First of all, I would like to thank Savannah Scott and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

What the book is about:
A Not So Fictional Fall follows Tasha, who is an avid book reader (she even has a bookstagram) and audiobook narrator. She is a huge fan of Amelie De Pierre, who is a French romance author. Nobody has seen Amelie in real life but that is about to change because the identity reveal is happening on "her" USA book tour and Tasha can not lose the opportunity to meet her favorite author. On the other hand, we follow Pierre, who is the one hiding behind the pen name of Amelie de Pierre, and as you can guess is not a middle-aged French woman as Tasha always imagined Amelie to be. So Tasha and Pierre met at one of the signings and they kind of become friends, so when Pierre needs some help Amelie is the only one who can help him.

Tropes:
- Modern marriage of convenience
- A little bit of hidden identity
- Kind of grumpy/sunshine (Or maybe more like shy, homey type/more communicative, outgoing type)
- Stranger to friends to lovers
- Kind of slow burn

What I really loved about this book:
- This book gives perfect fall vibes. The heroine is a huge fan of fall as a season and while reading this book you do get a desire to get a coffee/tea, something with apples, and a blanket to go along with the vibes.
- This book knows how to French. I myself am not French but I am a huge fan of the French language and culture. I do speak French and I did visit many cities in France and I do have French friends. In my personal opinion, the representation was spot on, at least according to my experience. (I know that not everyone might have had the same experience). There were little mistakes in phrases in French, but I guess only someone who knows French at a high level can spot them.
- The side characters were a lot of fun: both Pierre's and Tasha's families. I especially loved Rene (Pierre's friend) and Heather (Tasha's sister) and her son. I wouldn't be opposed to even reading a book about them and their romance. And special mention to Tasha's bookstagram friends.
- All the book-related stuff in the book is also spot on. I think all of us readers identified with how Tasha feels and talks about the books and how she is freaking out about meeting her favorite author and just how excited she is to go to a book convention and meet her booksta besties. We even get a snipper from Amlie's book Tasha is reading.
- The writing was easily digestible, easy to follow, and understand. The book is just below 350 pages and I didn't feel like it was dragging or too long. Be aware the marriage of convenience part is entering the game only after the 50% mark.

Besides the reasons why I like this book, you might like it if you like:
- Closed-door romance
- Sweet, cute, wholesome romance
- Pretty low-key, low-stake romance
- This was a different take on a marriage of convenience because usually in books with this trope hero and heroine do not like each other and it is used to create some banter and force them to be in each other's proximity, which is not the case in this book. Tasha and Pierre are friends when they decide to get married.

Note: I also posted my review on Goodreads and Instagram.

I wake up wanting to talk to you, I go to sleep thinking about you, and I dream about you holding me the way only you do. - unknown

When Tasha attends an author event to meet her favorite romance author she is gobsmacked to find out Amelie is, most shockingly, a he. Amelie de Pierre is actually Pierre Toussaint, who is also an exquisite, devastatingly handsome French specimen, in Tasha’s opinion. And he has decided to let the world know this secret he has been keeping for years. Tasha makes quite a bumbling first impression, but then shows her true calm, collected, and capable side when comes to his rescue in escaping an out of control fan. Those moments together spark a fast and comfortable friendship…and lay the groundwork for a scheme Pierre’s publicist is cooking up to help him stay in the states on an improper visa status. You guessed it— a modern day marriage of convenience!

There is so much to love with story. Tasha and Pierre are a match made in heaven. They may be from different sides of the pond, but they have lots in common and have tons of chemistry together. The instant domesticity and compatibility they find is the sweetest. And both have adorable supportive families.

I loved how Pierre picked up on American phrases that he learned from Nate and used them as if they were second nature to him. Tasha’s determination to learn French was just as cute. I was so excited for the cameos from Ben and Summer!! And having the familiar faces and places pop up that we have come to love from Harvest Hollow was the cherry on top.

This is my fourth read of the Sweater Weather series and I thought Savannah did a great job with infusing “southerness” into the conversations, especially with the BookstaBesties. What is a good conversation without a “Bless her heart”?!? Also her inclusion (ode, if you will, in appreciation) of social media and bookstagram and the likes made the story even more special.

I enjoyed this book way too much!
A Not So Fictional Fall is book 3 in the Sweater Weather see by Savannah Scott.
And now I’m making it my mission to buy and devour the first two books in this fantastic series. Because I freaking devoured book three.
And the cover art!!! Amazing!
So, this book was everything! I immediately feel in love with the characters and storyline. The characters were adorable, the tension was so good.
This has been a wholesome, warm, cozy hug in a book.
I was hooked from the first page and felt myself getting butterflies because of these two phenomenal characters.
I’m obsessed with Scott’s writing and will be reading anything and everything she writes.
This book is just absolute perfection.

