This is a good book. The two main characters are Jenni and Marco. Jenni is a mother and interior designer and home stager. Marco is co-owner in his family’s construction company. They meet at a realtor convention. They have a one night stand. Three months later they meet again when one of Marco’s sister-in-law ask Jenni to come by about having her stage some houses. They start dating. They have issues from ex boyfriend, ex boss and too busy lives. They work through all of it and fall in love.
Quick Summary: A ready made family romance
My Review: Renewed by Nikki Kiley is book #4 in the Chance Brothers series.
About the Book: When interior designer Jenni Samantha Russo decided to have a one night stand with contractor Marcos Chance, she never imagined that their paths would cross again so suddenly. The passion they shared for their work paled in comparison to the passion they felt for each other. Can they build something good together that will last, despite the challenges they face?
My Final Say: Jenni and Marcos were fortunate enough to find something special together. The way they supported each other was sweet. It was surprising to see how things fell into place for them, especially after the okey doke was pulled.

This book follows Jenni, a single mother focused on building her business while raising her daughter, Amelia. At a real estate convention, she meets Marcos and, under a false name, indulges in a passionate encounter with him, expecting never to see him again. However, fate has other plans as they meet again, their chemistry still intense. Both carrying baggage and trust issues, they navigate their careers and personal lives, finding solace and support in each other. Marcos's caring demeanor towards Jenni's daughter melts her heart, showcasing his compassionate nature. This book is filled with laughter, strong characters, intense chemistry, and heartwarming moments, making it a compelling read that evokes a range of emotions.
Another one of the Chance Brothers! I had read Levi’s story in Renovated and Jeremy’s story in Resolved, so I was already into the reality to show in this series.
And in this story it’s Marcos Chance, who meets a hot lady, Samantha, on a date. Imagine his surprise when his brother Levi and his sister-in-law introduce him to Jenni, the home interior designer they want to feature in their to show, looking exactly like the Samantha of his one night stand.
Talk about awkward. Jenni really doesn’t have time for a love life, so when she was coaxed into a hot date, she gave her second name, Samantha, as an alter ego. For one night, she wanted to be something else than the responsible single mom. And of course, that one little white lie results into an epic disaster, when Jenni gets an opportunity to work with the Chance family on their show.
Marco doesn’t trust Jenni. After all, why did she lie about who she is? But he can’t deny that she is very good at her job. while working together, Marco learns more about Jenni and he really-really starts to like her. But will she betray his trust or not?
A cute and fun read. You can read it as a standalone, but it is s000 much more fun if you read all of the series. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
This is Book 4 of the Chance Brothers series and my first by this author, but I had no trouble reading this as a standalone. The series is based on a TV home renovation show. Marcos is one of the Chance brothers and is a realtor. Jenni is a home stager and a single mom. Between her work and being a mom, she really has no time for romance. But when she met Marcos at a real estate convention a while back, they really clicked and they ended up having a very passionate one-night stand. She had given him a fake name and when she left the convention, she never expected to see him again. Then when she is hired as a stager for the home renovation show, she is shocked to be reunited once again with her unforgettable one-night stand, Marcos. The chemistry between them still sizzles as strong as ever, and there is no denying how attracted they are to each other. But they each have their own baggage and trust issues, which complicated things a bit.
The book is well-written and is in dual POV, which I really enjoyed. I like it when I can read the story from both perspectives. I also enjoyed the interactions between Marcos and Jenni's daughter. He was so sweet and patient with her! A lovely story with charming characters, I absolutely adored! Thank you to Netgalley for providing a complimentary copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Renewed, the fourth installment in the Chance Brothers series, brings readers into the bustling life of Jenni Russo, a mid-20s single mom with a thriving business and a heart that's been untouched by romance for far too long.
The story kicks off with a sizzling encounter between Jenni and Marcos Chance at a real estate convention, setting the stage for a rollercoaster of emotions and unexpected twists. Months later, their paths cross again in a professional setting, throwing them into a whirlwind of workplace antics and rekindled desires.
The author does a commendable job of portraying Jenni as a smart, independent woman who readers can't help but root for. The addition of Marcos, a sweet and supportive character with a dash of playfulness, creates a dynamic that keeps the pages turning. The exploration of Marcos's empathetic nature due to his childhood experiences adds depth to his character, making him more than just a typical love interest. The pacing of the plot accelerates towards the end, introducing a touch of drama that spices things up.
One of the strengths of the novel lies in its well-developed supporting cast, many of whom have made appearances in previous books of the series. Revisiting these characters adds a delightful layer of familiarity for readers who have followed the Chance Brothers saga from the beginning.
Renewed is a highly enjoyable read, although part of a series, it functions well as a standalone, making it accessible to new readers. With its blend of second chances, workplace dynamics, and steamy romance, this Chance Brothers novel is a delightful addition to the contemporary romance genre.
Renewed by Nikki Kiley is a book in the Chance Brother’s series. It read well as a stand alone. My favorite part of the book was the comradery between the brothers.
