I so loved the movie Airplane. So, when I was given a chance to listen to the story behind the movie, I couldn’t wait to listen. It was so interesting listening to David Zucker, Jim Abrahams and Jerry Zucker and their guest share the stories of how it all came together, their struggles, families and what they are doing now. As a side note, 1980 when the movie came out, I was a flight attendant working for TWA. Those of us in the industry absolutely loved the over the top humor. I've probably watched Airplane! at least two dozen times, and it never gets any less funny. That type of humor is so unique and from what I can tell, has never been successfully replicated. I loved getting an inside scoop into the creation of this iconic movie, and the audio version of this was even more special. The creators, actors, and various comedians shared their personal experiences with the film which was such a joy to listen to. As I expected, finishing this book made me immediately want to pop in my copy of Airplane! for yet another viewing.
