What a book! I jumped into it almost immediately and wasn't expecting to enjoy this vampire story so much! The characters are so touching with their weaknesses and so strong feelings. I loved the writing and how it's a quite fast-paced adventure. I'll definitely read book 2 soon!

Who doesn’t love a good vampire story? I know many people felt that the genre was “overdone” at some point in time but I think this is a fresh take that I really enjoyed.
The characters were well written and the story really draws you in with all the different emotions and even some 🌶️🌶️
I am excited for the rest of the books because I think it will add even more depth to the story.

Thea and Julian pop off the pages of Filthy Rich Vampire and land smack-dab in your lap. Every aspect of these characters is lively and thoroughly thought out. Thea's biting wit, the way she refuses to let Julian get away with anything, and her composure under pressure make her the perfect foil for angsty, protective, hates-everyone-but-her Julian.

This is one of those beautiful stories where the man makes mistakes and then readily apologizes for them. He's constantly at odds with himself because he wants to keep Thea safe, but the best way to do that is to keep her away from him. His not-so-subtle obsession with her makes that impossible, so there's a lot of high-handedness followed immediately by glorious groveling.

Thea is strong without being rude, independent without belittling Julian at every turn, and isn't afraid to grab the vampire by the fangs and show him what she wants.

To say I devoured this book would be an understatement. The story flowed smoothly and ended far too soon. And that cliffhanger! Gah! I knew something would eventually tear them apart, but I wasn't prepared for the feelings that stirred when it happened.

There are a lot of political machinations going on in Filthy Rich Vampire aside from the romance, and I'm desperate to learn more about Jacqueline, Sabine, Sebastian, Bellamy, and the rest of the crew in the rest of the series.

Fans of Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series and Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones series - and let's be honest, anyone who loves a morally grey hero and a smart-mouthed heroine - should pick tup this book!

Thank you, Entangled Publishing and NetGalley, for the opportunity to read this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Favorite quote:

"They won't stare because of whom you belong to," I whispered into her ear. "But because of how you belong to me."

"How is that?" she asked softly.

"Completely." I kissed the spot below her ear, earning a shiver. "Absolutely. Unequivocally."

Filthy Rich Vampire was such an enjoyable read. I loved it. It was sexy, steamy and sensual. There was action, suspense, intrigue, politics and so much more. I loved the author's spin on vampires. It was interesting to say the least. I loved the world as well. I found it fascinating and can't wait to experience more of it. I liked Thea and Julian especially their relationship dynamic -I loved watching the push and pull between them. However there were two things I wasn't overly fond of and that was Julian was somewhat of an a-hole and the whole issue of Thea's virginity. I felt like it took on a life of its own that was to be quite honest annoying at times. Other than that this was a solid read. I'm most definitely looking forward to getting my hands on the next book in the series as well as reading more by this author. I definitely recommend.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.
First, there aren’t enough vampire romance books (in my opinion) and aı can say that I am always running for more. So I was super excited.
The cover was discreet, thank you, I dont want half naked men, or half naked men embracing women. I find these cheesy, sorry.
The title is catching yes, but it has nothing to do with the story. Why filthy rich? What is being rich got to do with the story? Just for the sake of catching attention I guess, but the story deserved a better title. I am not an expert but song of the blood, with a cello on the cover.. or serenade of the damned, with cello note sheet on the cover.. it could have been better. Thats all I am saying.
As for the story, Thea’s being a musician was nice. Playing on a special night where Julian was expected to meet single women was also nice. They both resist, but then fall in love. Julian’s transformation from centuries old bachelor-bad boy to the idealized possessive boyfriend was a bit rushed and I almost had a whiplash. It could have been smoother. Julian’s mother was even more stable in terms of her character and reactions.
The writing was to the point and uncomplicated. I enjoyed and read in two sittings.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

This was a stretch read for me, not usually my type but was intrigued by the vampire aspect. Spicy & fun read!

“Filthy Rich Vampire” by Geneva Lee is everything an adult urban vampire romance read should be. Think Twilight - but so much sexier!

This novel follows Thea - a student and cellist - who is living paycheck to paycheck, working two jobs, and trying to survive school and life under the massive debt she’s collected in student loans and her mother’s medical bills from being sick with cancer.

