Tasha flies across the country to meet her favorite author, Amelie de Pierre, in California just to find out that it is actually a man who has been writing the romances she loves to read. When they meet, there is instant attraction and they find out that they are actually living super close to each other back in NC. When they return, there are pictures of them leaked making it appear as if they are in a relationship and Pierre finds himself in need of a Visa and Tasah could help him get that with an arranged marriage.
This was such a sweet marriage of convenience story!! Tasha and Pierre obviously had instant chemistry and I loved Pierre’s best friend, Rome, trying to stir those feelings up. I also liked that Tasha got to meet some friends from bookstagram while on the trip to meet Amelie de Pierre! Overall, this was a sweet, swoon worthy read!
A Not So Fictional Fall is the sixth book in the Sweater Weather Series that is written by multiple authors. They are all set in the same fictional town and can be read as standalone or in order. Thanks to @savannahscott_author for this advanced copy!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC! This closed-door romance was so sweet and funny. The characters were lovable and had me engaged with the story from the start! The building romance between Tasha and Pierre was very believable and SO. DANG. CUTE. This was the perfect read for fall and I highly recommend it!!
Loved this! Read it all in one day and I really enjoyed the start to finish of the story. The french parts had me giggling and kicking my fight while I was reading although there were a couple that never got translated after so I did have use the translation on my kindle. I am curious to see where you go with showing heather and nate as I really enjoyed both of them and I hope Rene is a apart of it! Definitely one of my favorite reads so far this month!
Prior to reading A Not So Fictional Fall, I read the first two novels from the Sweater Weather series: Just Don't Fall and The Fall Back Plan. I really enjoyed both and they hit 4⭐️ notes for me. However, A Not So Fictional Fall just swept me off my feet and I loved every second of it. Absolutely 5⭐️ for me!
As someone who has met some of my closest friends online due to a shared love of a tv show, I immediately connected with Tasha and her bookstagram besties. I literally had the same conversations with my friends/family before I traveled to meet my online friends for the first time. Their friendship dynamic was sweet and I really loved their interactions.
My favorite tropes are fake dating and marriage of convenience. And this marriage of convenience book had me in my all my feels. It was so sweet and uncomplicated. But I also deeply felt Tasha and Pierre's growing attraction, their longing and the fears that came with all of the realization of their feelings. Tasha and Pierre are just so stinkin cute I can hardly stand it. I just adore them!
Overall, this book is like being wrapped in a warm blanket. It is delightfully cozy and the perfect fall read!
