This was a charming cozy story filled with moments of joy, laughter, good chemistry, and a promised good ending that satisfied me. It's my first book in this Sweater Weather series and I'm going to correct that and read the previous books too.

3.5⭐ When Tasha finally gets to meet her favorite romance author, it's quite the shock to find out that author Amelie de Pierre is actually Pierre Toussaint. A man! She gets all the feels after meeting him in person, and then she gets a call from his agent a few weeks later, proposing a marriage of convenience.

This was a super cute story. I loved both Tasha and Pierre. Their interactions were adorable, and it was fun to watch their relationship grow. Lots of feels in this one.

One thing that was a bit irritating was the over-explaining of too much, and the language issues did NOT work for me. I speak both French and English, and the miscommunications just don't really work. However, if I overlook those two things, this was a fun fall romance!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced digital reader's copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!

Pierre has been writing romance under a female name. Tasha has loved Pierre’s writing but she didn’t know her favorite author was a man! They become acquaintances and things quickly escalate to Pierre’s team asking Tasha to marry him! This book moves really quickly. It feels like 70% is moving towards the marriage of convenience and then the last 30% is just a very rapid falling in love. This is a sweet romance but it moves incredibly fast and it doesn’t feel like it goes into much depth. It’s still a cute fall read - being north lighthearted and a quick read. 3.5⭐️, 0.5🌶

First of al, Thank You, Netgalley for the ARC granted. With every passing of each book I get more and more captured by this series. It has exactly the tone, the vibe and the setting thar I like to read! Tasha and Pierre are a couple charismatic and believable, with a clichê trope well built and developed! I liked a Lot!

“A Not So Fictional Fall” was definitely a cute book, albeit cheesy from the very beginning! I definitely loved Tasha in all her funny, awkward glory; and Pierre was kind…and French! The romantic elements were tender and swoon-y, for sure (also, PG-13 at most). I did feel the story lacked a major conflict, or maybe it was just placed in a weird spot in the book. The timeline was also hard to follow at times. Overall, it wasn’t my favorite book, but it was still a sweet fall read!

. A Not So Fictional Fall was everything I could want in a warm and fuzzy romcom. 🥰 I automatically fell in love with Tasha and her book quirkiness. I felt seen as bookstagramer and the love for the bookstagram community 😂. This book has me grinning from ear to ear as I watched Tasha and Pierre’s relationship blossom. I loved that this story has an actual plot and not just smut with a little bit of plot like some romcoms. I highly recommend this book if you want a feel good, small town, marriage or convenience trope.

Things take a weird turn for Tasha when she goes on a writing retreat and finds out her favorite author is a nom de plume for the most attractive man ever. It takes a weirder turn when they find out they live near each other and get photographed together. And the weirdest turn yet when he has an immigration issue and his agent proposed to her on his behalf.
Marry her favorite author of all time? Is there a downside (other than that pesky legality thing)?
Tasha and Pierre have a great chemistry and it leaps off the page. Though there are several things that for as traveled and well versed in American life as Pierre is, some of the language idiom/expression things make him look a little more baffoony than necessary.

This book was cute and a sweet read for Fall.
Tasha go to meet her favorite author during her book tour, and discover Amelie De Pierre is a man. They became friends, and Pierre asked her to marry him to be able to stay in America.
Tasha was funny and honest, and I loved the relationship between them.
For Pierre's character, I didn't like the translation or his way of speaking in French. Maybe some of those things he says are more Canadian than French (like "bonjour" instead of saying "bonne journée", or her nickname "Cher" I never heard of it, and other example). I think these things influenced my reading and what I would have thought if some parts were more realistic.

This was such a cute and wholesome book! I loved everything about it. I just love all of the Harvest Hollow books so much. Pierre and Tasha are so cute together and I love how their story played out! I absolutely also loved how Tasha had bookstagram besties she met up with. How relatable! This was my first marriage of convenience book I’ve read, and I loved it!

Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing, and Ms. Savannah Scott for granting me this early release (at the time) in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a bit late, I know, but I really liked this one. It truly did few like autumn, and that was what I originally requested it for. It’s actually 4.5 stars, and the only reason it’s not 5 stars is just because it didn’t have the 5 star feel for me, but it might for you. This’ll be the first book I recommend when someone asks for a fall romance novel, which may very well happen. And I would even recommend getting this and reading it even if it isn’t fall, just for the plot, which is a marriage of convenience and how that plays out. Overall, it’s a really good book, and I would highly recommend.

This is a love story to bookstagrammers everywhere and I loved every second of it. The main characters were amazing and their chemistry was electric. I loved Pierre’s family so, so much. And I love Heather and her protective sister vibes. I love the world these authors have created and can’t wait to finish the sweater weather series.

This one is for all the autumn book lovers out there! Tasha is a fan of Amelie De Pierre’s French romance novels. She is looking forward to meeting her favorite author, Amelie, and all her book besties at a resort in California. It turns out that Amelie is just a pen name for Pierre, the male romance author who is just her type! This story was so cute, funny and light-hearted; perfect for those looking for a mix of family, friendship, and love!

