Thank you Entangled for giving me an eARC. As always, your generosity knows no bounds and your authors are freakin wonders.

So this is a part of interconnected stand-alones but I honestly do think you should read the others in the series. I went in not knowing ANYTHING except this is the last of the series and I find out the main character is in jail lol.

But like with most interconnected standalones, I caught on to everything quickly and it was fine so there’s that.

When an undercover cop falls in love with the niece of a mobster, everything is stacked against them finding their happily ever after in this romantic suspense from Tee O'Fallon.

O'Fallon's romantic suspense keeps the pages turning as Jimmy/Jamie has to figure out what he will do in order to both fulfill the FBI's requirements and try to keep Bella safe. Bella has lived with abuse for so long and now looks to lose the only family and safety she has. And of course, there are some great dogs in this book - both Jamie's K-9, Jax, and Bella's rescue puppy. Jax's instincts for people are the best!

(Although this is the last in a romance series, I was not at all lost having not read any of the others but plan to do so because I enjoyed this one so much.)

Thank you to Entangled and Netgalley for my eARC.

I loved the premise of Above 'N' Beyond, it sounded like something right up my alley that I'd very much enjoy reading but sadly that wasn't the case. This book did not work for me for a number of reasons. I didn't like the way explanations were added after things that were self explanatory. It wasn't done all the the time but enough times that it was noticeable. The portrayal of law enforcement wasn't true to life or even a semblance of it. It just felt amateurish. Their decisions and actions didn't make sense for someone in that line of work. The mafia aspect of it also seemed off. The characters were ok for me. I tried to make it to the end because I was interested in seeing how it all ended but I DNFed at 40%.

This really does go above and beyond what you expect of a five-star read. This is the seventh and final Federal K-9 series, and that makes me super sad, but do you know what they have gone out with more love in my heart than I thought possible, they can all be read as stand alone, and you will get your firm faves, mine are definitely Armed N Ready as well as Serve N Protect, but Above and Beyond is a winner as well, Jax just won my heart over as much as my own white German Shepard and he kinda reminds me of a dog we see in the park that my little furball has eyes for, he makes me think of Jax in a couple of years when he’s ready to retire with a little friend who ain’t so little maybe and just have some fun, as well as being a great dog. Bella has it tough, family are the people we are stuck with, the ones we can’t choose, or can we. I don’t think I would be strong enough to walk away, dreams are hard to give up, and sometimes you need the right persuasion. Jamie, was so beautifully written he really does win you over, and you know you would have to forgive him, as his heart was in the right place, the only question is will Bella? You need to check this story out to find out. Its so good, the whole series is, so if you haven’t already pick them up and get you some good dog loving.

Above 'n' Beyond is the last book in the Federal K-9 series, but the suspense plot and romance stands completely on its own. I thoroughly enjoyed the fast-paced action and sweet yet steamy encounters between Jamie and Bella and completely adored the two canine stars Jax and Gnocchi. There's plenty of suspense and a well-deserved HEA that brings together all the couples and their K9s in a befitting series epilogue.

If you're dog lover you're gonna love this book. Jamie and his dog are undercover working a deal with the FBI to get his father out of prison. He's prepared himself as much as he can. What isn't prepared for is Bella. Can he pull of his job without shattering her world?

I started reading Tee's books because of the dogs but let me tell you, these books are page turners. You'll be staying up late just to finish it...It's that good.
Above "N" Beyond is action packed, the chemistry between Jamie and Bella is fire and Jamie's dog, Jax, is the absolute best. It was an amazingly written book to end this series with.
Even though this is a stand alone I highly recommend the whole series.

Thank you to Tee O"Fallen, Entangled Publishing, LLC, and Netgalley for this ARC.

This is an awesome conclusion to the K-9 series. I loved Jamie and Bella' story. All the characters were well developed, and the plot flowed smoothly and quickly from scene to scene. The story had it all - action, suspense, and of course romance. Loved the introduction of little Gnocchi. This book is the last in a series, but could easily be read as a stand alone. Highly recommend.

As soon as I saw the book synopsis, I knew this would be a book I binge in a day. And I was right! I absolutely adore the premise of an undercover cop and a mafia-by-blood heroine who wants nothing to do with crime. Plus, there is a cute dog on the cover, and he is just as adorable in the book. Makes me want to go adopt a German Shepherd, even though I am nowhere near equipped to handle a dog like that. The plot also contains workplace romance, with the hero working for the heroine as a bartender who also happens to know how to make latte foam art. Be still my heart! Couple that cuteness with the shadowy undertones of mafia activity taking place in our heroine's restaurant, and you have a roller coaster of a romance that will latch on and not let go until it's over.

