A quick and yet delightful story, with a christmas setting clichê trope well built and a compelling narrative perfect for the holidays. Well done!

Frosty FUN!! I adored this book. It was my first read from Liz Alden and I truly enjoyed the story and the writing-style with dual points of view from the main characters. A fun holiday romance story with the right amount of discovery, misunderstanding, and steamy scenes. The story moves nicely and smoothly without gaps or over-explanations and allows the reader to enjoy the frosty encounters and and the hot romance.

This book has completely immersed me in the holiday spirit.

"Frosty Proximity" introduces us to Kara, who unexpectedly finds herself stranded during the holidays due to a relentless snowstorm, disrupting her plans to return home. In a serendipitous turn of events, her client, Peter, extends a heartfelt invitation for her to join in the Chanukah celebrations with his family. This heartwarming and fast-paced novel provided the perfect holiday reading experience. Despite its short length, it never felt rushed.

The story expertly balances sweet, heartwarming interactions with sizzling moments, and Peter's family's warmth and hospitality towards Kara are particularly heartening.

I want to extend my gratitude to Liz Alden and NetGalley for granting me the privilege to read and review an advanced copy of this book. All the thoughts and opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

This was short and cute. I liked seeing Kara interact with Peter's family, she was such a good influence. I wanted a bit more between them but it's a novella so it was as much as it could be.

I received an arc through netgalley.

Natgalley book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

What a cute little holiday themed grumpy x sunshine novel. I really enjoyed reading it, and it’s the perfect length if you need to get a fresh outlook after a long book, or even a break in the middle of a really really long book (which I am now). I read this in about 2 hours, but that doesn’t mean the story wasn’t well written or felt incomplete.

I also really enjoyed the festive season aspect being mostly in Europe, it lent to the magic of the season so well. The MMC is Jewish and celebrating Hanukkah with his family, while the FMC is Christian, and I loved how the FMC and reader are taken through the customs and traditions in a magical and lovingly descriptive way.

The love story is sweet and genuine, and while there is not a lot of spice (it’s a short novel after all), the spice was good enough to give me the warm and fuzzies.

Lastly, I loved the inclusion of a LGBTQI+ a character, which was not there just to tick off some diversity box, but was a wonderful inclusion into the story line, and the trans character was handled with incredible care and sensitivity. Thank you for letting me read this ARC, a great holiday read to add to your TBR!

Short, sweet, and spicy holiday romance! You’ll fall in love with Kara and Peter and their whirlwind international love affair! The beautiful portrait of Hanukkah traditions and family ties pairs so perfectly with a couple thrust together by crazy travel circumstances. Really enjoyable novella!

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for my free copy. These opinions are my own.

If you're looking for a very quick, steamy, holiday filled good time of a romance, you will enjoy this. It ticks all the boxes of high holiday cheer, snowy fun, entertaining family antics. For a novella, there's even a decent amount of "plot" and character development. Thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.

I was so, so excited to be approved to receive an arc copy of Frosty Proximity and let me tell you I was not disappointed. Thank you to NetGalley and Liz Alden for this ARC in return for an honest review.

This was a cute, fluffy, wholesome Christmas/Hanukkah Novella about Peter and Kara. It’s grumpy/sunshine and Forced Proximity. Peter is her client and therefore off limits but when Kara is stranded in a foreign country for the holidays, he offers her to stay with his family. She is welcomed in with open arms and due to limited space in the house, they have to share a bed. Peter falls fast and hard in the CUTEST way!

Peter and Kara’s story is told beautifully in Liz Alden’s writing. I loved how the author discusses real life topics/issues with such compassion and sensitivity.

The banter between the characters was good, there was the right amount of tension, humour, chemistry and spice. Most importantly there was a Happy Ever After and who doesn’t love one of those!?

I finished this book in one sitting as it isn’t very long but it was just perfect! It has certainly got me in the mood to start working my way through Christmas reads!

A truly beautiful read, 4/5 stars ★★★★

Kara Dobreva is a personal stylist who has an outgoing personality and a passion for finding things that make her clients feel comfortable and confident in themselves. Kara is currently in Switzerland to do a fitting for her client, Peter Toch, before returning home to New York for the Christmas holiday. With some convincing from his coworker, Peter offers to take Kara to the airport the next day.
What they didn’t plan for was the storm of the century to come in sooner than expected. With all flights cancelled, Kara has not way of getting home for the holidays, but she’s in luck. Peter suggests that Kara stay with his family until the storm passes. Welcomed with open arms, Kara gets closer to her reserved client as she participates in Hanukah traditions with Peter and his family.
With a hallmark movie feel, and a bit of spice, this was a great quick read to get me ready for the upcoming holiday season! I enjoyed watching Peter come out of his shell as he and Kara got to know one another better. I felt like Kara and Peter complement each other well and bring out the best parts of one another. Although this story is short and I would have liked to see their relationship grow a bit more, it was able to capture tension, drama, and love that kept me interested throughout. The author did a great job at including both transgender and Jewish representation! Overall this is a fun read if you’re looking for a quick and sweet winter romance. ☃️❄️

I cannot believe how good this book was!! I’m not really a short-story or novella reader but this book did it for me. It’s officially entered me into a novella phase!

