Holiday Fake Dating trope… what more could you ask for? I LOVED this book! Catherine Walsh writes witty banter like no one else. I loved the angst in this one. It was the perfect build up between Megan and Christian. The runway bride opening scene had me hooked. And it just got better from there! I loved her book Holiday Romance last year so I was so excited to get more of Molly and Andrew in this one! You don’t have to read it to still enjoy Snowed In but they are both phenomenal books so you might as well!
Read if you like:
▫️fake dating
▫️forced proximity
▫️witty banter
▫️family holidays
This was a sweet holiday romcom with the fake dating and forced proximity tropes. The characters, Megan and Christian, were relatable and their relationship was realistic with its ups and downs. I enjoyed the plot, the setting (Ireland at Christmas), the side characters and main character’s back story. It was such a charming Christmas read!
I really enjoy Catherine Walsh’s books and this was no exception - they have great characters, great writing and perfect spice - they never fail to leave a smile on my face.
I'm not normally one to read holiday themed stories, but I'm glad that I requested this story. It was so much more than a cheesy Christmas themed book.
Snowed In is a quick but satisfying read, with no messiness in the third act. I really enjoyed the characters and their chemistry, and will definitely look into the first story in this series.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I loved Catherine Walsh’s previous Christmas book so I had high hopes for this one and I think I maybe loved it even more. Catherine writes such well-rounded and frequently hilarious characters - I was all in from Zoe and her toddler Tiernan in the pub (more Tiernan please!). Knitting girl, Megan, is lovely and Christian is hot. It frequently reminded me of Marian Keyes’ early novels and there can be no higher praise. Must now read all of Catherine’s books.
I’m such a big fan of @catwalshwriter and the books of hers I’ve read so far! Her Christmas book last year was my favourite and her new Christmas book this year has won best festive book of the season for me too!
This is so swoony and romantic and Christmassy. It’s got fake dating and a small town, forced close proximity and a snow storm…I mean could we need anything else in a Christmas book 😂 it’s perfect!
I just love the way this author writes her characters, they are genuinely so funny and real and special! I enjoyed this book so much! And really recommend it if you’re looking for a Christmas romance!
“Megan is dreading going home for the holidays. She’s the village pariah, the she-devil who left local golden boy Isaac at the altar four years ago and ran away to the big city. She could really do without the drama. Particularly as he’s engaged again, and she’s just been dumped for the fourth time this year.
Christian’s fed up of being on his own every Christmas. He doesn’t mind being alone, but he hates his family’s sad eyes and soft tones as they sit around coupled up. Because he’s actually, totally, fine.
So when Megan literally bumps into Christian in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact to see them through the holiday season. They’re going to be the very best fake dates for each other, ever.
Rules are drawn up, a contract is signed on a wine-stained napkin. They will sit through each other’s family gatherings and be outrageously in love until freed from their annual obligations. After all, it’s only for a few weeks.”

An absolutely fabulous fake dating christmas romance. I adored this book and will definitely be reading more by this author in the future
I get so excited every time Cat Walsh announces a new book! I’ve been lucky enough to read advanced copies of all her romances (five books in under three years!), and I love that I have been able to witness her growth as a writer (and as a social media presence - she cracks me up!). Snowed In involves characters related to her previous winter romcom, Holiday Romance, but you don't need to have finished that one before reading this. It's a fun fake dating for the winter holidays romance, however some of the storylines bring a bit more depth to the characters, as there is a broken engagement and some family and friend relationships to mend. I loved the dual POV, and the humor made me continue smiling throughout. I recommend this book - and all of Cat Walsh's other books!
Thank you to Bookouture for the ARC via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. This book is now available - and it's on Kindle Unlimited if you're a subscriber.
the PERFECT christmas read for this season <3

