✨ Military Romance
✨ Grumpy/ Sunshine

✨ Such a fan of military romance and this one have lots of emotional yet great things happen. Ex seal, Sean, has a a lot to take on. So is Julia, with no permanent address ,lots of losses and felt like there relationship won’t work at some point.
Nevertheless to say , this can be a standalone but look out for a series that actually may sense with the other once.

✨ the book ended up with HEA even with there lots of ups and down to this story, afterwards it feels so rewarding and fresh

✨ Thankyou relay publishing for a arc copy of this book for a honest review

This was a great book.

I thought that the author did a fantastic job on it, it has a great storyline and the characters were very entertaining and I really enjoyed reading about them and getting to know them.

This is definitely a book I recommend giving it a read.

8.5/10

The ending to the series has now Julia needing protection from the man who is after her nice nephew who also happens to be their father and a criminal. Set in Sean another former Seal who is asked to protect them and he does. A story that has two people keeping themselves locked up only to struggle with each other and feelings and emotions that both were not expecting. A good book for the end.

This is the 3rd and final book in the “SEAL Protector Series”. I so love reading about the men and women in the armed forces. I especially enjoy reading about Navy SEALs. Sean is a sexy alpha former Navy SEAL, and he is staying at his cabin since his brother died in a Navy SEAL training event that he is blaming himself for. Julia is on the run with her niece Lucy and nephew Amos, and she is convinced that her deceased sister’s husband Wilson murder her sister. Wilson is a director at a museum, and he is importing drugs. Julia was informed to get in contact with Sean if she needed help. Sean is dealing with demons of his own. Sean and Julia make contact and she and the children arrive at his cabin for their safety. Soon Sean learns that Julia, the children and himself location has been found out. So, Sean is off to his family ranch which he has not been to in some time. Being reunited with his family was a thing for Sean and it was what he needed. Sean’s family welcomes him with opened arms and they like Julia, Lucy and Amos. Wilson is constantly sending Juila threatening text messages about returning his children or she will be sorry. Sean is reluctant to open up about his feelings for Julia but when he does things are great. Sean is protective of Julia and the children, and he is there for them keeping them safe from Wilson. This is a great read that I enjoyed reading, loved the characters, drama, mystery, mayhem, pager turner, action packed, suspense and how Sean is forgiving and not blaming his self for what happened to his brother, the plot definitely held me captive.

Can’t wait to see what Katie Knight has next for her readers.

I received an ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

I love a good alpha hero romance. Sean was a tough ex military man with a teddy bear heart. Living a life of solitude was his plan. Having Julia and her niece and nephew to protect threw a wrench in that. I loved everything about this book. Sean brought Julia and the kids to his childhood ranch to protect them. With that he reconnected with his family and healed old wounds. Great read! Thank you to NetGalley for this free advanced copy. I’m voluntarily leaving this review.

I enjoyed this book so much. It was nice to slow down and read a book that wasn't filled with so much world building. I love military and romance books, this book was a great combination of both. The characters were written beautifully and story flowed perfectly. The author did great with this book and I can't to read more from her.

Julia is on the run, from her brother-in-law, with her niece and nephew. She is trying to protect the kids from the bad things there father is involved in. It comes to a point where she can't hide on her own anymore and needs help. Julia's two best friends put her in contact with a ex Navy Seal, Sean, who is able to protect her and the kids. Sean and Julia grow closer, with passion neither have ever felt before. Sean believes love equals pain, but what if it's worth it...

Definitely read if you'd like a slowed down pace that's still filled with romance, spice, and some action. The characters so go through grief and sibling loss.

I am not going to admit I was positive this story wasn't going to more than a quick read and easy review. To my surprise I really enjoyed the characters their passion. The author was able to pull together a well-rounded romantic suspense that readers will enjoy.

The author gave readers someone they could connect with and characters to hate or dislike.

