Vampires and humans falling in love ?
When Julian and Thea meet at a party they make a simple arrangement or so Thea thought. Julian is rebelling against the fact that he is suppose to get married this season so he tells Thea he will pay off her debits if she will pretend to be his girlfriend for a year.
But suddenly Thea is thrown into a world of nothing she’s ever known before.
This is a fake dating, slow burning, billionaire forbidden romance with so much family drama and ends with a cliff hanger I loved it. Just finished now on to book 2.
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them Thank you netgalley

I have followed Geneva Lee since her Vella days and had the privilege to ARC read for her back then and am honored to get to now.

Filthy Rich Vampires is a refreshing take on vampires throwing us into a modern setting with an old blood twist. The social season is about to begin and if Bridgerton has taught me anything, it would be a social faux pas to miss.

Thea is living the dream many of us wished for as poor starving artist college kids and finds herself thrown into the dangerous world of vampires with one of the most sought after, richest eligible vampire bachelors. The fake dating turns into tension as feelings rise, but the drama in the vampire world ramps up instantly and puts Thea’s life in danger.

With a love of reality tv, Kdramas, and general messy behavior, this book was addicting and the cliffhanger hooked me to return.

I thought this was such a romantic paranormal romance. It was so sweet to see everything develop and yet it was full of angst too and suspense. loved.

Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ (4/5)

I was instantly hooked with this story as it was such a page turner with all the sexual tension and intrigue surrounding Julian who is a vampire. I love how it took a historical meets contemporary approach as there aren't many books out there that do that.

I was on the fence about whether to give a 4 or 4.5, but ultimately I decided to go with a 4. Even though the book was really engaging and I kept wanting to find out what happens next, I felt there was something missing that would've really took the book to the next level. Such as character development and other events in the plot that weren't just the two main characters in the room.

Also, a lot of things regarding Julian weren't disclosed which probably helped add to his intrigue, but it just made it harder to understand some of the decisions he makes. I also would've liked more development in the secondary characters and the plot since they only make very brief appearances. I have a feeling that's why there are more books in this series to really add to the conflict which makes a story more engaging, but that seems to have made the first book more of an intro book to the conflict.

I wanted to love this so bad! Unfortunately, i really didn’t. There was so much promise with it being an urban vampire romance, but i felt that it just fell flat. Also, the second half of this book feels like it was written by another person. What happened?
I struggled to finish this book.

This book is that rare blend of spice, vampires, a fantastic story, and settings that make it all seem like a modern-day Cinderella if the Prince had fangs of course.

I've read so many vampire books, that I didn't think I'd find anything that was original or surprising, or that didn't feel like something I'd ever read, I was so wrong, this book made me laugh, cry, hold my breath, scream in frustration and hope against all hopes that it would end the way I wanted it to.

Julien and Thea couldn't be more different, Thea is a cellist who wouldn't have any luck if it wasn't bad luck, Julien is a Vampire who's been summoned by the most terrifying creature in the world, his mother.

To say the moment these two meet is explosive would be an understatement, from glances across ballrooms to private flights to Paris, and finally finding a way to make it all make sense this book is everything I wanted but didn't know I needed.

If you're looking for a spicy, vampy, romance that starts with the definition of kismet and takes you through every phase imaginable, (seriously there's an opium den) this is the book for you.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for providing an advance copy of this E-Book, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Filthy Rich Vampire was exactly what I expected. A quick, romantic read centered around a human girl and a vampire love interest who happens to be filthy rich.

One fateful night, Thea, a struggling musician/student, discovers that not only do vampires exist, but she must rely on one to ensure her safety. Julian, a vampire just awoken from a decades long slumber, finds himself forced back into society to finally make a match and marry. With Julian opposed to marriage and Thea desperately in need of funds for her mothers medical bills, the two hatch a plan to fake-date through the season and thwart any marriage plots for Julian.

This was an fake dating, grumpy x sunshine, touch her and die, paranormal romance. I did find myself longing for more world building and exploration of vampire history, but with this being book one I would imagine that more developments are made as one continues reading. The cliffhanger we are left on was also dramatic enough to make me want more.

I will absolutely be picking up the next book!

Filthy Rich Vampire was the beginning of a series that I didn't know I needed to read until I did.
Thea is a cellist in college trying to make ends meet and graduate all while helping her mother who has cancer. She meets Julian (billionaire vampire belonging to one of the oldest and most powerful families) during an event she is performing at and gets swept into his world by accident. From the first meeting, he is drawn to her. The story carries from there.
I loved the way the politics of the vampire world played out throughout the book and the premise of "The Rites". Thea is a very strong woman and I thoroughly enjoyed the banter and back and forth between Julian and her. The chemistry between them was top tier! 🔥🔥
Be ready to read book 2 when you are finished with this... Because the cliffhanger ending of all cliffhangers would have had me wrecked had I not been able to download the next book right away😅

Devoured book one and so glad the series is already out and available on KU because I cannot get enough of Julian and Thea! Quiet and innocent Thea meets sexy and filthy rich just awoken vampire Julian and so much craziness and spice ensues that you won't want to put the book down! This was my first Geneva Lee book and I'm officially hooked! The writing flows so beautifully and as a fan of vampires (I'm looking at you Damon Salvatore), it sucked me right in! See what I did there... :P

Filthy rich vampire by Geneva Lee set itself apart from other vampire novels I have read in the past by giving you a little backstory into the traditions of vampire society and culture and I really enjoyed this the most. I really got into Thea and Julian’s story, and felt like I was on a rollercoaster of emotions with them through each of their ups and downs. My heart soars for them through the happy moments and ached for them through the sadness. I am emotionally attached to the characters, and it ends on a heartbreaking cliff hanger that has me in such a book hangover and desperate for the rest of the story only hoping Julian comes for her.

