The perfect fall read and fall series fo fall into (see what I did?). I loved watching the characters fall in love as I also did and I fell in love with the entire town.

Perfect tasty little fall romance. Sweet, compelling and with the perfect fall vibes. It was closed door but the tension was still very strong. I enjoyed it and am interested in the other characters in the book. The romance was tender and sweet with enough silliness for it to be very enjoyable and even realistic despite the less than realistic situation that starts the story.

This one just wasn’t for me. I tried to like it. It felt very cheesy and forced. In fact it almost felt like a rushed novella in a sense.

This was so cute and so full themed, and really brought my love of autumn to the forefront. I can’t wait for what this author writes next.

I have loved reading this inter-connected, stand alone Sweater Weather series of closed-door romances set in fictional Harvest Hollow, a small town nestled in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Each book is by a different author, but there is some crossover of characters as well as the same local businesses and town. They can be ready independently, and it has been a lot of fun reading them in order and seeing the similarities.

Tasha, a romance-loving bookstagrammer, and Pierre, a romance novelist writing under the name Amelie De Pierre, first meet at a Book conference. They connect and enjoy an evening with friends. It turns out Pierre lives near Tasha's hometown and is having green card problems. His agent makes a deal with Tasha. So this is a forced proximity, opposites attract, marriage of convenience. These are all tropes that I love. I did want to see a little more connection between Pierre and Tasha- we learn a lot through inner monologue where I'd prefer to see it play it out in action (versus in reflective thoughts). I also think there's a lot to talk about when getting married and from different countries- Pierre was planning to go back to France. What happens now But, this is a romance with a HEA. Overall, this was a cute book that fit in with the rest of the series.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Thanks to the publisher for a copy. All opinions are my own.

I had a really hard time getting into this book. I found the MMC to be flat and didn't find myself resonating with the FMC. I DNF'd around 25% of the way in. The author's writing style was enjoyable so I give an extra star for that.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of A Not So Fictional Fall by Savannah Scott. I had been absolutely loving the Sweater Weather series that this book is part of, so I was over the moon excited to read this 6th book (and my first ever Savannah Scott title)!
I can say one thing for sure… I was definitely NOT disappointed! I’ve read marriage or convenience trope stories before, but the premise and start of this book had me hooked from the very beginning.
I loved that the main character, Tasha, is a bookstagrammer. I love it even more that she is headed to a retreat to meet up with her other bookstagram friends so she can have the opportunity to meet her favorite author in person! Funny thing is… Tasha thinks (well the whole world thinks really) that the person responsible for writing her favorite romance novels of all time is a women… SURPRISE- everyone is about to find out that’s not the case. Pierre, our swoon-worthy French main character, has been writing under a female pen name for as long as he’s been an author.
I loved reading how Pierre and Tasha’s relationship developed throughout the book and navigate how to work through a marriage of convenience.
If you’re looking for a sweet romcom with laugh out loud moments and an embarrassing yet adorable meet cute… I highly recommend this book! Thank you again to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC!

This was absolutely a great read. It was quick and easy read. I would actually be the exact person that the FMC is if I was to meet my favorite author in person. The book lover and the author pov was cute and believable. I don't want to give too much away because the plot revolves around the "situation". It was a good cleanser read from all of the thrillers that I usually read.

This a fun fake dating, opposites attract romance. When Tasha goes to a book signing for her favorite romance author she’s in for a big surprise. On top of that she’s talked into a marriage of convenience with a handsome Frenchman named Pierre who she barely knows. As they go through the motions, pretending for their families, they develop real feelings for one another and have to figure out what to do.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

Just Yes! This book was everything I never knew I wanted or needed in a romance read! A book lover and author meeting, having incredible chemistry, having a fake relationship and then falling into real love?! Again, just yes! Tasha and Pierre are now one of my favourite book couples and their story, one I will soon not forget. It was everything! I’m giving 𝗔 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗦𝗢 𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗔𝗟𝗟 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

This is the sixth book of the Sweater Weather series. I have only had the opportunity to read The Fall Back Plan and absolutely loved it and was very excited when I got the opportunity to read this one. I was definitely not disappointed! Ms Scott always reels me in from the very start with her sweet, wholesome, and fun stories, and this book falls perfectly in line with what I've come to love and expect from her books. This is a marriage of convenience story which is very well-written, with wonderful characters that are likable and endearing. Tasha loves to read and she has the opportunity to meet her favorite author in person. She was under the impression they were female and was shocked to learn the author was actually male, and a very handsome one at that. They become fast friends. And when there is an issue with his visa and he needs to marry an American in order to be able to complete his book tour, Tasha agrees to help him out. These two stole my heart as things progressed from fake to real and these two really fell for each other.
Such an adorable story with so many sweet and laugh out loud moments, I couldn't put it down. Definitely a must read, especially if you're looking for a cozy, fall story. And even if you're not, still a great read!
Thank you to Netgalley for providing a complimentary copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me this opportunity!

I looove marriage of convenience novels. They are so much fun to read. And this was no exception. Just know that this was a closed door romance so it is not steamy.
But the chemistry was great. The banter was so fun.

A great read. Tasha is a big reader and excited to meet her favorite author. It turns out that she is a he, Pierre. When photos of them together emerge online, fake dating seems the answer. A great read, and a great setting. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

The story fell a little flat for me. I think it had a lot of potential and perhaps I didn’t read it as carefully as I might have. Lots of real-life drama and busyness. But I enjoyed quite a bit of the book and hope I have the chance to read Ms Scott’s upcoming books since I could tell she writes well and her plots are interesting.

If I wasn’t French, I would have liked this book. The story itself is good, pretty cute and I love the dynamic between the two main caracters. The thing is, the author used a lot of French words or sentences that makes absolutely no sense…. « Ma ange » for exemple is not correct French. I think the author should have asked a French person to review those sentences

Fun and quick read. A book lover meats the author who much to her surprise isn’t the middle aged woman she expected! Rather he is a handsome, Frenchman.

While I appreciate the surprises and basic theme, I found the emphasis on authors and PAs roles to be more distracting than helpful. Sometimes authors greatest strength of writing about what they know can also become a weakness. I would have loved to learn more about France and their love of life.

"He's right. That was some kiss. Seeing it from a third-person vantage point makes it all the more real. We kissed. And in twos weeks I'm going to marry Pierre Toussaint."

This was the marriage of convenience book that I didn't even know I needed. I'll be honest, the first couple of chapters made my squirm a little. I had no idea where this was going and I wasn't sure I was okay with some of the possibilities my mind came up with. But WOW, it was incredible!

Here are some of my favorite moments:
- The third proposal
- The morning after the wedding
- Pierre's sisters
- Rene's meddling
- The list of "rules"
- The bookstagram chats
- The hairdryer incident

Thank you to NetGalley for the advance copy of this book. It was amazing! A positive reivew was not required.