K-9 Sergeant Jamie Pataglio is on a mission - do an undercover job exposing the mafia dealings of Paula Mancuso, and if successful in gathering evidence, his father will be ensured parole. Knowing it's a life or death situation for his father makes Jamie's job easier...until he meets the niece of his target, Bella Bianco. All Bella wants is to own her restaurant outright, so she can get far away from her aunt and her shady mafia dealings. Finding out Paula is using the restaurant for a money laundering scheme is her last straw, but what can she do when it means betraying not just her family but losing her beloved business? Not to mention she's now developed feelings for a mobster, which she swore she would never do. But her cousin's newest enforcer is kind, generous and looks out for her, and she is having a hard time resisting. She knows she can't really trust him, and Jamie knows she shouldn't trust him at all with her business given the task at hand, but soon they're unable to resist the passion between them. And now they both have a similar goal, which will either lead to Paula behind bars or both of them dead.

This couple was so perfect for each other, almost too perfect for words. You can never go wrong with a hero who loves dogs, and just the fact that he owned such a lovable and protective dog like Jax made me weak in the knees. Apparently it made Bella feel the same way, especially after she got a pooch of her own, which Jamie took care of above and beyond the call of duty. I loved Bella's character - she had such a strong backbone, standing up for herself in the face of such scary people like the ones in her family. She had lived with them for so long, seen what damage they could do, but she still stood toe to toe to ensure she was heard. It may not have worked in getting what she wanted, but oh, I was rooting for her so much. She was not going down without a fight, even through to the end. Jamie was so protective, and what I loved most about this couple was that he was not overly protective and she knew when to let him take the lead. There were not TSTL moments, where I wanted to shake one or the other. It was all so genuine and realistic, and it showed how much faith they had in each other. The ending made me want to cry happy tears, so keep a box of tissues handy. You'll need them.

I always enjoy books by this author, and this one is no exception. As always check for triggers given the mafia content, but if no concerns there, I think you all will love this.

Oh, wow. This is an explosive and excellent end to the series. Jamie is in a bind. Or, someone he loves is, so he’s put it all on the line for them. Yet even with the danger he’s plopped himself in the middle of for that love, he can’t help but wonder if there’s more to one member of the target family than meets the eye. And the more time he spends with Bella, the more he knows exactly how stuck she is.

As for Bella, she’s been trying to break free. But promises are constantly broken, abuse of her hospitality and her livelihood are the norm, and she is finally seeing just how extreme her measures will need to be if she’s ever going to extricate herself from this mess. People who should love don’t, people who should be honest aren’t, and she’s stuck in the middle of it all.

Bella and Jamie may have a lot to work through, but the twists they’re forced to endure just for the possibility of a lasting love just might not be what breaks them apart. As long as secrets can be forgiven and a good enough grovel exists, anyway. And believe me, there’s a good grovel to be had.

Above ‘N’ Beyond, the latest book in Tee O’Fallon’s Federal K-9 series went above and beyond my expectations! I loved the main characters Jamie and Bella, but I think the dogs - K-9 Jax and pup Gnocchi - stole the show. This one is for people who like a little bit of angst before getting to the happily ever after.

K-9 Sergeant Jamie Pataglio goes undercover in Bella Bianco’s restaurant to infiltrate the Mancuso crime family. Instead, he becomes enamored with Bella, niece of the infamous “Godmother”, Paola Mancuso. Boy, do the sparks fly! Trying to keep his cover, problems with his FBI handler, and a jealous enforcer for the Mancuso family who also wants Bella make it a challenging, action-packed assignment for Jamie. Cameos from other couples in the Federal K-9 series round it all out. If you like romantic suspense, I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. Note: Above ‘N’ Beyond can be read as a standalone, but why not read them all?

Above 'N' Beyond (Federal K-9, #7) by Tee O'Fallon
I have really enjoyed this K-9 series and am sorry to see it end. K-9 Sergeant Jamie Pataglio and Bella Bianco Italian bistro owner are perfect together except for the fact that he is working undercover to take down the Mancusco crime family. They were Bella's violent family that uses her restaurant as its criminal home base. There is violence, deception, angst, some humor, tears, an adorable puppy and K-9, wonderful friends, family, co-workers, and very bad mob guys, self-doubts, romance and plenty of steam to get us to a very HEA.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Happily Ever After Unpredictable Entertaining Witty Steamy Informative Tragic Scary Romantic Wonderful characters Easy-to-read Page-turner Tear-jerker Great world building Action-packed.