If you loved Twilight, but wished for more spice, this is definitely the series you need to read! I flew through this one for all the same reasons, but loved that it's for the more "mature" crowd (bc we're definitely not "old"). I also absolutely love this cover and am so glad it's staying the same!

I really enjoyed this new take on vampire society, the blending of different mythologies and cultures just added a really nice twist to the world building of this book. Both the FMC and the MMC were engaging and the dynamic between the two never got boring. In fact the tension between the two of them kept me on my toes and I devoured the book to find out what happened next. There is a pretty big cliffhanger, but I was thankfully able to find out what happened next by reading the rest of the series!

I voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced copy from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'll admit I was drawn in by the gorgeous cover and fun title, but Filthy Rich Vampire was a mess. I hadn't realized this was part of a bigger overarching series. I had anticipated each volume to focus on different characters, like most collections traditionally go, not end the book on a major cliffhanger where the main couple isn't even fully in love. I do enjoy paranormal romances and discovering how different authors create their vampiric lore. Can they walk in the sunlight without sparkling? Are they immortal? Do they drink blood naturally or is it absorbed through their fangs? The do's and don'ts of bloodsuckers can vary from author to author. I can definitely see that this author was heavily influenced by Stephanie Meyer because you could fill a Forks baseball field full of the Twilight references in this book.

Filthy Rich Vampire was essentially if Bella Swan played the cello. There honestly wasn't much of a difference. A shy young maiden is saved from mortal danger by an aloof wealthy vampire. There were so many similarities to Twilight, it was painful. There were hefty bank accounts, secret vampiric bloodlines, and I'm not even kidding, a random scene in an abandoned ballet studio. There is also a major motif of chastity and the allure of virgin's blood to a vampire. I suppose it makes sense if I really want to throw the author a bone. Despite the heroine's status being reiterated to the reader multiple times, she still remained chaste by the end of the book. I was so confused and disappointed until I realized it was an ongoing series. I kept checking the percentage bar and waiting for them to reenact the Breaking Dawn Part 1 honeymoon scene before the book finally ended. You're gonna build up a major plot point and refuse to deliver until the sequel? Bruh.

Perhaps my expectations were too high by the beguiling cover or I read too much into the Twilight references, but this book was a total miss. I will commend that the heroine being a cellist was completely original. That was my favorite aspect of the novel. It's very rare to see romance novels feature musicians, specifically instruments that aren't the piano or the guitar. I really wish I didn't have to fully read the series to see where this couple's story leads. What's the point of highlighting the magnificence of unblemished blood if you're not gonna let the Filthy Rich Vampire partake? Now you're just being cruel.

The premise of this book was just what I needed to get out of my September reading slump. Hot vampires that have been around forever, yes please! A vampire that falls for the innocent mortal, absolutely! This was a super fun read about Julian and Thea who meet at a party - he’s a guest and she was working. They start fake dating to keep Julian off the marriage market - it is the social season after all. Read this if you enjoy:
❤️ vampires
❤️ fake dating
❤️ billionaire romance
❤️ political intrigue
❤️ family drama

This book was so addicting that I immediately found book 2 on Kindle Unlimited and I’m now getting ready to start book 4 in the series.

Come along as Julian and Thea begin their romantic adventure. Julian is a billionaire vampire who is being forced to marry. Thea is a human who he is having pretend to be his girlfriend. It is a wildly creative piece a fantasy that is entertaining and easy to read. It has great characters and wonderful dialogue. The plot is intriguing and has ended at a place that will make readers want to pick up the next book.

Forbidden romance and fake dating but make it vampires. What's the best way for a vampire to avoid marriange and children? Fake date a human of course!

It's so easy to just devour this book. (Pun not intended hehe). It's a light, easy read that just makes you want to keep going until it's finished.

The romance itself really draws you in. When you want someone more than anything in the world but you know you can't have them. They're definitely both gluttons for punishment as they just can't stay away from each other

I almost did bring it down a star as I'm not a huge fan of miscommunication and there was a lot of it going on but not enough that I felt justified taking away the fifth star. It ends on a cliffhanger so I'll obviously need to mainline book two 🥲

4.5/5.0 stars!

This book was a great beginning to a series I will be sure to continue. This is a MF paranormal romance, set in the modern day and centered around a 900+ year old vampire and his young, virgin love interest. (Spoiler alert: The virgin part is integral to the story line.) Thea is a cellist who captures Julian’s interest, both with her talent, her beauty, and something within her blood that “sings to him.” That brought me some hardcore Twilight vibes, and I’m down with it.

Julian is an ancient vampire, only recently awoken from what he possibly intended to be an eternal slumber after tiring of the world. Suddenly awake in our modern world, he must content not only with all that he’s missed in a 40 year slumber, but also the reinitiating of something called The Rites, in which he is expected to find a witchy wife, get married, and make lots of vampire babies. Wanting no part of this, Julian uses his draw to Thea to do a little fake-dating and keep himself off the radar of the prospective witchy mates. From there, we get drawn into Julian and Thea’s story, which is all the things I love in a romance: heart wrenching/angsty, humorous, mysterious, slow burn spice that definitely caught my attention, anda love story that is full of twists and turns. Fair warning—we leave off on a cliffhanger and if you are like me, you may want to throw your Kindle! The good news? The next installments are already available to read! I highly recommend this book if you like contemporary MF paranormal romance….and all things vampire!

Enjoyed this book! I’m wondering where the next book will go. Im thinking some more things will be revealed. It did not end on the craziest cliffhanger. I did like how almost each chapter ended on a cliffhanger. I liked the characters. I do kinda think the FMC forgave a little too easily.
