to read fake dating story perfect for the holidays. While plots like this are common and easy to guess, there is something refreshing of Walsh's take and makes it a fun read. The banter between the characters as well as their chemistry.

But if there was anything to comment on, I would have liked to see more scenes of them developing the romance and also more time to watch them really fall in love. While it is understandable why things were as fast as they were, there was probably still some room to expand on developing their romance from just pretending to fully fledged feelings.

WOW!!! This book was unexpected in all the best way, i mean- holiday vibes, check; runaway bride: check and characters who have spent time growing up together: check. This book took me by surprise on how quickly i was hooked and in love with the characters; while not having to be devastated by a third act break up.

I loved this book! I read the first one earlier this month and loved it so I couldn't wait for this one. I think I might have liked this one even more! I really loved both main characters and I thought the setting was great! I'm a sucker for fake dating and thought it was done really well in this book. I love Walsh's writing style and can't wait to read more by her. I looked forward to picking up this book every time! Its such a cute quick holiday read!

Catherine Walsh has become one of my go-to authors for yearly holiday reads! Snowed In was so delightful. I loved both of Megan and Christian's families and the fake dating trope was done well in this story. The luxury cabin they get stranded in was full of cozy Christmas vibes and the perfect setting. The writing was snappy and funny (as usual!) and this book kept me hooked from the beginning.

I can't wait for the next Catherine Walsh Christmas book!

This book had some major plot changes that showed off her writing talent but lots of romance, Christmas spirit and family relationships.

I liked this book… what kept it from being 5 stars was I thought there was too much of the relationship from the previous book in it at times, especially towards the end. I loved that couple but I wanted sole focus on the current one. Overall it was cute, cozy and though set over Christmas, felt more winter-y. Would be one to read anytime during winter.

Holiday Romance was one of my favorite Christmas reads last year (if not the best). I’ll be honest, though…I forgot this story was a continuation of that one, just with different characters, ha!

The setting in this story was so picturesque. Walsh did an excellent job writing a story where you feel completely immersed. I loved the fake dating trope, especially set at Christmas time. The characters are both growing and maturing as the story goes on, learning what it means to fight for what they want out of life.

My only complaint here is all of the side characters. There were a lot between both of their families & I kept getting confused about who was who and what their story line was. Other than that, it was completely delightful.

Wow JUST WOW!!! OMG THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT READ FOR ME! I was totally invested in this book when I was reading it and I just knew that this was going to be a five stars read for me! It was funny, romantic, cozy, emotional, festive, sweet, cheerful, swoons, uplifting Christmas romcom for me! It also a mix of runaway bride, fake dating, boy fell first, dual pov, cozy family and many more things. This is literally my favourite Christmas romance book I have ever read! And at the end I found out there a first book which is the story of Molly and Andrew and I’m all down for that book also definitely gonna read it.

Funny, sweet, sexy... a little bit of everything with some holiday cheer. Megan ran out on her wedding years ago and hasn't been back since. Christian feels like the black sheep of the family, and both aren't quite ready to go home for Christmas. The old friends fake a relationship, and of course make it a real one in the process. This was a fun holiday read, perfect for Christmas break!

Thank you so much to the publisher for my eARC of Snowed In!

This is my second Catherine Walsh book and it wont be my last! Megan and Christian are childhood acquaintances who bump into each other in Dublin. After catching up a little, they share that they are tired of their families's pity about being single during the holidays and decide to fake date each other. It made me giggle many times and I just really loved the overall story.

Read if you love:
-fake dating trope
-Irish settings
-great banter
-a little spice but not over the top
-no 3rd act break up
-relatable and realistic growth in each MC

Walsh's first book in the series, Holiday Romance, sees the return of it's main characters but it's not necessary for readers to have read that book first. This one works as a stand alone.
