This book was fantastic! I absolutely loved the flow of the storyline and really enjoyed the pace. It brings a new twist to an old school vampire tale.

I absolutely loved this book. I’m a huge fan of the Twilight books and I definitely see the similarities. This book brought us everything that those books were missing. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

I read this book and didn’t expect much because the title kind of threw me off because it was a little bit corny! I was so pleasantly surprised how much I actually enjoyed it!

This was so cute and I can’t wait to read the next one!

I absolutely loved this book! Characters are well written and the world building is just enough. It’s perfect. The plot will suck you in from the very beginning. I couldn’t put this down! One of my fave reads this year and I can’t wait to see it sitting on my shelf! Must read!

This one gave me enough intrigue that I felt thrown back to my Twilight days. Like the broodiness of the MMC vampire and the naiveté of the FMC virgin. It’s a billionaire vampire romance, mixed with fake dating which was really prominent in the first half of the book. It also managed to be spicy and sensual without them ever actually taking her virginity (this is a very important plot point). It did also have what I considered insta love, which is not my favorite trope as I like to see a build up and blossoming of a connection, but with the fated mates trope it also makes sense.
The second half diverted from that and seemed to start setting the stage for what I assume is going to be a series based on how this one ended on SUCH a cliffhanger. We move away from fake dating, and into the politics of a budding war in the vampire world (and I guess witches too since they’re paired).

Thank you Entangled Publishing for the copy of this one!

Filthy Rich Vampire was such an enjoyable read. I loved it. It was sexy, steamy and sensual. There was action, suspense, intrigue, politics, and so much more. One thousand-year-old vampire meets a twenty-two-year-old classical musician and is drawn to her immediately. Thus begins the constant push/pull throughout the entire story.

I can understand why so many people have enjoyed the story! Bummed there was no actual sex between the couple here, but hinting at greater intimacy in the next book. Although he does have sex with another woman in the beginning when he first wakes up with a giant boner. A gift from his brother, how sweet. I'm gutted that I did not enjoy this much.
And I had to skim a few pages just to get to a point where I'd get hooked, and I didn't.
Overall, this wasn't my favorite, but other people will likely enjoy this book. The characters just didn't hook me and i was just waiting for that to happen.

Quick Summary: A magical mix of dark goodness

My Review: Filthy Rich Vampire by Geneva Lee is book one in the Filthy Rich Vampires series. It is the beginning of Thea and Julian's story.

About the Book: A vampire noble meets a seemingly non magical human. They are ravenous for each other. Secrets of old are at play, as the two lovers embark on a romance that is not meant to be. And yet, it is.

My Final Say: I am utterly and completely enthralled by this story. The mic dropped on this one, and I am doing all I can to pick it up. Where is the book bundle?!?! Why am I just learning about this series? I'm so hooked!!!

Other: This reminded me of A Discovery of Witches, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and Dracula: The TV series all rolled into one.

Holy smokes! That was a sexy treat. Not the spiciest vampire fake dating I've read but it hit the spot left by the end of my Halloween reads. Julian and Thea's romance was befitting such plot contrivance and characterizations. I was initially put off by the cliffhanger, but its been awhile since I've been this invested in a cliffhanger. Definitely need the sequel asap.

Oops, can’t believe I didn’t post a review on NetGalley. I’ve posted everywhere else. I loved this fantastic story. After reading it, I immediately downloaded book 2 in the series. Loved the characters and the plot. 5 star read for me!!!

I gave this 4 stars. I will continue the series at some point. I thought the romance in this book was really cute. I found it to be a common plot in most vampire books. Vampire who is super old meets young modern girl and falls for her. It's a classic plot, i mean hello we've read twilight. I did like some of the spicy scenes in the book, I didn't care for in the beginning, the gift he gets from his brother. However I do like going back to these classic plots like this they are comforting for me.

Let’s chat about “Filthy Rich Vampire” by Geneva Lee.