After accepting a gig with her quartet, Thea crosses paths with Julian Rousseaux, a single, wealthy vampire who is just beginning the social season in which he’s expected to pick a bride - the last thing he wants to do. Julian is drawn to Thea and despite initial reservations, proposes a deal to Thea - pretend to be his girlfriend and he’ll change her life. He asks for one year and all of the season’s social events in exchange for his protection and the compensation to rid her of the debt hanging over her head.

As Thea is thrust into the dark world of vampires and witches, matchmaking, and duty to family, she finds herself more drawn to Julian than ever, willing to give him her innocence for a lifetime with him. Unfortunately, Julian’s mother and the vampire Council have other plans.

This book was a great read - it had forbidden love, fated mates, fake dating…all the best tropes! I loved that Thea was so outspoken and didn’t back down from what she wanted - not when her friend doubted her relationship, not when Julian’s mother was a raging, conniving witch and tried to break them up. Julian is a grumpy vampire that - despite his best efforts - cannot stay away from Thea. He gives her the world, while also trying to reign in his baser nature and vampiric tendencies with her because he doesn’t want to hurt her.

The book has some interesting twists and the reader definitely gets a sense of what might occur in subsequent novels. (The past isn’t quite as dead as Julian had been led to believe and it comes to a head in the next book of the series!)

The book ends on somewhat of a cliffhanger but definitely sets the stage for the sequel. I was definitely upset with how things ended - in a good way! I read through this book quickly and immediately went to download the second and third books in the series. (I got through almost all three in one day!)

If you enjoy vampire novels with fantasy elements, witches, magic and grumpy vamps, you’ll want to check out this entire series by Geneva Lee!

This book was a good paranormal romance with some great tropes! Fake dating, vampires, forbidden love, insta-lust, and billionaire romance. Julian is being forced to get married, so he squires the help of Thea, a human, to be his “fake wife” so his family will stay off of his back. If she follows along, he offers to help her with her mother’s medical bills. This was a fun read with tons of family drama, and a great start to a series! I’m excited to see what the next book is all about.

This is technically a second read through for me. However, this is a novel I would pick up again and again because I loved the main characters so much. Thea is so bratty and totally independent. But when the broody Julian sees and smells her from a mile away as a ball after the council invoked the Rites, while she was on stage laying her cello.

Julian goes above and beyond with everything. From protecting her, gifting her a priceless cello after breaking hers, and even down to shopping. Thea struggles with this, as she’s always been very frugal and rather broke. Julian does not take no for an answer anywhere in the book. The only thing that gets in his way is that they can’t go to bed together — the act would tether them.

Geneva Lee does a great job of making Julian’s mom so unlikable. As she absolutely cannot stand him with a mortal — as he should marry somebody with powers to continue the bloodline.

The plot and flow is spot on and the action within leaves you wanting more. The characters are starkly different and I’m so glad Thea is so sassy, and the perfect FMC for Julian as he meets his match.

ARC review. Thank you Entangled Publishing, Geneva Lee, and NetGalley for the eARC of Filthy Rich Vampires. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Filthy Rich Vampires is a perfect read for October. Think a modern day Bridgerton (marriage market), with Twilight (vampire world/culture) and billionaire romance vibes (here’s my card, buy whatever you want). I loved every page! 🙌

Julian and Thea bring the romance and the spice. He’s a disillusioned 1,000 year old vampire. She’s a sexually inexperienced cellist. Put them together in the middle of the vampire social season and the pages begin to turn themselves 🔥.

I really enjoyed learning about the vampire world and culture right along Thea. The deeper Julian and Thea’s relationship went, the more of the decadent immortal society was revealed to me as a reader. I never knew what secrets would be told next, which kept me coming back for more.

Also, that ending! 👀 I got to the last page and couldn’t believe the massive cliffhanger! I’m going to need to pick up the second installment of the series ASAP! I NEED to know what happens next.

