Graphic novels are not usually top of my list but I have a kiddo who loves them so we read them a lot. This was on the better side as far as they go. I'm not in love but it was ok.
A quick, easily understood read. We have the expected messaging about teamwork and valuing one another's strengths. There's a decent dose of humor and appealing illustrations.
Incredibly silly, mildly gross in the funny way, and full of the coolest superheroes at the beach! This is a great graphic novel for the animal loving kids in your life.
Cute art. I do love that it is silly and just a bit gross at times. The scene where he got peed on in the ocean had me cackling. Adorable I think my middle schoolers will LOVE this. Hilarious.

This was such a fun graphic novel and the story was so cute with the animals getting powers from the blood moon eclipse and saving their beach from a krill monster. I loved how the team came together and included Woolly even though he didn’t have any powers and the art was super cute.
Thanks to Harper Alley and Netgalley for the complimentary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.
I enjoyed reading this. I recommended it to my sister in law for my 7 year old niece. The art is cute. The storyline was easy to follow. The funny bits were wonderfully placed throughout the story. I thought it was good there were historical facts woven in as well.
Super cute graphic novel for kids. My 10yo loved it. Nothing to write home about but fun all the same. Kids will really enjoy it.
Thanks for the ARC, Netgalley!
Nothing especially new or exciting (and without the quirky uniqueness of 2023's "The Mighty Bite" by Nathan Hale), but will be a good deal of fun for young readers looking for something simple, silly, and ... sandy, I guess?
Fun, silly graphic novel involving creatures becoming superheroes and making friends. One character does not have a super power but saves the day anyway.
I love this kind of graphic novel. 5 plus plus.
A hilarious new series well drawn and colors that made me want to draw more. The first page makes us smile immediately and sets the mood. We're in Burlap Beach and a new team of superheroes (who don't help as much as they think) is formed after a Blood Moon (very well explained by Shu the scientist of the team who is setting a lab to see the Moon Eclipse).
Science, Humor, friendship, adventure, and superpowers initiated by the Moon Eclipse event enhancing not only our unihorn friends' powers but evil Krill as well.
Perfect for young readers (6-10) this story will make you laugh.
I love the artwork and I can't decide who my favorite character is because they all have their moments. Join Team Unihorn and Woolly.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for this e-Arc.