Meet Thea, our cello-playing 22 year old virgin, who’s juggling bills and ballads. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she meets Julian Rousseaux, a wealthy vampire from a powerful family, just as he is reluctantly entering a social season to find a bride.

Julian’s bright idea?? A fake relationship to lighten her financial load and help with her mom’s medical expenses and in return he can escape his obligations. As they waltz into the vampy world of nightwalkers and spell-casters, their bond grows, bending societal rules and family expectations.

Thea has an outspoken nature and is full of determination. She doesn’t succumb to external pressures, even from Julian’s formidable mother. Julian, meanwhile, is caught in a tug-of-war between his heart and his fangs, struggling to keep Thea safe from his shadowy world.

It’s a breath of fresh air to see Thea pragmatically accept help without the usual ‘too proud to take the money’ dance, a trope often overplayed in romance novels.

Now, let’s talk steaminess – or the lack thereof. The sizzle in this story teases more than it delivers, fading to black faster than a vampire in a photo booth. I mean, the spice is there… but would I say “filthy”? No…

And the ending – it’s like being left on the dance floor, mid-song. Frustrating? Absolutely. It may or may not had me yelling at the book, but it’s also the kind that keeps me coming back for more.

Bottom line: if you’re in for a tale that mixes a little moonlight, music, and mystery, - especially if you don’t mind a bit of a tease and a ‘to be continued’ sign flashing at the end - this book’s definitely worth sinking your teeth into.

3.5 ⭐️

I loved the cover and found the title intriguing but I honestly went into this one blind.
There was a lack of world building, unfortunately so it took me a bit to actually get into the story.
I enjoyed Julian and his struggle coming to terms with the 21st century and technology advances. I loved Julian and Thea’s dynamic and chemistry as well. I wish with all that our fmc has been through, she wouldn’t have been portrayed as so juvenile but she was loyal and fierce.

It ends on a cliffhanger but I honestly didn’t mind. It was a fun read and I will definitely pick up the next book!

The book was written pretty simply and the plots were hard to follow at times. I was expecting more of a fantasy romance, but this reads like a romance novel. I wish the characters were more complex but overall, if you’re in the market for a vampire romance, this is for you! I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley (thank you!!) & all thoughts are my own.

Thank you to Brittany with Entangled and Netgalley for the eARC!

This was like Bridgerton meets vampires and I found the characters juvenile and lacking sense. Julian was condescending and overbearing. Thea just goes along with the fact that surprise there’s vampires and witches and being called pet like no big deal. Her two best friends/roommates are left in the dust as she’s swept off to Paris. The cliffhanger was brutal. I don’t know if I’ll do book 2. Maybe out of sick curiosity and because I enjoyed the narrators in the audiobook.

Seriously, I didn’t think I would love this as much as I did. I don’t think it typically is something I’d read but it intrigued me so I knew I had to try it out.

Was it probably too much spice for my taste? Yes… but I have to say it was so well done. It didn’t come off as cringy but totally realistic.

Will I be reading the rest of the series?
Yes probably! Especially because it left off on a cliffhanger that I’m still thinking about. 🤯
They’re also on KU, which I love!

Filthy Rich Vampire is a great book about a young cellist struggling to get through school and work multiple jobs to pay for school and medical debt. At a high class event in a quartet she meets the Mysterious filthy rich Julien and is thrown into the Vampire elite social world.

The writing is well done and the character development hooks you. There's comedy, spice, and heartbreak. I cannot wait to read the next book!

There are a few common lore and characteristics of vampires that are not touched on and I wish the author explained their vampire's strengths and weakness more. Hopefully in the next book.

I highly recommend this book!

I usually try to stay clear away from any type of paranormal stories about vampire or werewolves, but this one I really liked this one. Thea is a firecracker to Julian's somberness. The books in the series that I have read so far has always left me waiting for the next one. A great read for a person looking for their next paranormal romance book. I received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
