I wish this book was longer. It's a great primer with some fun bits of information, but it's more of a coffee table flip through book or a starter guide for teens as an intro to astrology. There's a chapter for each of the 12 zodiac signs, and they all include a bit of intro information about the energies of that time of year, self care tips, affirmations, love life and manifestation guides (but just a page each), moon magic ideas, and a ritual to try that season. Everything seemed fun and accurate to what I know in the field, but it's not quite enough. I think this could have been made into a much longer book and been excellent!
I've been a long-time fan of astrology so I was excited about this new "Seasons of the Zodiac," which did not disappoint! I appreciate that this book you allows you to zone in on a specific sign/season and read about self-care, magick, rituals, manifestations, and affirmations. Definitely positive and uplifting! Recommended for anyone interested in learning more about signs and magick!
I wish I had more time to read this ARC. Because there are 12 seasons of the zodiac and I wanted to see how true to the book each season felt. I like the way the content was presented.
Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Fairwinds for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.
I used to read my horoscope every day. I love learning about different astrological signs, and especially reading up on my sign, Libra. Seasons of the Zodiac was amazing and gave great insight as to what Zodiac Season is and I how it is also known as your sun sign in astrology. The author gives many tips on how to ground and center yourself during zodiac season, what to expect in regards to your love life, how to use each zodiac season's energy to manifest, and affirmations to use to tap into the zodiac season's energy.
Of course I loved reading about Libra Season and as a people-pleaser, what to look out for and avoid. I thought the Moon Magick was really interesting and what my Libra vibe would be in the new moon.
This book was wonderful, informative, and perfect for those who love reading up on their sign.
Highly recommend!
It was interesting enough that I was intrigued. But I also would have liked a little more info. But with the info we did get it. It was almost dead on point for me.
“Seasons of the Zodiac” by Stephanie Campos was a delightful read. Prior to reading this book, I would’ve said I had a mild interest in learning about astrology and the zodiac signs. While reading, I found myself immersed in each season and taking mental notes. This was such an enjoyable structure of writing as well. Each season had its own chapter that starts with a succinct overview of the zodiac season. The chapters then break down into other helpful sections, such as self-care tips, notes on your love life during this season, and how to manifest best during this season. There is also a section dedicated to the new moon and full moon and what each represents during their respective seasons. My personal favourites were the sections at the end of each chapter that included a seasonal ritual as well as affirmations.
3.5 stars
This was fun and educational I just wish it has more visual because some parts were not that easy to understand.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Loved reading about all the signs . I like the self care tips for each sign . Good read if you’re into signs.
This is a great introduction to astrological seasons. Obviously good for .beginners of any age, but it seems a perfect gift for a busy teenager who is curious about the zodiac and wants to do a little self reflection each month. (although Scorpio season gets a little spicy ) Kudos for inclusive touches like Aquarius’s Water Bearer in a wheelchair. I’m a little curious why Virgo Season ends on September 20. I rolled my eyes at the suggestion to take yourself on a date for Libra season, but the line about advocating for your own needs and that confrontation being necessary for growth made me stop and think. I’m not sure if I agree with the confrontation part (Libra moon here), but it did give me something to ponder. All in all, it’s a solid effort and nicely done.
I really enjoyed the thought and detail put into this book. I was very educational in a fun way, very much enjoyed getting to know more about not only my personal zodiac sign, but also all the other signs.
I have received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. So thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this opportunity!
This book was a great help to me in my practice.
I learned a lot from it.
A good introduction to understanding your zodiac signs. I would prefer more detail and or pictures. It was a quick read and I would read more from this author.
Wonderful cover. The content doesn't go very deep but gives insight into each season each zodiac and personality. It's positive, optimistic and uplifting recharging with hopeful mantras and tips. Gift able and makes a great coffee table book for curious of the occult and stars.
Loved this book! This book is very well-written and clear and really works to dispel a lot of the myths and mystery around the zodiac. This book makes it all so much more understandable and applicable to real life. I loved the vibe of this book and highly recommend this one if you are into the zodiac or spiritual ideals.
Seasons of the Zodiac is an impactful little book about the astrological seasons. Even as a seasoned astrology enthusiast I found this book an enjoyable and interesting quick read. In the book there are included some more generic information about each of the signs, but also some fun ways to celebrate each of them throughout the year, I recommend this read to anyone who is interested in living their life a bit more aligned with the Zodiac!
"Seasons of the Zodiac" is a visually captivating book that introduces readers to the world of Zodiac signs and their seasonal associations. It is a decent starting point for those new to the subject but it falls short in providing in-depth insights, offering information that is readily available online. Nevertheless, the book shines with its enchanting illustrations and thoughtful affirmations at the end of each chapter, it would be a delightful gift choice for astrology enthusiasts seeking a beautiful and inspiring reference.
This is a decent introductory reference book for people just learning about the topic, but does not go very in depth.
“SEASONS OF THE ZODIAC—Love, Magick, and Manifestation Throughout the Astrological Year,” by STEPHANIE CAMPOS—astrologer, author and television personality—has compiled a fascinatingly unique and comprehensive collection of insights and perspectives on each of the 12 zodiac signs; thematically charged manifestation suggestions to embrace the energy of the cosmos for each season of the Astrological Year; positive affirmations for each sign, and Tarot spreads and suggested questions to consider during different moon phases. Campos colorfully illustrated compendium is chock-full of esoteric information typically unavailable in other astrological sources and texts.
JoyReaderGirl1 graciously thanks NetGalley, Author Stephanie Campos, and Publisher Quartro Publishing Group - Fair Winds, Fair Winds Press for this advanced reader’s copy (ARC) for review.
I love the illustrations and affirmations at the end of each chapter. Such a cute gift idea for people who are interested in the zodiacs. However, I would recommend it to beginners since most of the information is rather basic and generic.
Definitely a cool read. I just wish it provided a little more depth for readers. It came across as more general information you could find online. Still a good book to have for each season when looking for guidance.
Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the arc.
