Given the issues surrounding this author I am not longer able to read or review this book. I am truly sorry that is the outcome. I did have high hopes for this book after reading the blurb.

I was so dissapointed by what happened with this author because she wrote a really good book but her actions were absolutely unacceptable. Hurting other people does not make the bully look any better.

Was not able to get into this book. The beginning was slower paced than I was hoping for. Would recommend to someone who likes a slower paced story.

I DNF'd this book at 30%. I had no connection to the plot, nor the characters and really found myself struggling to reading knowing how the author totally has blasted and bullied fellow authors, and never took any accountability. I am unable to support an author that does this.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was meh.

Wow. What a wonderful ending to a wonderful series. So much action, adventure, and the breaking down of walls. All the lingering strings were gathered and tied up by the end, but I’m still wondering what happens next for them. I hope there will be more adventures in the future.

i read this book before all the drama with the author so i can’t give it an actual review but i really liked it before i found out what a weirdo the author is

I read this book *before* the author was exposed for review-bombing other authors, which is incredibly terrible. But with that being said, since this was an ARC and I need to complete a review:

The book was okay. The banter between Ariadne and Dionysus was fun, and the romance (and spice) was not without mention of healing through family/religious trauma, which I thought was a nice touch and gave a bit of depth to the book.

The one main gripe I had with the book was the concept of being in space. I understand that it was a way to make it different and sci-fi-ish, but it did not really land for me. I thought of it as a way to take the characters/armies to different places quickly, and not really a well fleshed-out concept.

I wouldn’t re-read, but it was good enough to get through.

I never had the chance to read this book because the publisher archived it before the release date. Also, the author's bad behavior led to her contract being rescinded.

Crown of Starlight by Cait Corrain is a captivating and well-crafted novel that promises an exciting and adventurous journey for readers. The characters, particularly the strong and capable heroine, are truly intriguing and add depth to the story.

i was not a fan of this one. the story and characters all seemed to lack depth and the plot just wasn’t there.

I’m going to start this review by saying that it’s really disappointing that this author was so insecure that they felt the need to do what they did, but I committed to reviewing this book. So here I am.

I actually really enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the mashup of Greek mythology with space, and thought it was a cool twist to what can be a very overdone story. Ariadne and Dionysus aren’t shown in retellings as much, and I’ll definitely be seeking out more stories about them.

I think some of the plot could’ve been a little bit condensed, but it didn’t drag to the point that I was bored.

Overall, I enjoyed this story, and it’s unfortunate that it’s so tainted now. Alas, it is what it is at this point.

I did not enjoy the writing style. The character arcs were interesting but I ultimately didn’t like the resolution. There was a lot of promise and the premise was intriguing. I think it would have benefited from further editing. Just not the story for me.

I couldn't hold interest in this at all, and I am someone who can read damn near anything. The dialogue is choppy and obnoxious, the FMC is so selfish it makes me want to yak, and the overall story is just non-existent.

A sexy scifi retelling of Ariadne from Crete and her relationship with the Greek god Dionysus. Ariadne's family life isn't great, what with her abusive father fully expecting her to follow as his heir in ruling Crete, and her poor mad minotaur brother locked away in the labyrinth below. When she finally sees a chance to break free, she takes it. Unfortunately she jumps out of the frying pan and into the fire. Luckily she soon meets Dionysus, one of the gods no longer accepted by her people, and boy is he godly. They strike up a deal and she follows him home to Olympus. Too bad their troubles don't stop there...

I really did enjoy this retelling. Sci-fi/ Greek myth is a bit of a weird mashup, but I had fun reading. Ariadne's story isn't one I've seen too often and I could feel the true romance between her and Dionysus. She had a lot of trauma to work through, and she comes out the other side stronger than ever. The novel is a little sexier than I prefer, but hey what do you expect with the god of debauchery? It's unfortunate that the sequel won't be produced due to the author's controversy, as I was left quite curious as to how Ariadne's story would play out.

Due to the controversy regarding Cait Corrain and her deliberate review bombing of fellow debut authors, as well as BIPOC and LGBT authors, not to mention the fact that it will no longer be published (any time soon, at least), I would prefer to refrain from reading and reviewing this book and redirect my energy and time towards authors who are deserving of it.

I will not be reviewing this book due to the author’s actions and the book being withdrawn from publication. I was drawn in to the premise of the book being a mix of sci-fi and fantasy. I appreciate the digital copy provided by the publisher and NetGalley, and look forward to reading other books in this genre in the future.