But with everyone home for the holidays, two big families to deal with alongside old friends, old flames and old feelings, things are bound to get messy. And when a snowed-in cabin and a little Christmas magic are added to the mix, anything could happen…
A swoonworthy and utterly gorgeous romantic comedy that will make you laugh out loud and fall completely in love. Fans of Emily Henry, Sophie Kinsella and Abby Jimenez won’t be able to put this down!
I cannot say how much I loved this book!! I was drawn in from the first sentence and adored all the characters and the dual POV. I also didn't realize there was a book about another brother before this one so once I finished this, I devoured Holiday Romance and got so much more of Andrew & Molly, which was magical. Highly recommend reading Holiday Romance first but there's room in my heart for both of these lovely books. Will definitely re-read next year!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the advanced ebook copy for review.
All the warm, cozy, holiday feels! This was a sweet rom-com that had me smiling through the whole story. Lots of family get togethers, a snowy cabin, cute banter and lots of Christmas vibes. I loved Christian and Megan, and appreciated how the author took time to develop the main characters into healthy individuals who communicated with each other.
It's always nice when there's a new Catherine Walsh romance out. This one is funny and sweet escapist reading that I won't necessarily think about again. 3.5 stars.
What a perfect Christmas romance! If you love forced proximity, there’s nothing better than a good “snowed in” situation and this one really delivers. I loved the characters and was very invested in them! I will definitely be reading “Holiday Romance” next!!!!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing go read and review this book. It’s called Snowed In by Catherine Walsh. While it’s predictable, cheesy and full on Hallmark cheese, it also hit the spot for a quick holiday read. Megan hasn’t been home for some time, hasn’t seen her family, her friends since one fateful day and she’s not looking forward to spending Christmas back at home and single. Christian is also single, and isn’t looking forward to Christmas at home either. They’ve known each other for many years and come up with a plan to quiet any noise about them being single and hopefully make the holiday family time a little less alone. I’m positive you can see where this is going and that’s okay. It’s charming, it’s sweet, but you can easily dig out other topics for conversation, things with a little more depth. If you’re looking for a quick, sweet holiday ready I would definitely recommend.
I adored this book. Catherine Walsh has such a way to write books where you love the characters, love the locations, and the storyline is so fun. I can’t wait to read more of her books, especially holiday-related.
I absolutely loved this book. The love story was laid out carefully and I did not feel anything was formulaic. I love Walsh’s books and their connections to Ireland. I’ve read all her books and her writing just keeps getting better and better. She never disappoints!
I love fake dating tropes. I love having dual POVs, and feeling everything with the characters. This is stand alone but it is part of a series. I, as usual, didn't realize until I read it and now I have the first book on my TBR.
There's so much more depth to the characters than what you think at first. You can see their struggle with their identity and self worth and family. I loved seeing the vulnerable side of both Megan and Christian. I definitely want to take up a hobby like Megan's now, and have my own Etsy shop!
I enjoyed it! I want another book about all of the siblings.
The reader is dropped into action with this fake relationship trop. The main character, Megan, leaves her long-time boyfriend/fiance at the alter. She is full on sprinting in her big white gown and bumps into--none other than Christian, the boy she was never friends with but everyone had a crush on. He was dressed in a tux and of course a guest at her wedding. He tells her if she wants to run to do it, he wasn't going to stop her.
So Megan takes off and doesn't think of home for years. She gets shunned for leaving Isaac, the town's golden child. Then while working and living in Dublin, she bumps into Christian and they make a pact to help each other through the holidays at home by pretending they are an item. Christian doesn't have to deal with his family feeling sorry for him while the rest of them are coupled up. Megan doesn’t need to be alone with sharp looks from their old friends and neighbors. A win-win huh? Maybe.
The story unravels when the two make it home with emotions stirring, old best friends throwing shade, and bumping into men that were left at the altar.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this arc in exchange for a honest review.
This was a funny and cute rom-com with a few of my fav tropes like fake dating and friends to lovers.
If you want a funny romantic Christmas book to read this time a year then this is a must read for you. As I have mention it is cute and funny but it also includes a story that makes you wanna read page after page without any pause and the characters are easy.

Runaway bride, fake dating, friends to lovers, holiday hi-jinx’s. Hello Christmas!
I’ve never really been that into Christmas books… I know me … my decorations are up on 1st feb and I know the words to the muppets Christmas carol by heart but I always feel that they are beyond predictable and have just picked Christmas for an easy plot . This book has made me want to fall in love with Christmas in a whole new way!
I must read everything Catherine Walsh has written as this is my ultimate feel good read.
Honestly if you need a Christmas read then look no further.
I adore Christian and Megan! Their chemistry is just perfection. The banter between them is so witty and … perfect.
Got this is an awful review as I can’t sum it up any way other than perfect.
There is just enough spice although a little bit more wouldn’t go amis😜
Get a cuppa, read this book and then let me know the minute you have because I need to gossip about this book with!
Bravo Catherine Walsh!
