The beginning of this book put me off but I kept at it and I am glad I did. It starts with a child's death and then you get the perspective of a young girl who is in love with her boss. He plays her and I was so annoyed with her. Who even likes men that much? Not me.
A lot of terrible stuff happens to this poor girl.
Then we get the man's perspective. I hate him but I love hating men in books. It was great!
The mother's/wife's perspective was great because we need it after that.
It was wonderful! I am so glad I read it.
Twenty one year old Ellie Taylor works for PC Plus Peripherals. Her boss, Jake Harington is friendly, approachable and drop dead gorgeous. Ellie never imagined that when he called her into his office, he would be asking her if she could babysit for his two children - Ollie aged six and Fern, three months. From the moment Ellie enters their home she is aware of the antagonism that exists between Jake and his glamorous interior designer wife Megan. She soon finds herself not only a spectator in their war of words, but often a victim of Megan's vicious tongue. If she had any sense she would leave, but she has developed feelings for Jake, seeing him as a brave and devoted father, navigating a difficult relationship and trying to protect his children. Written from her viewpoint, the story reaches a situation where Ellie finds herself in a nightmare situation. One where a secret from her past has come back to haunt her. As I turned the page to see what happened next, the story changed and Megan and Jake took over the narrative. Their viewpoints told a different story and at times I wasn't sure who to feel sorry for, or whether I felt sorry for either of them. It's clear they share a guilty secret; one which forces them to stay together.
They are both unhappy people whose personal perceptions of events both past and present are totally different, and yet plausible. So who to believe? As the story comes to its conclusion and Ellie begins a new chapter in her life, it seemed to me that although she looked ahead confidently predicting a happy future for herself with a new partner, she was definitely viewing the world through rose tinted glasses and had no idea what the future might have in store for her.
A compelling read.

I really enjoyed this book! I look forward to reading other books by this author. There were so many twists in this book I didn’t see coming. But then again I rarely can figure books out. I would definitely recommend this book!
I look into Fern's crib, and my heart pounds. I'm her nanny. I was supposed to keep her safe. I hear the police downstairs, and the next words I hear make my legs buckle underneath me. "It was the nanny. She's guilty." When I first walked into Jake and Megan's home, I felt totally at ease. Sitting in the crisp white living room, they held hands and talked lovingly about their baby daughter, Fern. As the weeks passed, I began to think I'd made a mistake in taking the job. Jake was over friendly from the start, watching my every move and always offering me to drop me home, even though it was out of his way. And Megan seemed to take pleasure in telling me off in front of her husband, blaming me for things I hadn't done.
This story is told from multiple points of view. Jake and Megan both have busy lives. They hire Ellie to look after their son Ollie and baby girl, Fern. This is an addictive and gripping read. I was hooked by the prologue, and I could not put the book back down again. We get twist after twist. There are hidden secrets, sinister tones, and I loved the twist at the end. Sheryl knows how to weave a suspenseful story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Ellie is grateful to get the chance to work as a childminder for Jake and Megan, especially given her history, but things quickly turn sour and she doesn't know if she can take Megan being nasty to get and blaming her for things. Just what is going on in that house? A thrilling story of secrets and lies, this is a gripping read that keeps you turning the pages until the shocking ending.
This book started out really strong for me. However it was EXTREMELY similar to other books I’ve read. So much so to where I had to just check for myself what the plot was of the previous story I’ve read.
This dragged on about 100 pages too long in my opinion. The potential for a great domestic thriller was there but it ultimately fell short for me since it was so similar to other books I’ve read.
The queen of prologues did it again. From this chapter, I knew I was going to need to strap in for a twisty ride and my first impression was right. Buckle up!
I couldn’t put down, ‘We All Keep Secrets.’ As soon as Ellie walked into Jake and Megan’s home, I felt the tension between all the characters. Megan’s immediate hostility had me flicking through the pages wondering why she’d reacted that way.
The secrets wowed me and the heartbreak was powerful too. Every character in this book had something to hide as the title suggests. Just when I thought I had it figured out, my theory was turned on its head. I loved how Sheryl treated us to both Megan’s and Ellie’s POVs in abundance. There are two sides to every story and I got to see both. Then Jake’s chapters came along, like little tantalising nuggets and I was like… hello. Then there was even more insight.
If you’re looking for an engaging, addictive, and brilliant psychological thrill ride, this is the one for you!
Thank you to Netgallery and the publisher for the ARC. The publication date for this book is the 6th Nov 2023.
Wow where to start with this book… I devoured it within a few days it gripped me from the very first page of the prologue I had loads of questions and was dying to find out what would happen next.
The book had so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat and quickly turning the pages well into the night! The characters were well written and my favourite character was Megan as I felt like she was always scheming and I would wonder what she would do next.
Overall, a gripping and pulse- racing 5 star read! 😊
Jake and Megan need a child minder. Enter Ellie. From the first day, Ellie is witness to the ugliness of their marriage
In this gripping thriller, you are exposed to a warped marriage for many reasons! If you have read Sheryl Brown, you know the ride you are embarking on. If this is your first book by her, hang on tight for a riveting ride!!!!