Jenni is a single mom and home stager. She has a one night stand with someone she thinks she will never see again. Her ex boyfriend shows up and has decided he wants to be a part of their daughter’s life.
Marcos is a realtor and involved with his brothers in the Home Design TV show. He and Jenni work together on one of his houses.
I am not sure why but I had trouble getting into this story. But if you enjoy home improvement shows you might enjoy this steamy romance.
Jenni and Marcos were perfect for each other. They were both career-oriented and had slightly tragic pasts that made them appreciate honesty and loyalty. I loved that Marcos didn't treat her any differently because she was a single mom. He understood that she was a packaged deal and made sure to treat her daughter with kindness and compassion. His relationship with his brothers was a riot, and I look forward to reading about the last two bachelors finding their HEAs.
I waffled between giving this 3 and 4 stars because of the way the characters spoke. They sounded more like people in their 40s and 50s than 20 year-olds, and it took me away from the story a bit. In the end, I chalked that up to personal preference and went with 4 stars. Renewed has engaging characters, a fun storyline, and just enough intrigue to please people who like a little drama with their romances.
Thank you, Nikki Kiley and NetGalley, for the opportunity to read this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I enjoyed Renewed by Nikki Kiley and the chemistry between the characters was enticing - although I did feel this took a little while to warm up, despite their instant connection.
The characters all felt fleshed out and I could follow the story easily even though I hadn't read any of the other books in the series.
The only reason I couldn't rate the book higher than 3 stars is more about personal taste. The dialogue, in my opinion, felt oddly formal at times, which took me out of the moment. I think it may be down to word choice and what I felt the character would have said instead of what was written.
That being said, I did enjoy the book and enjoyed the tropes used.
Book 4 in this series, which can be enjoyed as a standalone, sees Jenni and Marco’s hooking up at a realtor conference and then reuniting several months later when she is invited to participate in the Home Design TV show that the Chance brothers are involved with. As a single mum, Jenni has concerns and issues with her ex, difficulties initiated by a former employer and time constraints on juggling work, motherhood and relationships but Marco is supportive and understanding and I really enjoyed their blossoming romance. At times it felt a little rushed/unfinished (the ex boss and what happened with Warren) but otherwise was an enjoyable romance.
Part of the Chance Bros series. Has Marcos met an attractive woman at a realtor's convention? After spending a night together Samantha who is really her middle name leaves being a single mom not expecting to see him again. Now three months later she is introduced to him along with others as she is looked at being added to their home improvement show. Now going by Jenni she explains to Marco about having a daughter. Dealing with this is okay but now the man who wanted nothing to do with her when she was pregnant wants a relationship with the daughter after five years of nothing. There are parts of this story I liked but there are other parts I did not. I also felt this book was rushed or just felt different compared to the other books I have read. Characters are good.
Single mom Jenni decides to let her hair down for an evening and have some fun as 'Samantha'. She's instantly attracted to Marcos and they end up spending an night together.
Marcos and his brothers are all involved in a highly successful home renovation television show and after Jenni has come clean she works with the family to stage homes and ensure they return the big bucks.
Her previous boss is lurking in the shadows trying to make Jenni's life hell, but Marcus and his family are there to support her.
The story ends with a satisfactory HEA.
Renewed was my first experience reading this author’s work and even though I hadn’t read the previous books in this series, I was able to navigate through it even though I wasn’t acquainted with the Chance family siblings. I’m sure if I had read the previous books I would have enjoyed this read even more, but that said, it was quite the enjoyable read. The whole story line revolves around a home renovation television show which I found to be quite interesting. Marcos and his entire family are involved in real estate and Jenni is a home stager so it came together nicely. Amelia is a cutie and I think children always add to the enjoyment of the family dynamic in these types of books. I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.
Marcos and Jenni started out their relationship on fire, and the flames didn't burn out. I enjoyed their journey and story. Getting cameos of the other Chance romances is always fun. I always enjoy watching staging on renovation shows. It was pretty interesting to read a little about it.
A big thank you to NetGalley for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the fourth in a series, and it reads well as a stand alone. I have not read all of the others and was fine. I enjoyed the book. The characters are interesting and the Chance family is amazing. Jenni is a home stager-had no idea that this was even a job. Marcos has several jobs in the family. Jenni is a single mom which can make dating difficult. I didn't understand the introduction and inclusion of Warren-it seemed unnecessary and didn't really add to the story. Just my opinion though. 3.5 stars A good solid fun read.
i really enjoyed Renewed by Nikki Kiley. This book follows the first meeting through their HEA. I especially liked that we got a second epilogue so we could really see where the couple ended up. Well done. Thanks NetGalley for an advanced copy!
I really enjoyed this book, can't wait to read more by this authorcin the future. They have a great writing style that keeps you hooked till the end of the book.
Sexy and romantic, this was a lovely read. Some nasty machinations from a vicious ex colleague, and a persistent ex push the tale on at a good clip. The romance is cute and the couple find their feet in their relationship fast, both are grounded with a great family and a life they love. The unpleasant undercurrent pulls the story to a height which is then unpicked rapidly. A HEA epilogue is always a winner.