In the pages, you will find:

🧛‍♂️ Vampire marriage market
🎻 Spice
🧛‍♂️ Paris
🎻”I’ll give you the world”
🧛‍♂️ Sexually inexperienced FMC
🎻“I can’t stay away from you” vibes
🧛‍♂️ Shopping spree with no budget
🎻 Cliffhanger ending

Will you be picking up Filthy Rich Vampires when it’s released on October 24th? Let me know in the comments! In case you were wondering, I will absolutely be getting a copy for myself!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Seductive and steamy. This book is the perfect mix of vampire romance + 50 shades of Grey. That cliffhanger was so painful, though! The characters were fun, flirty, and made me enjoy reading the book.

I've been searching for something to fill my Twilight nostalgia, given the time of year. It took a little resistance to not re-read the series, until I saw this book!

📖 FILTHY RICH VAMPIRES is a modern Twilight x Bridgerton based story.

Cellist Thea literally stumbles into his life at a gala. She needs protection from a room full of vampires; Julian Rousseaux needs a fake girlfriend. He's single, the world's wealthiest vampires and the social season is about to begin. Julian would rather stake himself than participate in the marriage market.

Julian makes Thea an irresistible offer: pretend to be his lover and he'll change her life. For one year, they'll attend the season's social events together in exchange for his protection and a way out of her mother's crippling medical debt.

New dangers emerge: a desire as forbidden as their stolen touches, an awakening of a long-dead heart, and secrets that could tear them both apart!!

Book Tropes;

⋒ Witch x Human x Vampires
⋒ Steamy, Bloodlust Romance 🌶
⋒ Possesive, Powerful MMC
⋒ Shopping in Paris
⋒ High Society Vamps 🧛‍♂️

Things I loved;

⋒ The book was steamy 🔥 🥵 The bond between Thea and Julian kept me pacing through, like I had to know their fate!

⋒ It wasn't too smutty but it was descriptive 😉 Twilight is low grade these days, imagine it SMUT.

⋒ It filled my Twilight void. Yet - I WANTED MORE! I love Vampire stories 🖤

⋒ Rousseaux family had class, money, education and confidence that kept them sexy. You're lured by it's high vampire society and Bridgerton-esque vibes from the start! AND THAT ENDING!

Thank you for the ARC @entangled_publishing ✨️

Vampires, billionaires, couture, and a hint of magic?!

How could this go poorly? I ate this up in a few hours and immediately got the rest of the series queued up.

I enjoyed the pace of the storyline, although it was a bit repetitive with the mysterious secrets plaguing their relationship.

If you go into this knowing that it is an insanely unrealistic billionaire vampire falling for a Bella Swan-Esque girl who has no inkling of how stunning and talented she is, you’ll love it! The family drama is very soap-opera worthy and absolutely addicting, as one would hope.

5/5 ⭐️ because it was vampire cr@ck and you’re lying if you don’t love vampire romance. On to book 2….

*Thank you Netgalley & Entangled Publishing for providing me an E-ARC of this story, much appreciated!

It’s been a REALLY long time since I read a story about a vampire so, I was really excited when I got this ARC! Based off the synopsis, I was immediately intrigued by Julian and Thea’s story. Little bit of paranormal romance, the rich lifestyle of wealthy vampires, a bit of darkness, romance, opposites attract, and more.

When Julian awakes from his long slumber with a summons from his mother to attend the social season among other vampires, it was the last thing he wanted to do. The cherry on top of everything that Julian didn’t want to deal with was, with all the vampires coming together for the season, it meant that as the oldest in his family, it was time for Julian to find a wife. Thea was a cellist, and juggling lots of responsibilities from work, school, and her family. Things got a lot more complicated and a bit interesting for Thea when she stumbled into Julian at a gala event. Two unlikely individuals from two different worlds found themselves agreeing to pretend to be lovers in order for Julian to get his mother off his back and avoid other potential partners.

Thea was a sweet, a mix between naive and innocent, but also quite stubborn against Julian. Between working two jobs, going to school, and finding opportunities to play as a cellist, Thea was managing the best she could. I liked Thea, I found her to be amusing yet also a bit daring with the way she spoke towards Julian, especially considering since he was a vampire, he could have easily overpower her, but he didn’t. I admired the way that despite all that was happening around her, Thea still maintained some semblance of lightness to her, and had some fun with Julian.

