The story was good. It brought to life the beauty of a large family and the closeness between them. It made me want to sit on the porch swing and take part of their conversations. I felt the ending was a little rushed and would rather have had a series of stories follow. All in all it is a quick light-hearted read.
Thank you to the publisher for an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for a honest review.
Sister's in Paradise is the second book in the series by Carolyn Brown and while I usually love all her books, this one is a bit of a let down. I have not read the first book in the series and I don't think you need to because it's about two different sisters but I almost felt like I was missing the first half of the book when I read this one. It didn't feel like a complete book

Sisters in Paradise is the continuing saga of the Simmons sisters. Ophelia and Terita have returned to the Paradise and Aunt Bernie is fast at work with her match making skills. In true Carolyn Brown style, Sisters in Paradise is like going home with all the family there. Aunt Bernie is the aunt that you love but sometimes want to hide from especially if you have brought friends home. There will be moments of embarrassment. The storm scene almost seems unreal but then you are reminded that Spanish Fort is in Texas, crazy things happen and somethings you just can’t make up.
Thank you, Sourcebooks Casablanca, and NetGalley for ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Once again, Carolyn doesn't disappoint! It was good to be back at the paradise. Especially with Aunt Betnie still up to her antics. Everyone needs an aunt Bernie!
Romance, family bonds, friends/lovers. This book hits all the right marks! Even the animals have personalities so big its easy to picture. I cannot wait to recommend this to my library patrons!

It was an extremely easy read, follows a wholesome family with some great banter. Personally, I have not yet read the first book in the series, however it was easy to understand the storyline.
Was pleasantly surprised to find that this book explores the romance of not one but two of the Simmons Sisters. Great small-town vibes !!!

This book continues the story of 7 sisters in a small town. It is a light enjoyable read with delightful characters. I look forward to the next book in the series. This book is part of a series but could be read as a stand alone. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Cusses like a taxi driver. Romantic soul. Loves animals. Talks country music. All segments that when mixed together form still another lovely tale by Carolyn Brown. In SISTERS IN PARADISE Carolyn Brown creates another cast of fabulous characters. Rich with personality and goodness to their very souls. Sounds a lot like the author herself. As a devoted fan I can safely state that SISTERS IN PARADISE will keep you in stitches from start to finish. Get ready to meet a warm, close-knit family of girls all named Mary.
Lots of sass, angst, memories, and thoughts of love mixed into this latest recipe for a heartwarming escapade about a rather large family group comprised mostly of females. All getting to the age where their biological clock is ticking louder. But so far only two of the seven sisters have found Mr. Right. Aunt Bernie is working hard and doing her best as a matchmaker. That doesn’t seem to be so farfetched as a past bartender when she owned Bernie’s Bar in Spanish Fort. The family home for the mother and father of the seven is called Paradise which was originally a brothel in this exceedingly small town.
Full of funny sayings, true Carolyn Brown and how I fell in love with this author. Example don’t hold your breath - since - you don’t look good in that shade of blue. Watch out since you will definitely find yourself chuckling aloud. All families have internal issues. In this family they seem to advertise their strife. Luckily, there is an overload of folks with advice to parcel out. There doesn’t seem to be anything that can’t be solved with some Jameson or a bottle of beer.
My favorite series has always been the Honky Tonk Bars. After that I made it a practice to never miss anything penned by miss Carolyn Brown. SISTERS IN PARADISE is book number two in the series of the same name. Since there are seven sisters there is a great promise of many more stories to follow. Crisp dialog with endearing family relationships is the trademark of this wonderfully romantic author. Once again it was hard to find a favorite character amongst the fabulous cast. An entertaining mix of craziness, chaos, charm, and compassion - that’s what you will find in SISTERS IN PARADISE by the inimitable Carolyn Brown.

This story is about Ophelia and Tertia, who come back to Paradise. Their mother's wish has been that all seven of her daughters will move back home and live nearby. Their great aunt Bernie's has told them all that she is out to help their mother get her wish before she passes away, and she is determined to find each one of them the love that will keep them there. Ophelia and Tertia, are not going to fall in love, they are only going to look for a job, or so they think.
The girls are stubborn, like their mother and great aunt, and they will fight their feelings, which makes for a great read. It made me chuckle, at times it frustrated me, but it also showed me who they were when they came back to Paradise, to who they become after living there again. The journey is never smooth, but it is their journey, and they do ride it out to see what happens. Will it be the love of a man the love of a job that might keep them here, or will they move away again?
I received an ARC from Sourcebooks Casablanca through NetGalley.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Ophelia and her sister are back at home. Neither of them are looking for love, but their Aunt has other ideas. A quick enjoyable read.

