This book gives me all of the feels of the Naturals series and will be sure to be a new addition to reading recs for my high schoolers!
I'm sorry I was not able to read and review this book before it was archived, due to serious health issues.
Entertaining. Couldn't put it down! So thankful for the chance to read it.
I look at the cover and think, "This looks like a Sara Shepard book." (Fact is, I haven't even read Sara Shepard, haha.)
Then I read the blurb and think, "I think I'm about to meet a Frankie Banks ripoff." (Of The Disreputable History of Frances Landau-Banks fame, only one of the most badass YA heroines anyone will ever come across.)
Then I proceed to the first chapter and think, "Well, well, well, we have here an Upper East Sider." (What? Gossip Girl was fun!)
Then I go on to read the book and

Okay, there were times when the story got predictable but the mysterious death of Anne Dowling's— aka Marshmallow-in-the-making (She has to do for now since Rob Thomas has yet to release the VMars book series)—roommate got me holding my breath for what seemed like a thousand chapters. (Clearly, I'm exaggerating; the book only has below 30.) I enjoyed how I was brought into Wheatly School and how it felt like I was running alongside the characters who were so convincing they seemed like people I would actually know, unveiling a mystery that seemed so plausible it might have been based on a true story. I can't say I am not looking forward to the sequel because I am and I CANNOT WAIT.
