⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.5/5)

This was a nice little palette cleanser after reading some suspenseful thrillers.

I even learned a tiny bit of French while listening to this one.

Savannah Scott books are always nice easy reads. I usually don’t go for the instalove trope but I liked it in this book. You could really sense the bond and draw between the MCs. So I really enjoyed that.

The only drawback for me (and it’s totally a “me” issue)….the audiobook made me chuckle a little because at times I thought the male voice sounded like a cross between a Frenchman, Pepe Le Peu, Borat and Count Chocula 😂🤣😂. I think my brain just isn’t used to accents so it took me a minute to get vibing.

If you’re looking for a sweet romance (no spice) then definitely pick this one up.

Such a cute fall read! Perfect for getting you in the fall mood! Harvest Hollow is such a cute little town and I would love to go to Cataloochee Coffee and sit and sip an iced latte with Tasha and Pierre!
I loved that this was a marriage of convenience amongst people in the book world! Such a fun touch! Pierre is an author of Tasha's favorite books and Tasha is a voice actor and author assistant. Luckily the MOC turned into love super quick!
And oh did I mention Pierre is French! 🤤 those accents and his name for Tasha! He's such a gentleman too!

This was the perfect book to get me into the fall mood!

Tasha, a bookstagrammer, is thrilled to be meeting one of her favorite romance authors, only to discover that the writer behind the swoon-worthy novels she adores is not the woman she imagined, but Pierre Toussaint—a man who could easily step off the pages of one of his own books.

Tasha and Pierre become friends after she saves him from a fan who was getting a little too aggressive. Things take a different turn when Pierre is suddenly in need of an American wife so he can finish his book tour and his agent proposes a marriage between the two. We get to see Tasha's inner turmoil and excitement as she struggles with the idea of marrying the man who’s written her favorite love stories. I don't see modern day marriage of convenience stories very often and it was fun watching Tasha and Pierre navigate this unknown territory.

I found Tasha's inner thoughts hilarious and Pierre not getting some of the English phrases was also pretty funny. A Not So Fictional Fall is a charming and lighthearted read that will appeal to anyone who has ever fallen in love with a book—and wondered what it might be like if the romance they're reading about came to life.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions in this review are my own.

Five Sweet Fake Marriage Stars

I love Savannah Scott and I love her clean romance stories! And this IS a clean romance, there's kissing. That's it.

Tasha is our fmc and she is a reader! She is about to go on a trip with her bookstagram besties to meet her FAVORITE author, Amelie De Pierre! She's so excited to finally meet her friends in person and to meet an author whose books she loves!

Pierre is our mmc and HE is about to expose himself as the famous romance author Amelie De Pierre.

This story was so much fun! Tasha and Peirre are so adorable together from the very start. I highly recommend this if you like a good clean romance / fake marriage story.

This author has a way of bringing you right into her world and I was there for every fictional page. Tasha and Pierre enter a marriage of convenience and what unfolds is just heartwarming and funny. When Tasha discovers t things about Pierre their marriage starts to get really interesting. It’s kind of a dream of every book lover in a story form and I was there for all of it. Another win by this amazing author and I can’t wait to read her next story!

This was sooo good!! It’s very thing you could ask for, slow burn romance, swoon worthy moments, hilarious conversations, this book has it all!! If you were looking for no spice to level one spice with a fantastic storyline without the strong language, this book is for you!

A Not So Fictional Fall by Savannah Scott is part of the Sweater Weather series. This book starts off slow but quickly picks up and is a wonderful read. This is a quick and sweet read with a perfect fall setting. A good swoon worthy meet-cute and a not so typical marriage of convenience. Highly recommend this read and series.

This was a cute, sweet story. It was a nice addition to the Sweater Weather series, if a bit further removed from the Harvest Hollow universe than some of the other entries to the series,

Thank you Savannah Scott, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and NetGalley for providing this ARC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.

A Not So Fictional Fall is Savannah Scott’s offering in the seven book Sweater Weather series. Each book is by a different author but all are set in the same fictional town of Harvest Hollow, NC. Tasha Pierson loves books and reading. She is developing a business reviewing books, helping authors, and voicing audiobooks. Tasha is set to attend a banner literary conference at the Alicante Resort and Spa on Marbella Island, California. Four days in which Tasha will meet up with her Booksta-besties, attend author talks, and meet her very favorite author, Amelie de Pierre.

The resort is lovely. There is a handsome man who Tasha pegs as a French professor she notices while waiting in the check in line before she finds her four friends as soon as she has finished checking in. The trip is going well so far. Then the next day her friends are late to go to the big author talk with Amelie de Pierre due to a curling iron catastrophe, but when Tasha’s friends tell her to go ahead the elevator is out. After hauling the books she brought to be signed down five flights of stairs she arrives after the talk and just as attendees are lining up for the book signing, Tasha lines up with her books. However, Tasha spills her books after discovering her favorite author is not a French lady at all but the handsome French professor from the lobby yesterday, Pierre Toussaint.

Through a series of missteps and misadventures, including dinner, dancing, a shared plane ride and car ride after arriving back in North Carolina, the adventure culminates as Pierre drops Tasha on his way to his Harvest Hollow home. Coincidentally he calls her her hometown home. It would seem their time together had been captured by tourist and paparazzi cameras and begin appearing just in time to offer Pierre’s publicist Stuart an idea to concoct a scheme when it is discovered Pierre has the wrong kind of visa which could end his extensive year long American tour in just weeks.

So now through a series of contracts, NDAs, and whirlwind planning, a friendship leads to something else. This is such a well written story with such wonderful characters. It touches so many feels while exploring aspects of the literary romance landscape. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

I am a Fangirl of this author. And have truly love all her books so I had high expectations going in.

This book did not disappoint and it was the perfect addiction to the sweater weather series but also can be read as a standalone.

The characters are cute adorable and everything you want in a clean romance. This is a book that your teenage daughter to grandma can read and just provides messages of love and hope. Loved it!

This is the 6th book of Sweater Weather series, this series from 6 different author so it can be read as stand alone. My first in this series and this book is good.

I love every swoon moment in this book. Pierre so sweet and kind, Tasha so understanding and know how Pierre it is. They fall in love easyly. I love dual pov in this book, my favorite moment when Pierre talking in his sleep about Tasha.

"Tasha, oui comme ça. Oui Cher, embrasse-moi. Tu es tout pour moi, ma belle épouse.."

Thank you to NetGalley for provide this book, it is pleasure to review this book.

Loved this one. I love the fake dating/marriage trope.
These characters were so much fun to get to know. The plot line felt natural- I could see this actually happening. I Loved both Pierre and Tasha’s families.
This was part of a series, but I haven’t read any other ones and I totally enjoyed this one as a stand-alone. I’m hoping there will be stories for a lot of the side characters from this book though.

I heard so many great things about this series and couldn’t wait to dive in!

A Not So Fictional Fall was such a fun story. First and foremost I loved that the main character, Tasha, was a bookstagrammer. I am obsessed with the beginning of the book when she traveled to meet her favorite author at an event at an island resort with some of her booksta besties. To her surprise her favorite author who she assumed was female, revealed himself to be a gorgeous Frenchman who she instantly swooned over.

The French author, Pierre was super sweet and lovable. Tasha and Pierre’s instant connection was my favorite and I enjoyed how perfect Tasha was with him despite learning his identity. I enjoyed the storyline that unfolded and all the fun drama that came about as the story progressed. I loved the small town of Harvest Hallow and all the mountain and fall vibes. My only complaint would be that this was a completely closed door romance, like nothing at all but light kissing, even after marriage.