My heart! This book made my soul so happy. For starters I read this while we were having such a “fall weekend” and I was living it up. I had this book open with a cup of apple cider and dove right in and didn’t come up until it was over. This romcom was written with perfection from the characters, their dialogue to the plot/setting etc. I felt as though I was in the story right along with everybody else. It was darling. There is nothing bad I could say about this. I will forever reach for Savannah’s books! Watching Pierre and Tasha stroll through a marriage of convenience was so much fun and the dual pov helped so much with that as well getting all the sides and angles ;). I think that this book would be perfect for everybody. I will be recommending this book to all that I know.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4.5 Stars
Pub Date: Oct 05, 2023

Thank you @savannahscott_author and @victoryeditingngc for the eARC

This was the 6th book in the sweater weather series and the first book I have read by Savannah Scott (also my first ARC!)

I enjoyed this book so much, it was the perfect warm and cozy love story for fall. Marriage of convenience is not typically one of my favorites but in this story I thought it was so well done!

Things I loved:
🍂The MMC was French and I loved the comedy that came from the language barrier and things getting lost in translation
🍂On that note Pierre speaking sweet nothings to Tasha in French was…(chefs kiss)
🍂The shoutouts to bookstagrammers and Tasha’s “booksta besties” was so sweet
🍂I loved how Tasha and Pierre instantly felt a comfortability with each other that was hard for them to find with other people
🍂Rene was so funny, I loved his “rules” and all of the adorable scenes that came as a result of them
🍂I also loved Tasha’s relationship with her sister, the bond they had really came through in the story
🍂The epilogue was my favorite part, it was such a sweet ending for Tasha & Pierre

I highly recommend this book for a sweet HEA read with cozy fall vibes. It is available on Kindle Unlimited as well as for purchase everywhere you can buy books.

This series has all the tropes and this book does not disappoint! We find ourselves back in Harvest Hollow for a fake date/marriage trope that is sweet, swoony and entertaining! What happens when your all-time favorite romance author turns out to be a hot, swoony Frenchman? Why you marry him of course! You'll have to read to find out the why and how it turns out, but of course a happily ever after will prevail so read with delight! This series has been so much fun to read as each book has been written by a different author and I'm thrilled to report that one of my favorite authors of witty banter is the author of this installment in the series! She has crafted lovable characters that will draw you and have you turning pages faster than you intended! I'm always sad when I finish one of this authors books as it means I have to wait for her to write a new one, but the wait is always worth it! This series is the fall equivalent of the Hallmark channel at Christmas. It is full of fall fun, love, romance and fun tropes! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series and get introduced to another new to me author as several of the authors writing in this series have been fun, new introductions to my reading pleasure!

As always Savannah Scott did not disappoint! A cute steamy closed door, marriage of convenience romcom that is part of the Sweater Weather series set in the small town of Harvest Hollow, NC Sweater. The perfect fall read. It's impossible not to fall in love with this love story. A must read. A page turner

A book that I was lucky enough to obtain before its release, about which I had doubts, but which surprised me, then charmed me.

☕️ Tasha is a book lover and luck has just changed for her: she will finally discover her favorite female author on a paradise island with her bookish friends. But, she absolutely did not expect what would follow, since she discovered quite quickly that her author was in fact a charming and charismatic male author who also needed her help in order to stay in the country for his booktour. Quickly, she will have to differentiate between her feelings and her duty as a falsely married woman.☕️

To make this clear, I have an appreciation-discomfort relationship with this story. The beginning of the story was quite difficult for me. I only started to appreciate the whole thing in chapter 14, but particularly in chapter 18. 📖

Honestly, Tasha’s work made me dream. Assistant author, voice narrator for books and bookstagrammer? Where should I sign? I liked the character of Tasha, in which I saw a lot of myself. Discreet, but fun; soft, but with character. Would I have agreed to marry illegally with a handsome stranger just to “do him a favor” and get money? No. But it wasn’t bad for the purpose of the story. 🎙️

Pierre… is not my type of male character. I enjoyed finding out what little backstory we got from him, but something was missing… development? I don’t know.

Also, marriage is a central point of the story, right? The plot revolves around an unconventional marriage, but we fly over this day so quickly that it is impossible to appreciate it. Where is all the planning, preparation, nerves, time with families, etc.? This happens so quickly that it’s almost possible to forget that they simply didn’t sign a paper, quick and easy. 💐

One of the first things I noticed was the writing and the dialogue. Honestly, I was a little discouraged by the lack of fluidity in the writing, particularly in the descriptions and inner thoughts of the characters. On several occasions, I said to myself: “But who talks to themselves like that?” For me, there was a lack of realism. Also, the English translations of very simple French words and sentences were boring. It’s possible to let the reader do their own research when they don’t know what it means. Or is it because I speak French fluently that it affected me so much? Maybe. And I’m not even talking about the French used which is almost never used, like « une ange » or « Cher » every two sentences… I was even able to detect a few errors in the French text… Was this intended or did the French correction not take place? In short, the writing absolutely did not reach me. 🖋️

What saved the story for me was the romance. She was well planned, took her time through the pages. I liked that each person developed their feelings separately from the other, not for the strange situation they were thrown into, but for the person as such. Usually, I don’t like things left unsaid or miscommunications in stories. But here, it charmed me. They keep coming back to the written contract, which would have been 100% my kind of reaction in such a situation. Without forgetting Pierre’s best friend who got involved and tried to save the situation: it was hilarious! 🍂

I admit that I secretly liked the unique quotes linked to the chapter to come. They were sought after and pleasant. Some particularly touched me, making the experience more personal.

Ultimately, the story was good, very cute and put me in the mood for fall. Tasha was a hit for me and the romance that slowly developed was superb.