A Not So Fictional Fall is a sweet romance novel by Savannah Scott.
I absolutely adored this romance novel. The story line was easy to follow and had a great cast of characters. The chemistry between the main characters was sweet. A really enjoyable read that I highly recommend.

This book was so charming! The perfect cute and cozy fall read!

I loved both MC's. Their personalities were pleasant and endearing. I think their dynamic was perfect! Tasha is a book lover and meets her favorite female romance author who happens to be the man Pierre. Their first interaction was funny and loved that they became fast friends.

I love a good marriage of connivence and this was done nicely! I really like the setting of the blue ridge mountains, it really set the setting.

Thank you NetGalley, Savannah Scott, and Victory Editing for this arc!

Perfect Fall marriage of convience, slow burn (no spice) romance. Minor spoiler imagine your favorite author is actually a pen name and she's actually he and HE is the guy you dubed the french professor. Highly recommend reading this on an e-reader so you can translate some of the conversations that aren't translated.

This book was absolutely adorable! It has everything you want from a RomCom with a little French thrown in. I really enjoyed how the story is told from both of the main characters. Because of that, we are given insight into to thoughts of the man while he falls in love, something too often missing from books like this. Both characters were lovely, and the whole book was delightful.

Tasha is so excited to meet her favorite author, Amelie de Pierre, but when she gets to the event she finds out that Amelie is really a he! Pierre is a hot Frenchman who isn't sold on love but he needs a visa to stay in the US so a marriage of convenience is suggested.

I really liked this book and the characters were lovable. It was funny without talking away from the story.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!!

Oh, this was delightful!

I have loved every book in this series and this one was no exception. So adorable. So sweet. So very swoony. And the pining. Such delicious pining.

If you're looking for a kissing only, friends to lovers via marriage of convenience romance, this is the book for you.

When Pierre finally agrees to a book tour in the US publicising his famous romance novels and incidentally announcing that he is the author despite using a female pen name, he has no idea what he's let himself in for. He feared rejection - but found women mobbing him. It might be better than the alternative - but then again, for a private, introverted person, maybe not. However, worse is yet to come, when he discovers the need for a marriage of convenience to a woman whom he's refused to accept his attraction to... As his 'falling in love' gradually seems less and less fictional, can he and Tasha make their marriage something less than fictional too?

This is the first book I've read by the author, but I'll definitely be looking out for more. I enjoyed getting to know both Pierre and Tasha, and rejoiced when they finally got to the point of recognising and being willing to share their feelings. There was some great humour, but also plenty of feeling - and all clean. I particularly appreciated the way that Tasha's focus felt like it was on helping Pierre rather than on what she could get out of it (okay, I know the money came into it in some ways, but no more than was reasonable). All in all, a delightful fun read, a great escape from 'real life' that's more than just fluff - and with a great ending. Recommended.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

Rating: 4 stars
Spice: Kisses from a sexy French professor 😉
Language:Clean

Let me first say I love the word play of this title. Set in fall, falling in love 😍.
Followed second by now I want to learn French. I never had quite imagined how sexy it would be to be spoken in the language of love while kissing. I'm thoroughly on board.
I did enjoy this book perhaps not quite to the same extent of the rest of the series. Which is only to say it took me two days to read instead of just one.
I love the movie The Proposal and this book certainly has a  similar plot. I felt that the relationship between our characters was very natural considering the short time frame from their first introduction to their wedding day. I was very glad it didn't feel rushed. I also really related to Tasha, perhaps because of her love of books and phobia of heights. Now where can I meet a romantic and gorgeous Frenchman like Pierre?

I recieved an ARC from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a nice read and my second in the sweater weather series. This is a stand alone book despite the series label as it is only interconnected by the setting and some of the characters. I hadn't read this author before and the gamble paid off. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it - I liked that the main characters had progression and not in a dramatic form.

I also liked the French that the author brought into the story. It meant that I used the translate function on my kindle app a bit, but it added to the authenticity of the male lead (as opposed to the tv shows where they are supposed to be a different ethnicity and all just speak English).

I receive complimentary books for various sources including, Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation.

"I feel like I've been run over by a truck. A truck I want to chase down and ask to run over me again and again. That kiss awakened something in me I thought was dead, or at least dormant. And I can not allow myself to want more."

A Not So Fictional Fall is a sweet and swoony marriage of convenience romcom. This story follows Pierre who is a famous French romance author and Tasha who is a bookstagrammer and audio narrator. They meet when Tasha goes to an author signing for one of his books, and it's truly a funny meet cute. You could feel the initial attraction between them from the beginning. A tricky situation leads them into accepting a marriage of convenience. While Pierre says he's not romantic, it seems as though he can't be anything but with Tasha. They end up having to spend most of their time together to sell the marriage, and the both of them try to hide from the chemistry that they feel. I loved getting to know Pierre and Tasha. The side characters in this story were amazing as well. Heather, Tasha's sister, and Rene, Pierre's best friend, grew on me. I would love to see them get their own story one day.

