This delightful book has a narrator who is self-aware and realizes that he is in a book. He keeps claiming that there are no dragons in the book, that all the chaos and disarray is from the kids. But the reader can see a dragon claw or tail peeking slipping out from behind other things in every page. Children reading the book and the children within the story alike explore the pictured home looking for the dragon. Children will love searching for the hidden dragon but also all the other interesting details. They will be satisfied when the dragon is finally revealed, but also have fun with the surprising twist at the end. I was fortunate to read an advanced review copy of this adorable book. This book is aimed at four- to eight-year-olds, but I recommend it for kids of all ages from four- to- ninety-four.
I liked this book for little kids, would think it'd be fun to read to little's. The illustrations are fun, detailed & colorful....& look kind of like crayon colored sketches.....kind of unique, but kind of relatable! I wouldn't be surprised if your kids have you reading this to them repeatedly! A great addition for any library!
I received an e-ARC of this book from publisher NorthSouth Books Inc. via NetGalley, in return for reading it & offering my own fair/honest review. The opinions are my own.
What a fun, creative book to read aloud! The rhythmic pattern and tge colorful illustrations are perfect. This Nana loved it!
This story is really cute and reading it to my kids, they really enjoyed it as well. It was fun looking through the pictures and seeing all the little details that we could find on each page. The artwork is really well done on each page and my kids were so focused on finding everything hidden around. Super cute story.

The idea behind this book it cute. And as always, I really admire the work and dedication that went into both writing and illustrating it.
This book just wasn't for me. It tries to be too many things. It spends so much time trying to convice you that there are not dragons in the book that the bait and switch doesn't end up being charming. The illustrations also didn't really get the job done for me.
This was a cute book for kids. It was a bit interactive which is fun for kids and i like the fact that the story is told from the pov of the dragon. Also it could be fun for a kid to look for the dragon that is present on every page!
I like the interactive aspect of this book. I can see myself reading this with my son and him giggling non-stop while looking for the dragons. However, the illustration style is not a personal favorite of mine.
Adorable book that plays with the very nature of being a book, and what a story is, drawing the reader into the journey as an active participant (should they wish to be). This is a book that calls out to be held in the readers hands and can be turned and talked to (again, if you want to, that is). Lovely illustrations bring the reader into a warm family made warmer throughout the story unfolding. Without giving any spoilers, the tale goes both exactly where you expect it will and delightfully somewhere new and sweet. Worth a read both with your young readers and that part of your self that enjoys delight and humor and stirring illustrations.
Kids books where kids can look within the page and the physical places in the book are usually a hit. Not the biggest fan of the illustration style but I think a young kid would have fun with the concept of this book.
What a fun little book! I particularly liked it when the book became interactive. I think children who like dragons and humor will enjoy this one.
Interactive picture books are always a hit, and this one is sure to be the same! There may (or may not) be dragons in this book, but there is definitely fun.
Fun short interactive book for children. Not much to comment on. There wasn't much of an overarching lesson to be learned but can possibly keep the attention a young reader at. Bedtime.
We LOVED this book so, so much!!! It was such a fun read and one we will reread for forever. I definitely recommend it.
This book was cute. My son had fun trying to find the dragon on each page. The book reminded me of there’s a monster in the book or how to catch series. Perfect for preschool age.
Are we sure there are no dragons in this book?
Kids will enjoy this vibrant and whimsical book which teases at the presence of dragons as they thumb through the pages. The interactive tale will amuse and spark their imagination as they explore the promise of the title. The illustrations seemed to move on the page, and there’s lots for them to explore within each page, beyond the story.

Charming story about a family who definitely does not have any dragons in their home. The narrator interacts with readers as they think they see dragon parts on each page. Eventually, the real story comes out and readers help the narrator find his friends. The artwork is fun to study and a challenge for readers to locate the dragon in some scenes. A light family read that lets the kids actively participate in the story.
Thank you so much for letting me read this book. I just love all these pretty picture books. This one was very cute.
This is such a sweet little story of going on an adventure to change the story! From no dragons to a book full of them, kids will laugh and feel empowered!

This was adorable! The animations were great and the story was cute and simple. This was a breath of fresh air! I am sure kids will love this!
This book was cute. Are there really no dragons in the house? We keep seeing clues that might not be true. Readers are encouraged to try to figure it out.
There wasn't a lot of point to the story, but it was cute and fun.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