Julian was the epitome of rich, devastatingly handsome, and quite deadly. As much as Julian hated the fact of the Rites been enacted for the social season, it was his duty as a Rousseaux to uphold the responsibility as the oldest in his family. Although, just as his night seemed to be dull, it immediately changed when he caught the most alluring scent which happened to belong to none other than, Thea. From the moment Thea and Julian met, I liked their banter, and the way that Julian and Thea seemingly found a natural flow in getting along… for the most part. Julian was literally the most gorgeous vampire, as well as highly known especially considering his family was essentially the top in their social circle, that came with notoriety and power. Being a vampire came with his share of responsibilities as well, but as much as Julian was meant to find a familiar in order to get married and have an heir, he found himself intrigued and fascinated by Thea that he couldn’t resist not just the allure of her blood, but also how she spoke to him without any ounce of fear.

The way this story was written had me throughly immersed within the vampire world alongside Julian and Thea. This story had magic, supernatural creatures from vampires, to witches, and wild ancient traditions that went definitely had me worried for Thea. Not only was I immersed in the story, but I was totally loving the romance between Julian and Thea! Julian and Thea were from two different worlds, but there was something between them just made sense, despite the many objections from Julian’s family *ahem his mother. This story had a little bit of everything not just from the supernatural, but also a… you guessed it, A FLITHY RICH VAMPIRE! Julian was beyond richer than the millionaires or billionaires you’ve read about. I’m talking the level of wealth that has spanned over centuries, and even while reading I couldn’t even imagine how much money Julian actually had, but I just knew he was so rich it was beyond my wildest imaginations. Plus, Julian had no trouble or issue spoiling Thea, which I loved that for her!

Even with the main storyline of Thea and Julian pretending to be together in order to avoid The Rites, there was still some obstacles that they both had to face. In the beginning, Julian and Thea agreed to pretend to be together in order to help each other out, but what they didn’t anticipate was falling for one another and going up against Julian’s mother, Sabine. As the story progressed and showed the events that both Julian and Thea had to attend, it showed just how much Thea was thrown in the deep end of this other worldly place she never imagined she’d find herself in. As much as Julian was always protective of Thea, some things Thea learned came at a hard realization and left her feeling conflicted about her relationship with Julian. The more Thea uncovered what Julian hasn’t fully told her about himself, his family, and his world, even I was a bit shocked at the truths that were uncovered! Even when Thea managed to find the strength to stand her ground, there were some things she didn’t see coming that completely shook her to her core.

If you’re a fan of supernatural romances/ vampire romances, you’ll enjoy this story! Thea and Julian’s story started off in their agreed arrangement to essentially “fake date” in order to ward off any potential interest from others within the social season, but quickly both Thea and Julian felt more attraction towards each other. The way this story went from beginning, middle, and end was a mix of not only romance, but also some plot twists, and a cliffhanger that left me with multiple questions!!! I loved seeing Julian being fiercely protective over Thea, even with his neanderthal ways haha. Thea may have been a bit innocent, but she was feisty, and stubborn up against a powerful vampire, Julian. Julian and Thea’s romance was sexy, passionate, a bit of angst, and a whole lot of obstacles for them to face. The way the story ended not only broke me for Thea and Julian, but again had me wondering what led to that cliffhanger especially with Julian?! I throughly enjoyed reading this story, I was immersed, zooming through the chapters, and I didn’t want to take a break while reading! A perfect book to read during the spooky season or just if you’re in the mood to read about a grumpy, sexy yet also thoughtful vampire who will do absolutely anything (including violence) in order to protect the human he’s fallen for!

I liked this and may continue on with the series but I didn’t love it. I found the world building and vampire lore easy to follow and that’s what really let my interest, but I didn’t love the characters.

For such a powerful and old vampire, Julian came off as a little immature. And I like Thea but I wish we had a little more character development cause I can see the attraction between her and Julian but it also felt very one dimensional .

I think what made me rate a 3 was that it gave off a 50 shades of Grey but make it vampire. Complete with a bizarre spanking/light BDSM scene that really wasn’t necessary.

