When old-world demons, modern-day mages, and irresistible attraction collide, desire becomes the most powerful and dangerous weapon of all, in this spellbinding new series from New York Times bestselling author Alexandra Ivy . . .
Great plot, great characters, great world-building. I look forward to the rest of the series.

This was a quick, fun read. Maybe a little too fast? The world-building could have been developed more but I really enjoyed the characters and that made up for it. Their banter was cute and funny and each one had a unique arc of their own.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to review. Opinions are my own.

I've not read this Author before but I love a good paranormal romance. I was really pleasantly surprised. The world is nicely drawn out as a place where magic exists in pockets called gyres where demons and fairies converge so they can feel normal. Mages also like to hang out there because magic. I gather from my read that demons and fairies are like the major groups and Vampires and goblins are subsections of them. Humans are of course oblivious. At any rate our ML is the Vampire ruler of NYC who rules with an iron fist and is utterly fascinated by our FL. She is a mage ( not a witch those are nearly powerless humans that are outside the system) with amazing amounts of power and a really sad backstory. So it's a bit like a billionaires girlfriend trope but with a mystery to solve. The FL is drawn back to her former home and her nasty mother whose quest for power has led to the death of her coven and crazy evil mojo. The relationship between our leads is cute, kinda expected in ways hence trope. But it was nice. What I enjoyed even more was the story of the leads trying to figure out a mystery and protect their communities while navigating their relationship. This is a fun book and a good weekend read. Definitely enjoyed it. Thanks to Netgalled and A. Ivy's publisher for letting me get a read. Romance lovers will enjoy this one so go read it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. (via Netgalley)
Actual review close to 3.75 stars. The pacing was good, making it an easy read. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was it going from instalust (fine lol) to instalove (less fine imo).

Peri is a Mage who escaped her mother and coven with her life. She has a found family and living life when her mother is mysteriously killed. It is up to Peri and her enemy, Valen, to solve the evil that has been unleased in their world.
I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read and can't wait to continue to read the second book in this series. I will say I wish it could have been a little longer and the author took more time for character development and world building.

The plot itself was well paced, keeping me engaged with plenty of action, and guessing as it twisted. There was also an enticing array of interesting characters. A book worth reading.

Peri has a wild magic and must flee her ranch to save her own life. She meets Valen, a vampire. They must work together to solve a mystery.
Love Valen and Peri together. Such amazing chemistry. Terrific characters on their own. The plot is good. Terrific pacing.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

I received an advanced reader's copy of Wild Magic by Alexandra Ivy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, I enjoyed this novel and it made for a quick, easy read. The main characters - witch Peri and vampire Valen - were an interesting match but they worked as a couple. Their banter was entertaining, they had decent chemistry, and they were pretty cute together. This novel was well written and the plot was exciting from start to finish.

This beautiful book had me entranced from the first few pages. I quickly became invested in the twisting and turning journey that Peri takes. A bit obvious with the love interest I could have been more excited to see a little more hesitation from both sides. But the overall story is beautifully written for it not being a relatively long novel. The ending has me excited for more to come!

I've read a lot of paranormal books by this author and this one stood out as being very different. No Levet,, no real humour actually just an interesting world with both humans and those possessed of magic. Peri is a Mage and please note that's very different to what we consider to be a Witch. She's had an awful life but has found her place with two other Mages and has no wish to kowtow to anyone not even the Vampire that rules the area with an iron fist. So when her mother is killed in mysterious circumstances and Vallen insists on accompanying her Peri accepts his presence as long as he realises that she doesn't need his help or does she ?
I thoroughly enjoyed this and applaud the author on keeping the romance on the backburner and allowing the story and mystery to take centre space. So often the romance and steamy scenes can overtake the journey but not in this book. I very much look forward to reading more set in this world.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

When Peri learns that her estranged mother and the coven of witches she lead were found dead, she must face her past. When she was sixteen her mother tried to kill her and that was when she became a mage and her wild magic was released.
Valen is a powerful vampire and is thousands of years old. He has been attracted to Peri since he first saw her. Valen follows Peri to Wyoming and they discover a powerful entity has been let loose and it wants Peri's magic. Can they stop it before it drains the life out of Peri?
Excellent new series. Vampire, mages, witches oh my. There is a cliffhanger. Great chemistry between Peri and Valen. Loved the story and can't wait for the next one.