My Thoughts
Spanish Fort Texas is a small town on the verge of extinction but for the Simmons sisters it has become a place they are returning back to one by one at long last.
Like their three other sisters before them the latest sisters of seven, Ophelia and Tertia, have come back to stay.
In book 1 we meet the first three sisters Endora, Luna and Ursula along with their parents Mom Mary Jane, Step-Dad Joe Clay and the irrepressible Aunt Bernie.
These characters prove that family ties do bind one to a place that as children all 7 sisters could not leave in their rearview fast enough.
Now if Bo and Rae find their way home to stay at the old home place The Paradise Mary Jane will get her fondest wish that all her children have returned to live their best life.

On every book read as soon as it is done and written up for review it is posted on Goodreads and Netgalley, once released then posted on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles as well.

another winner in this collection. I could not put it down. This was about Ophelia and Tertia and what a ride. Aunt Bernie was a lot more obnoxious in this book but I kept on reading. Can't wait for the next.

Sisters in Paradise continues Carolyn Brown’s stories about the seven sisters who were raised what used to be a brothel called Paradise in the very small town of Spanish Fort, Texas. This reviewer fell in love with Great Aunt Bernie in the first book Paradise for Christmas, and Bernie definitely has perfected her matchmaking skills to the extent that she even talks about starting a business. Sisters Ophelia, recently out of the Air Force and Tertia, desperately wanting a career change are her current priorities, but Bertie won’t rest until every sister has found her soulmate. This is a fun read filled with family, community, new beginnings, romance and some exciting surprises. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

This book was amazing all the twists and turns of love and life. It makes your heart happy. So glad it all worked out for the sisters. Luna and Shane's wedding sounds fabulous I wish there was pictures so I could see how pretty Luna was... Hope there's going to be more books in this series

It was fun catching up with Ophelia Simmons and her sisters as Ophelia and Tertia find their happily ever afters..
Naturally, Aunt Bertie and her sidekick Pepper claim victory as the two sisters meet their heroes.
I enjoyed the second book in the Paradise series and look forward to reading about the rest of the girls.
My thanks to #NetGalley and #Sourcebooks for allowing me to advance read Sisters In Paradise for a fair and honest review.

Carolyn Brown knows how to write a love story. I think I might have missed some earlier books in this series, there were back stories that I didn’t understand the sisters parts. I did get 4 weddings and a reception out of this story. Along with a tornado, a new store, winery and a cafe. I’d like to read the background of the other sister but it was a good book without the rest.

This is a book I wish I could travel back in time and make the ‘old me’ read this because of the tale and the message; plus it made my belly do the swoopy thing on account of how fluffy and romantic it was! Loved it.

If you're seeking a soothing read to unwind after a taxing day, "Sisters in Paradise" by Carolyn Brown fits the bill perfectly. It offers a delightful mix of elements that keep the story engaging without overwhelming your senses.
At its core, the novel revolves around a resilient mother and her equally strong-willed daughters, each with their own distinct personalities. The meddling but well-meaning Aunt Bernie adds a touch of comedy with her fervent matchmaking efforts, while the inclusion of pets adds an extra layer of charm to the narrative.
Set in the Paradise, the former brothel turned familial abode, the story follows the paths of sisters Ophelia and Tertia as they navigate love and career. Ophelia's summer job at a local winery brings her into contact with the ruggedly handsome Jake Brennan, leading to a clash of personalities that eventually sparks romantic chemistry. Meanwhile, Tertia finds herself torn between her head and her heart when Noah Sullivan, a figure from her past, offers her the job of her dreams in his new café.
Unlike some series that stretch out over numerous volumes, "Sisters in Paradise" offers a refreshing twist by focusing on the romantic journeys of two sisters within a single book, with tantalizing hints of future love stories to come.
Overall, "Sisters in Paradise" delivers a wholesome reading experience with well-developed characters and a compelling storyline. It's a clean and enjoyable read that promises to leave you satisfied. Thank you to #NetGalley for providing the ARC copy of this book.