I may continue on with the series because it leaves off on a cliffhanger and I find the other side characters intriguing, but it’s not a vampire series I would classify as a favorite or must read.

this book gave me twilight (but more adult) + vampire diaries + crazy rich asians + fifty shades (without the red room) vibes. it was fun & sexy, but also frustrating. it has a decent amount of spice & kink. oh, & there’s a lot of growling 🫠

thea & julian are from two different worlds and social classes. their relationship starts off as an agreement but grows into something more. naturally, as human & vampire, there’s so many things & people working against their relationship; which is where the frustration comes in - there’s a constant push/pull that makes you want to scream. like.. just do it already !!

this book definitely leaves you craving for more. i can’t wait to finish the series & find out how thea & julian overcome their obstacles and finally get their happy ever after.

tropes: fake relationship, forbidden romance, touch her & ☠️, fated mates, dual pov.

critical review: there were some moments that confused me where I had to go back and reread and ended up still confused, but maybe it’s just my brain not working at 2am? there were also some weird moments where thea’s panties were ripped off, but she wakes up in the morning with one on.. lol. overall, I loved the story and the author did an amazing job pulling me in to thea & julians world.

I was enjoying "Filthy Rich Vampire" until I realized how close to the 100% mark I was on my Kindle with absolutely nothing having been resolved. Which made sense once I hit the end of the book and realized it is definitely not a standalone, something I am not a huge fan of in terms of romance novels. Luckily I realized this is a re-release and I have downloaded the rest of the series to be read in time (though I have not read them as of this review).

I liked the book enough to want to continue in the series, though there are lots of open plot points. Steamy, angsty, tortured hero and young virginal love interest. I didn't love that Thea basically lets Julian remove her from her prior life (but again, she is super young), and I am pretty sure I know how this is going to play out in terms of who Thea is to Julian, but I am intrigued enough to find out if I am right.

3.5 stars, rounded to 4. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary ARC of the re-release of this book. The opinions herein are my own.

The plot itself was well paced, keeping me engaged with plenty of action, and guessing as it twisted. There was also an enticing array of interesting characters. A book worth reading.

"Filthy Rich Vampire" is the first installment of "Filthy Rich Vampires," a paranormal romance series written by Geneva Lee and currently in progress.

I was intrigued by the premises of this book, but unfortunately the unfolding didn't convince me.

The pace is perhaps the element I enjoyed most. Light, effervescent and fast, it kept me glued to the pages from beginning to end. I read it in less than a day, almost without realizing it! The writing, on the other hand, unfortunately didn't convince me. I don't know, it seemed a bit cold, a bit clunky, with several repetitions and unnecessarily convoluted sentences. I felt a lack of feeling, of depth, so much so that I found myself indifferent towards the story and characters.

The plot proceeds briskly, full of intrigue, subterfuge, balls, more or less fake dates and much more. A winning mixture on paper, which unfortunately disappointed me in its realization. It is a cute, fluent story, in my opinion lacking in complexity and depth of narration. As mentioned above, I couldn't connect with the style and this prevented me from appreciating the book. Also, at one point, I felt an incredible feeling of dragging, thankfully mitigated by the fast pace.

Thea and Julian, protagonists of the story, left me rather indifferent. They seemed to me superficial, without thickness, flat. I'm sorry because they had the right potential to win me over, instead they conveyed nothing except boredom and frustration. Perhaps I preferred Thea slightly more, also because of her problematic family situation, yet for me she could have given so much more. The romance, consequently, follows the same fate. Since I didn't get attached to the characters and didn't empathize with them, it left me lukewarm. I love fake dating trope a lot and I found the idea of the relationship interesting, in theory, too bad that in practice it did not excite me.

All in all, this is a paranormal romance with fascinating premises that unfortunately, for my personal taste, failed to involve and convince me in the development!

Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I found that the novel wasn't a complete disaster, but I struggled to finish this.
The story attempted to blend elements of the Regency-era romance seen in Bridgerton with the supernatural allure of vampires, which initially seemed promising. Unfortunately, it failed to fully live up to these popular themes.
The plot was passable but lacked the depth and complexity required to make it truly engaging.
What disappointed me the most was the characters. Despite being immortal vampires, they came across as surprisingly one-dimensional and, at times, even childish.
While the book did have its moments, they were few and far between. The romantic elements were decently crafted but fell short of reaching the passionate heights I expected from a vampire-themed novel. There was an absence of genuine chemistry between the characters.

Thank you, Entangled Publishing, LLC and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
