Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.

Thank you NetGalley for this arc!

This was a fun read, although I wasn’t aware it was the 4th book in the series.
Jules owns a glamping resort in a tourist town where they really love Christmas where murders seem to happen, can she solve them?

Christmas, Oh I do love Christmas at any time of year. This is a book that is a bit of fun, a bit of murder and of course an amateur sleuth. A cosy mystery and an entertaining read. A good story and it is very easy to read, I enjoyed the characters and the setting. And to top it off. Recipes! I wasn't expecting that.

A good, fun and entertaining read for any lover of cosy, mystery and Christmas.

Thank you NetGalley and Level Best Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Heather Weidner delivers a rollicking ride of a cozy mystery where the cat fights keep on coming—and they aren’t limited to the wild tigers on display for the holidays.

Jules has her hands full, organizing small town events and running her tiny-house glamping business. Then a dead body shows up inside the big cat cage. The last thing Jules needs is a murder that threatens to derail her plans and put a damper on the Christmas festivities.

This is a fast-paced mystery with an interesting setting and an engaging amateur sleuth. A fun read around the holiday, or anytime.

This book was not my cup of tea. I focused mainly on holiday books for the month of December, but I struggled to get into this book. For this reason, I chose not to review it on my bookstagram account.

The storyline was difficult to follow, but I might try to read it again next season.

This was fun and a bit different than usual. Jules is the owner of the Fern Valley Glamping Resort in a town where they make Christmas a big feature, including a procession which attracts a lot of visitors who they hope will spend money in the town.

There is a murder or two with many suspects and lots of very entertaining characters. Jules gets some great support from of these as she tries to solve the mystery.

An enjoyable cozy with a Christmas theme. Four stars.

Every year I do enjoy a Christmas book in some form, I thought this sounded good a Christmas cosy story with a bit of murder doled out. I'll give it a whirl.

The book itself is part of a series, if I had read the others I don't think I'd have bothered to read this one, I'm not big on massively lingering on books, I do find it a little tedious and sometimes a little lackluster plus I already had had a few issues with this one so if it had even been the first book, I wouldn't bother with anymore! I'm sorry to be so mean!

The writing is a bit dull, the dialogue is really unnatural and clunky, some of the ideas within the story seemed a little bit too unrealistic, such as bringing other known characters from other murder mystery books, into the book for the purpose of a nickname, a little unbelievable.

I'm not sure on the title of the book either, doesn't really seem relevant an the book art isn't either, I think it gives off a totally different vibe versus what the book is about. There also seems to be a mix of different things going on, there's a murder, glamping life to learn about, A LOT of information that not really relevant (could do with a massive edit part way through) and recipes in the back of the book.
It just seemed a little all over the place for me and seems lacking in Christmas feels, lacking in ability to engage the reader, too much randomness and repetitiveness in one place, it boggled my head!

I think mostly that the author was trying too hard and I don't understand why if this is the third book in the series.

I received this free ARC from Netgalley, in exchange for my review.

I was looking for a fun mystery set during the Christmas season to get me in the holiday spirit. Christmas Lights and Cat Fights by Heather Baker Weidner was just the book! I was delighted to find that it was set in Virginia, and I recognized many of the towns. I want to continue to follow the adventures of Jules Keene.

It's a who-done-it holiday style. I have not read the other glamping books in the series, but Christmas Lights And Cat Fights certainly influenced me to go ahead and put the others on my TBR list. This cozy mystery holiday had a lot of recipes thrown in which kind of through me off. The murder was predictable too.

📖📖📖

Christmas has come to Fern Valley, and the town’s decked out with enough glitter and sparkle for a month’s worth of celebrations, each more over-the-top than the previous one. The idyllic setting, filled with laughter, carols, and sweet treats, is shattered, along with some of the decorations, when the current wife and the ex-wife of a big-cat showman have a knock-down, drag-out fight in the center of town. Jules Keene, owner of the Fern Valley Glamping Resort, tries to keep peace among her guests and with the town council, but it turns into a catastrophe when Tabbi Morris, winds up dead in one of her ex-husband’s tiger cages. And if the murder wasn’t enough, Jules discovers that some of the big cats are missing, but the owner and his family insists that nothing is wrong.

Curiosity gets the best of her, and she has to solve the murder and figure out if the owner of Cal’s Cats is pussy-footing around or whether it’s something more sinister before it ruins the holiday season and her business.

This is the third book in this series, but the first I have read. It read fine as a stand alone and I didn’t feel like I was missing a lot of backstory. I found it a bit lengthy and the mystery was not really gripping. The characters were o.k. but we don"t learn a lot about them or their lives other than their actions and what they talk about. Also the ending felt very fabricated and unbelievable. I’d skip this one.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Christmas mystery meets Tiger King! I was excited to read this book thanks to NetGalley! This book had me guessing until the end! I also greatly enjoyed the developing romance between Jules and Jake! It’s a perfect read for a cozy night!

Not very Christmassy, not very mystery, not very engaging. It was still a quick little read, and I know it’s someone’s pick. There was just a lot of random description that I didn’t need and there was a lot of repeating which pushed me out of the story. It’s an interesting concept, but I could have guessed what was happening early on…but like I said, still a quick little read if you need entertaining & like big cats