Julia is on the run with her niece and nephew from their criminal father who is obsessed with getting them back. Her friends who are involved with S.E.A.L husbands recommend reaching out to another former S.E.A.L for protection and help.

Sean is introverted, has a large family he needs to reconnect and grow with, and is great with the kids. I was swooning from start to end with this book. The constant threat of the criminal father kept you on edge while the entire family grew together and figured out their place in the world. I really enjoyed how Sean and julias romance progressed because of his introverted nature and how he had had to figure out how he was feeling and how to express emotions that felt foreign to him. The love he shows for the kids though seemed to come so naturally and it was just adorable.

A great suspenseful romance with Sean and Julia. He has the character development, she's just trying to protect her niece and nephew and mourn her lost sister. There's found family (Sean's family is huge), comings and goings, a suitably evil villain and a swoony HEA.

This stuff is hard to pace, and hard to keep the balance between the romance and the drama. Katie does a great job with both. I'll be looking for her other works

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Ain't gonna lie. Military romance is one of my guilty pleasures. Especially the steamy kind with broken heroes.
And this one seemed just perfect!
Did it live up to expectations?
Yes and no.

It does tick all the boxes for the perfect military romance:

- A strong and protective MC.
The ex navy seal with a crushing guilt complex is just about the perfect man of few words and decisive action.

- A smart and brave FMC who risks everything to protect her sister's children,

- and a hell lot of hurt and insecurity between them.

- Two absolutely adorable kids you just want to hug

- a wonderful family and a ranch I'd drop everything to go and live on.

Then why did it not meet those expectations?!

Because the plot seemed to take a back step in favour of the relationship between the MCs and despite the beautiful HEA, more than a few things were left hanging, as if forgotten, while others were wrapped up too swiftly, without proper insight into character reasoning and motives.

Even though I loved the tenderness between the MCs, the relationship between them didn't really work for me. The chemistry was lacking, just as the tension. And I really wasn't a fan of the particular bit of drama towards the end.

And last, but not least, the promised sizzling part ended up being fizzling instead.

All in all, this was an ok read that can be also read as a standalone, despite being the conclusion of a series.

Julie has to trust Sean or else risk her life and her niece and nephews lives. It's when she starts to choose to trust not being forced that the book takes a turn into romantic. She's also very fortunate that the children are well behaved. Her job of keeping them safe could have been much harder. I really like this series and the way that they wrapped up the series.

The first book I read by the author and the series and it can be easily read independently.

I started this book with a LOT of enthusiasm and I think maybe it worked against me a little because I got carried away by my emotion. As soon as I read the notification that I had been accepted to receive the advanced issue, I downloaded it.

And as I read it, it stopped convincing me so much. But I'm going to explain why.
Everything seemed TOO dramatic and sometimes rushed. In the first chapters EVERYTHING happens to the children. Everything that could go wrong, does. It seemed like a lot to me. And already within the first 3 days that they meet, our protagonists kiss each other. Okay, it's not for me. Insta-love is not for me (that's why I'm not going to tell you that it's a bad novel because it's not). Afterwards I began to feel like it was difficult to move forward, that we weren't getting anywhere, and I read it more and more slowly.

The novel is told from Julia and Sean's point of view, which I liked and added a different (and quite popular) touch to the story. It reads super easy, fast and the story progresses well, but I think I was looking for something different when reading the synopsis.

Thank you Relay Publishing for the ARC I read on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

After her sister has been killed and her husband’s drug running exploits are discovered, Julia goes on the run with Lucy and Amos her niece and nephew to protect them from their dad who wants to empty their trust fund money, any means he can. After turning to the ex navy seal Sean for protection they all go and hideout at his family’s ranch, a place he hasn’t visited since the death of his brother. Feelings and regrets are thrown into the mix. Well written novel.

Action, betrayal, lies, and family drama from all directions make this a fast moving read with the gamut of emotions. Overcoming guilt of the past, reconciling differences, and coming to terms with what is important. Of course a slow burn along the way. Good vacation read.