An engaging couple. The dogs are wonderful, as usual. I haven't read all in this series, but thoroughly enjoyed the ones I have. A definite page turner. I was eager for their happily ever after which had many challenges. I did skip over the intimate scenes. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

I enjoy a good romantic suspense novel, so when I saw this book I jumped to request it. Above 'n' Beyond follows Port Authority K-9 sergeant Jamie Pataglio and his K-9 partner, Jax, as they go undercover to take down the Mancuso crime family. What Jaime didn't count on was The Godmother's niece, Bella Bianco, co-owner of Bianco Bistro. He needs to complete this assignment to get cancer treatment for his father, but he's not sure if he'll get out alive or with his heart intact.

This book was a lot of fast-paced fun. I enjoyed Jax a lot, and really liked Bella and Jamie's relationship. The book is shorter and packed full of action, so I was never bored. I also loved the inclusion of LBGT representation. Jamie and Bella were well-flushed out, and I liked both of them individually. The spice was also well-written.

The only thing I wish there was more of was research. I have a background in both banking and volunteering with law enforcement, so some of the characters' actions took me out of the story a little.

All in all, if you're looking for some fun, spicy action and you enjoy the romantic suspense genre, you'll enjoy Above 'n' Beyond by Tee O'Fallon.

Above N Beyond is a captivating novel that offers a perfect blend of adorable K-9s, intriguing characters, and an enticing mix of sensuality and suspense. From the very beginning, I found myself deeply engrossed in the lives of the characters, eagerly rooting for their happily-ever-after ending. The book had me hooked, eagerly flipping through the pages to uncover what awaited them in the next chapter.

Jamie is undercover in a maximum security prison. The K-9 Sergeant has to get in good with the Mancusco crime family. He's in for six months and hoping to become a part of the crime family. He saves the "capo" from getting shanked in prison When he gets out he goes to a little bistro owned by the "Godmother" Paola and her niece, Bella.
Bella co-owns Bianco’s Bistro with her aunt Paola. It was her pride and joy but her aunt uses it to run her criminal activities out of. She wants out but she doesn't want to give up her dream and her aunt won't sell her portion to her.
Bella doesn't want anything to do with anyone from her aunt's crew but there is something about Jamie. Her cousin gets her to rent her bottom apartment out to Jamie and he helps her at the Bistro. They don't trust each other but in order to free herself and Jamie to take down the family, they have to trust each other.

Excellent story. Last one in this series and I believe the best. A very smart K-9. Bella has trust issues and Jamie believes he is a bad person. Action. Edge of your seat story. I teared up. Sex. I will miss this series 😞.

Normally, I'm not a fan of mafia stories, but this is done so well that I ended up reading it all in one day. The characters encourage you to find out what happens next. Jamie/Jimmy strikes a deal with the Feds to go undercover in exchange for getting his father, who is battling cancer, out of prison. Bella is trying to buy out her Aunt Paola's share of the restaurant as she knows her aunt is using it to launder money. Bella has been on the fringe of the mafia life since a child, but wants totally out. Bella doesn't trust easily, but Jamie manages to slowly form a relationship with her. His dog Jax helps along with the dog she rescues and names Gnocchi. Things get complicated and dangerous quickly. Family is important to each of them in their own way. Decisions have to be made as to what they will and will not sacrifice for the sake of family as well as what is the definition of family. Characters from previous stories show up towards the end, but this can be read as a standalone.

Bella & Jax definitely captured my attention. Both had strength & venerability that pulled at my heart. You have to give claps to their amazing dogs that often played important roles. Tension builds page after page while chemistry sizzles. An entertainer for sure. “I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”

This was a very enjoyable read! I'd forgotten how much I like the undercover cop infiltrates the mafia and falls in love trope and this book did it very well.

The dogs stole the show, as they should. Their humans were interesting and likeable characters and I got caught up in their romance and all the surrounding drama.

While this is the last book in the series, I had no trouble following along even though I'd only read (and enjoyed) one other book. And this is a reminder to read the rest.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Entangled Publishing through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you, Entangled Publishing!

Amazing book! Couldn’t put it down! Bella & Jamie were fighting to deny their obvious connection, but obviously they didn’t need to since they were on the same side. In awe of what Jamie would do for those he loved. Crazy take down, kept me on the edge of my seat.