What a gripping book! I was invested from the very beginning, and it just kept getting better and better as I continued reading. The last part was chock full of so many twists and turns, and the ending was amazing! I loved every moment, and will gladly read more from this author!
This book was a page-turner!! After reading the prologue and getting a few chapters in, I really thought I had an idea of what happened. As I continued to read, I changed my mind and then I thought I had it figured out but nope, the ending took me by a complete surprise. Jake, Megan, and Ellie all had their own issues and were hiding things but mixing the three of them together was not a good idea. However, it really added to the suspense and twists and just made the book an overall great read! I finished this in less than 24 hours, that is how hooked on it I was!
I did notice a few grammatical and punctuation errors while reading but I assume those will be fixed before publication!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy! :)
3 stars/5
*Mini spoilers ahead*
I was very excited to read this book as it was advertised as similar to "The housemaid". The problem is that it was a tad too similar to "The housemaid" book, from the wealthy couple, nanny with a secret past and affair between the nanny and the rich, caring husband whom proves to be the total opposite.
I did enjoy the short chapters and the style of writing, however it is not a book I would revisit due to being a bit too predictable after diving into similar stories previously to this. If you want a book to keep you entertained and a bit uncertain of who is the good and the bad guy AND you have not yet read "The housemaid" then I recommend this book.
I would like to thank the author, the publishing house and NetGalley for allowing me to have this reading experience before the book was released.
I loved the first half of this book, following the story of Ellie taking a manny position at her bosses house. All isn’t as it seems when cracks appear in Jake and Megan’s marriage. Why is Megan so horrible?
Then the book switches to Jake and Megan’s view, which I found hard to read as a lot of the story was repeated. I found myself just skimming over the second half of the book which unfortunately is why I’ve given 3 stars for this one.
Sheryl Browne never ceases to amaze me . have read
quite a few of her books, and they always have a plot
that pulls you in and doesn't let go until the last page turned.
We All Keep Secrets is no different . The characters
are well crafted, and each have their own
complexities. They all have hidden motives and secretive dark pasts and no redeeming qualities.
ljust wish there was more of a backstory about Ellie
( the nanny).
The storyline was engaging and immersive for the
first half of the book when it was the Nanny's point of
view. Then it changed to Jake and Meghan's POV and
became repetitive in retelling the story again but
with some subtle changes
Here, I found myself skipping paragraphs and skimming pages.
While there were things I didn't like, there were some
great twists and turns and an ending I didn't see coming
Overall, fans of psychological thrillers will enjoy this
book. It's gripping and suspenseful, and you won't want to miss out.
Thank you to bookature and Netgally for allowing me an advanced copy. The review was voluntary.
Just finished We All Keep Secrets by Sheryl Browne, and wow! I was so invested in it and could not put the book down. I love how the point of view changes, as well as your opinion of the characters because of it. I felt for Ellie and hated Megan initially. Then I felt for Megan and hated Jake. Then felt for Jake and was just continuously on my toes! I wanted to cry for, and shake sense into Ellie. The epilogue threw me for a loop and left my jaw on the floor. Well done Sheryl Browne!
Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for allowing me to read We All Keep Secrets in return for my honest review!
14th book by this author for me ( can hardly believe its 14 as remember Book 1 as was one of the first books reviewed ) and this time, as the title suggests, we have a book about secrets
As always though with the author it’s not just a basic look at a subject but an in depth multi layered character driven story
Without giving much away this is about a marriage, a sibling and someone who enters the marriage as a worker unaware of what they are getting into, although its made quickly apparent…..
Loved ( of course ) the reference to a P/T cruiser car 😎
A not so much quick moving as evolving storyline that got the reader to see more and more of these characters as the book went on, a court case and a sharp last line making it a very good interesting read
Sheryl Browne is one of the author's that if I see a book by her I must read.
Unfortunately, 2hile I enjoyed the first part of the book, the second part was a less thrilling version of the first, told from a different perspective who I just couldn't connect with.
Thanks Netgalley and publisher for allowing me to read this advanced copy for my honest review.
All thoughts and opinions are my own and aren't influenced by anyone else
I have to say I really enjoyed the first half of the book but the second half went downhill for me as I felt like I was reading the book again as the story was told again from the perspective of each character so had to skip a lot of the pages. The characters were good but the end could have been better I did feel a bit let down by the second half of the book.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC
We All Keep Secrets by Sheryl Browne is a psychological thriller that will keep your heart pounding from start to finish. This is the first book that I have read from this author, but it won't be my last. This book kept me up well into the night because I could not put it down.
I liked that the author told the story from both the nanny's and Jake and Megan's perspective and that they were completely different from the other.
There are so many twists and turns that you will not see coming.
Clear your schedule because you will not be able to put this one down.
We all keep secrets is a quick and easy read. Ellie Taylor is working for Jake and Meghan caring for their 2 young children but she has a secret that she's keeping from them. The last time she cared for a child it didn't end well. Ellie soon realises they are a dysfunctional couple with a toxic marriage of which neither of them are in a hurry to escape from as they also have their own secrets.
I enjoyed most of this novel, the first three quarters are told from Ellies point of view, when we hear from Jake and Meghan it becomes slightly repetitive but at the same time tells the story from their perspective leaving the reader wondering who is actually telling the truth.