The book follows Peter and Kara—the former a businessman who’s into coding and the latter a businesswoman who has her own styling business. Peter is Kara’s client and the book follows their story as they meet up for a fitting session in Switzerland just around Christmas. Both have plans of finishing up and heading home for Hanukkah and Christmas respectively. Kara plans to go to New York while Peter goes to Germany to his family home.

But alas, a snow storm falters their plans and all flights are cancelled. There is no way Kara can go home now so Peter must do the gentlemanly thing and invite her to spend Hanukkah with his family. Chemistry burns, proximity increases and Peter and Kara give into the force that seems to be pulling them together.

There is obvious attraction from both sides but one lives in NY and one in Switzerland. Can national borders prevent them from having a relationship? Read to find out!

I love the smooth flow of the book, the Trans representation through Peter’s niece Sylvie and the holiday spirit encompassed by both Christmas and Hanukkah. There’s obvious chemistry, positive friendships and both strained and comforting family relations.

There’s really nothing you can’t love about this book! I thoroughly enjoyed it . It was a pretty fast read and I’d recommend reading it to all! Especially if you’re looking for something to finish off your reading goal.

Great book!

Age Rating: 14+

You need a hot cocoa while reading!

Stylist Kara Dobreva was trying to get home to New York for Christmas but her client Peter Toch invited her to stay with his family for Chanukah when all of the airports shut down so she would be alone during the storm of the century. But they have to share one bed at his family’s house!

Not many authors can mash up both Chanukah and Christmas and make it work between Kara and Peter in such a short time. Plus I loved Kara with helping Sylvie find her confidence.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This second book in the series is a jolly good addition and so much fun while dealing with some rather real and harsh issues that many deal with today. She is building a business around a job that she enjoys greatly and is top notch at, but her family all look down on her as frivolous and silly. He's worked his way to the top of his very technical field, is well respected, loves his family, but is terrified to get close to someone as they may turn out to be a bigot and hurt a close family member who is transitioning. He's Jewish, she's not. Can you see where I am going here? You got it! An opposites attract and oh boy, do they ever attract! You could also call it a grumpy sunshine as that fits along with the opposites attract theme and describes the characters well too! The story is sweet and heartfelt with just enough spice to ramp up the romance a bit! Once again, this author makes Christmas and Chanukah the holidays to love! I'm really hoping that we will see more books involving these characters and might Bea's story be next....please, please, please!!!! Ok, the reality of the author actually seeing my little review is slim, but if you all read the books (in order for best reading pleasure) and then also beg for Bea's story to be next then maybe we can make enough noise that she will write it! Kind of a reverse "create it and they will come" philosophy, you know we came so now you need to write it for us! So quick go get the Nutcracker with Benefits (a fun spicy read) then read this book then leave reviews and beg for Bea's story to be next! Help a girl out, would ya!?!

This is a perfect short romance story for the holiday season. Kara is a personal stylist that has been in Switzerland for work. When her flight is cancelled due to a snow storm her client Peter invites her to come with him to his parents' house and join the Hanukkah celebrations. The more time those two spend together the more they realize they could be good together. But he lives in Switzerland and she in N.Y.C
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it was full of relatable characters, great seasonal spirits and just fun to read.

I love a good Christmas hallmark-y grumpy/sunshine trope book. There's just nothing better to start out heading into the holiday seasons, but what sets this book apart from many others, is that it's a Christmas and Hanukkah book. Despite having that Hallmark feel, it also portrays real life/family issues.

I adored Kara and Peter and their banter. Peter is Kara's new client and she's trying to get beach to her family in New York
Yes, this might be a bit cliche because of the stuck at the airport because of the weather and her flight was canceled, but I think that's what many, including myself, also love about it. It brings upon that warm nostalgic feeling back. Naturally, Peter brings her back to celebrate Hanukkah with his family instead of staying holed up in a hotel by herself for the holidays.

It was wholesome but with some spice. It was a quick read that I did in one sitting but it was just right. I curled up on the couch with a blanket on a later afternoon and finished less than couple hours later.

Thanks to Netgalley and it's publishers for this ARC in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Frosty Proximity was a fun, entertaining and quick read romcom. This is book 2 of the Winter Wanderlust series therefore, I purchased and read book 1, Nutcracker with Benefits before starting book 2. I enjoyed both books in the series and I suspect she may do a third or at least I hope so. I’d love to see what happens with these characters. If you’re looking for a quick read with a bit of spicy this one’s a great read!

I adored this book! I read it in a day and it was so easy to breeze through! I loved watching Peter come out of his shell, and Kara was such a good vibe. I loved the family aspect, and seeing how Kara accepted Peter's family. Overall, I wish it was a bit more spicy, especially as it's such a short book, but it didn't take away from the romance which I enjoyed. I definitely recommend this for an easy, cosy, festive read!

A fun festive read. Kara is stranded in Switzerland with her client and ends up spending the time with his family. What will happen when it is time for her to return home to the US? A great short read.

Loved this!! Super cute and spicy!! Peter’s family was awesome and I loved all of the trans rep in this!! Definitely a great holiday read, the mix of Hanukkah and Christmas was great. If the family vibes don’t warm you up the spice definitely will!

I don’t think Liz can do anything badly?! This was an enjoyable novella. It didn’t feel as rushed as some other novellas are and the story was both entertaining and spicy. What more could you want??

I definitely recommend checking this one out for Christmas time!