A Not So Fictional Fall is the sixth book in the Sweater Weather series. They all take place in the same small fictional town. Each book can be read as a standalone or in any order. I have yet to read one that I didn't love. It was fun picking up on the easter eggs found in this story that referenced the others.

This story releases on October 5th, you need it!

I am a fan, a lover of fake relationships and marriages of convenience but until now I didn't know how good a French protagonist could be. Now I need more books with characters like Pierre
.
This book is all you need to get into sweater weather, cozy fall and autumn leaves with spicy apple and pumpkin flavors mode.
.
Tasha is an audio narrator and bookstagrammer who is a fan of romance and when she plans to go to the romance convention with her booksta friends to meet their favorite authors she ends up discovering that her favorite writer, Amelie de Pierre is actually the pen name of Pierre Touisant, a handsome french writer
.
After a clumsy introduction, Tasha continues to encounter Pierre in situations where he needs help and they begin a great friendship.
.
But upon returning home, to her daily life she receives a call from Pierre's agent and a marriage proposal that is difficult to reject, especially when the changes can bring her closer to her family and she eagerly waits to chat and share time with Pierre again
.
With no third act break up, with a close-knit family and all the scenes of a cozy hallamark romance vibes in a town like Stars Hollow, this is the perfect book to start the fall mood wherever season you are
.
Thanks to Savannah Scott for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my voluntary and honest opinion

Well, if this book didn’t solidify my love for Savannah‘a writing, nothing will. This book is like a warm hug on a crisp fall day. I could not stop smiling and I laughed out loud so many times.

I’ve also decided I want French MMCs for all my books, Pierre is the ultimate book boyfriend. Swoon! I wanted to highlight everything he said and I could imagine it all in a perfect French accent. Tasha is adorable and sweet and just the most sunshiny FMC and I loved her. She felt so real and relatable (and not just because I’m also a bookstagrammer).

She and Pierre are 🔥 together and I just could not deal with their perfect chemistry. This book has no open door spice but it is still so steamy and swoony and made me melt into a puddle time and time again.

With the strangers to lovers, marriage of convenience, opposites attract tropes you’d think it would be perfect, but then you add in no third act break up and the small town feels and I am in heaven!

Thank you to the author and Netgalley for the eARC of this book. I’m officially in love and need this book on my shelf as a new comfort read for the rest of my life!

I LOVE A FALL READ. Fall is my favorite season so whenever I find a book with fall in the theme, I am immediately drawn to it. This book was an easy read and I loved it! I'll probably read it every fall!

I think this might be my favorite of the #sweaterwestherseries so far! I have read the first two and this is book 6! Yes it was another quick read but I loved Pierre and Tasha so so much. Maybe it was because this one took us from Harvest Hollow to California and then New York or maybe it was simply Pierre’s French accent 😉

Fake relationship/marriage of convenience may be my new favorite trope. Something about these two and their families was just so sweet. This was another closed door romance but I truly wish the door was slightly ajar lol. The romance was strong in this one and I swooned over this story!

A Not so Fictional fall by Savannah Scott is 5 stars!!!
It’s been a long time since I stayed up hours past my bedtime, unable to put the book down.
I love everything about this one. Tasha is relatable, just looking to get away with some friends and meet her favorite author. (S)he turns out to be a down to earth, private, Frenchman. Pierre’s pen name has been under the guise of a woman and during a fan event, he reveals the truth of his identity. An easy friendship forms naturally with an undercurrent of chemistry. Their comfortable report was endearing and they just fit, like slipping into a warm sweater. It did not feel forced and they just both fit into each other’s life, complimenting each other and bringing balance. I love how he calls her Cher, the lingering glances, and the attraction that builds. The fall setting is just perfect and adds to the warmth and comfort of the tale. The ending is absolutely one of the most satisfying romantic gestures and hits all the right places for me.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is part of a collaboration of 7 closed door RomCom authors known as the Sweater Weather series. . Each of the books can be read as standalone stories. They are connected by being set in the same small town in North Carolina, although about a quarter of this book happens in other places. That made it feel a bit disconnected from the others in this series that I have read. This isn't necessarily a negative comment, just an observation.

I liked the modern day marriage of convenience aspect. It can be difficult to make that seem plausible in our contemporary society. I also appreciated the author's efforts to avoid risqué situations, even though the couple was married.

Both Pierre and Tasha are very likeable to the reader and to each other. There are some entertaining side characters as well that help to round out the story and add the com to romcom.

I thank the author and Netgalley for the advanced digital copy and am happy to leave an honest review.
