I received this ARC courtesy of NetGalley and Kenya Wright. I missed the earlier books in the series; however, this one was a fairly interesting read... nothing like a big, brawny Mafia-type of man (The Lion) getting cowed and led around by his nose by a petite, pretty woman (The Mouse). Everyone seems to have their own level of psychosis
and are hypersexual. This kind of reminds of the Harlequin Romances that I used to sneak and read in middle school...only raunchier. I'd recommend this book to anyone with a bit of voyeur in them.

Thank you to NetGalley for this audio ARC. I really loved this book but I wasn't aware it was apart of a series. it's book 7.5 but I continued anyways. I wanna say first of all I'm really impressed with the narrators, they do the Russian accent really well so it makes the audio even better, The female main character of this book has an alter ego that kills and is pretty bloodthirsty. With the tame side of our FMC, she's mom of a baby with her "Lion" Kaz named Amelio. Between the shady Russian stuff and the really spicy sex between Kaz and Emily it's really entertaining. This is considered a dark romance but I don't personally think it is, just really sexy and with acton. If you love spice with shady stuff then I do recommend!

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and netgalley for allowing me to listen to Dirty Flowers by Kenya Wright in exchange for my honest opinion. When going into this book I didn't know much about it much less that it was apart of a series and I'm so glad I did request it

I had absolutely no idea this was a series when I requested to get an ARC of this book. Some series you can skip other books and it doesn’t matter but this is not one of those series. This jumped right into a storyline that had me very lost/confused but I was able to get into the story line once I figured out what was going on. I wish I had had time to go back and read the first 7 books in this series before reading this one! I think if you’ve read the other books and have made it this far you will definitely love the audio for Dirty Flowers! I loved to dual narration and how engrossed it made me in the story. This book ends on a cliffhanger that has me wanting to find out what happens next!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the advanced audio copy! All thoughts are my own.

Dirty Flowers is the latest installment of Wright's "Lion and the Mouse" series. I have read several of those books on KU, and won't review the storyline here. Instead, I would like to review the audio experience of this story, which is new for me.
There are two narrators : one representing the Lion; the other represents the Mouse. The male narrator (the Lion) offers a passable Russian accent and he resists the temptation to put on a "Black" affect when voicing the Harlem Crew. The female narrator does well, too.

Together, I am engrossed in the narration, and would recommend the audio version for your enjoyment.

I didn’t realize this was a series going in, and unlike some romances you really do need to read the previous ones for this one to work for you. The writing is great, but ultimately there is too much violence and an additional plot point that make me know the series isn’t for me personally to read the other books. I’m sure if you have come this far in the series you will enjoy this installment and are more invested in these characters.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
