Only and Forever review
I have been eager for Viggo’s book since the beginning of this series. I remember laughing so hard at Sebastian’s description of Viggo as “always waving around a romance novel, yelling about toxic masculinity and happy endings” and just knew I would love him and his story.
Their journey to falling in love was authentic, emotional, and deeply relatable. I loved how they supported each other even as they were fighting their feelings.
This book was a wonderfully crafted contemporary romance and an amazing end to a great series. Only and Forever was an insightful, heartfelt, and enjoyable read with great banter and emotional depth.
I love Chloe Liese. I loved the other books in this series and all of Viggo’s siblings, but this one didn’t hit the same to me. I struggled with the chemistry between Viggo and Tallulah. I also know I read this during a busy work season for me so I’m hoping I love it more with a reread.
I loved the grump/sunshine trope and that Tallulah was the grump. I love Viggo and how much he loves romance.
I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.
I didn't realize this one was part of a series when I requested it, but I didn't have much trouble reading it as a standalone. I do think that more of a. background on each of Viggo's siblings and their relationships would have brought something to the story that I missed, but the story as a whole was fine without knowing any of that.
I enjoyed Viggo and I liked him and Tallulah together, both as friends and then more once their chemistry hit a breaking point. I liked the variety of tropes, and thought they were balanced out well between characters. The fact that Tallulah was the grumpy, jaded/cynical character to Viggo's romance loving sunshine self was a fun twist on the norm, and I really enjoyed that. The ADHD and diabetes rep were a nice add and I was happy to see both in the story.
I probably won't go back and read the others in this series, but I will read future books by this author.
I still can't believe this series is over! And what a way to finish it off, with hopeless romantic Viggo Bergman and the woman who is his complete opposite in every way. I never could have predicted the personality of Viggo's love interest because Viggo always felt like the character who kept parts of himself locked away. In the previous books, he plays a very big role in matchmaking for his siblings, which is why having his book be last was the perfect decision. Not only did he not take any of his advice that he loves to dole out to his siblings, but he actually struggled a lot with his feelings. I loved seeing how he navigated that with Tallulah.
Another great book by Chloe Liese! This is the first book from the Bergman Brothers series and now I'm excited to go back and read the others!
I loved Tallulah and Viggo's connection. The way they knew each other from college and the way they fell for each other made for a great storyline.
One thing I really loved and appreciated was the inclusivity in the story. Representation for mental health, and diabetes was great! I really like that she puts so much inclusion in her books and it's obvious that a lot of research and work goes into the accuracy of the representation.
Reverse grumpy/sunshine was a fun time in this one! Such a fun switch up from the normal.
Only and Forever was the best ending to the Bergman brothers series that I could have ever asked for. Finally getting Viggo’s happily ever after was worth the wait. I was unable to put it down and it frequently had me kicking my feet. Tallulah was a perfect match for Viggo and I’m also a sucker for a story about opening a bookstore (slash dream small business). As always, Chloe Liese makes sure to include diverse representation and highlights the importance of understanding and respecting chronic illness. Especially invisible illness. Great beach read or cozy comfort rom com read.
Thank you to Berkley Romance for the review copy!

The Bergmans are a close knit family, so you will see a lot of the previous couples and allude to their story, so I think they are best read in order. Book 1 was a little slow to me, but book 2 is one of my favorite books that I’ve ever read, so they are worth your time, and I’ve loved the rest of the series! All of the romances are slow burn, but I feel like they burn slower as the series goes on - so keep that in mind!

I put this book off for months because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the Bergmans!
Viggo might be my favorite Bergman. I love when the MMC is given characters more commonly given to FMCs, so a romance novel obsessed MMC is absolutely my kind of man. I loved that he always smelled like cinnamon sugar to Tallulah. Talk about a cinnamon roll MMC! I also love it when the FMC is given traits more often seen with MMCs. So I loved that Tallulah was a thriller writing romance cynic.
If you loved the part in The Hating Game where the FMC realized that he painted his bedroom walls the exact shade of her eyes - there’s a moment you’ll absolutely love in this one!
Lately, it feels like recovering from childhood trauma or the loss of a parent seems like a really common trope, so any time we get to see Mom & Dad Bergman, it feels like such a treat!
🎧 I love this duo, and that they narrated almost all of the books together!
Did I really just finish the Bergman series? Say it isn’t so!!!!! I’ve officially finished one of my favorite series of all time and I’m a complete wreck. The Bergman family is one of my all time favorite fictional families. I was equally ecstatic and heartbroken for this book because it meant the conclusion to this incredible series and family. I could easily read a 10 book series about each individual couple and still beg for more.
This series has meant so much to me as the books have come out. I’ve been intertwined in this family for so long and it hurts knowing there aren’t any more books coming out for this series. I’ve been looking forward to Viggo’s book for so long now and it was everything I hoped for and more. I’ve been longing for him to finally get his happily ever after, and reading his story got me extra emotional because he deserved it SO much.
Chloe’s writing ability is truly stunning and heartwarming. Reading any of her books feels like coming home, and this series especially feels like home. I will forever and ever reread this series and scream from the rooftops that everyone needs to read these stories. The diversity and inclusivity of neurodivergent characters is incredible and Chloe writes everything so beautifully.

A great finale to the Bergman Brothers series! This book took me way too long to read as I didn't want the series to be over, but this story felt like such a homecoming seeing everyone all partnered and having families. I also really enjoyed the Viggo and Tallulah dynamic and how it played out!
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!
I think I suffered a great deal because I read this book as a stand alone. I think readers who are super familiar with this series will enjoy this a whole hell of a lot more than me.
I liked the twist of the hopeless romantic male MC and the cynical, tough female MC. Obviously, we see a lot of the opposite in romance, so I was hopeful for a stand-out story. Alas, I was underwhelmed. Even with the forced proximity trope, I wasn't loving the story. It felt kind of boring, and it took me awhile to push through.
Props to the diabetes rep and the ADHD rep, and it was a nice and easy romance, but nothing special, IMO.
What a perfect ending to this series! I've been excited for Viggo's story since I first met the Bergmans and it did not disappoint. His character was well crafted, but Talullah's was not overtaken by him, she definitely held her own. It was a great level of conflict and of appearances by his family, while still focusing on the main couple. I'm so happy that this series exists.
Chloe Liese has such a way with writing about neurodiverse characters. She is in tune with the nuances of different issues like ADD, OCD, anxiety, etc that make you truly relate to the characters she writes. I will read anything she puts out!
Grumpy FMC meets Sunshine MMC? Absolutely yes. The diabetes and ADHD rep was stunning. I’ve been waiting for Viggo’s story since I first met him and this did not disappoint. His romance was last but not the least and it just moved me to tears, I love love love him so much. I'm really sad this series has to come to a close but I’m definitely excited for everything else Chloe comes out with!
A perfect ending for the Bergman brothers. A sweet, sensitive story told through two characters who truly help one another grow and learn. Their strength with each other and themselves is beautiful. So sexy and romantic.
Every Bergman book feels like coming home, and this was no different😭.
If you've been with this family from the first book, you know that Viggo Bergman is the family romantic. He loves all things historical romance and is the first one to champion his siblings' relationships. Ironically, love has not happened for Viggo, and he hopes that one day soon his happily ever after will show up and change his world.
Tallulah is the exact opposite of Viggo, which is what made their journey much more special. Whereas Viggo is the romantic, Tallulah is a thriller author, whose experiences with love included growing up with toxic parents who constantly got married and divorced just to repeat the cycle and her own relationships that have gone south when she wasn't able to commit beyond a physical relationship. These two reconnect at a time where they need support, Viggo with his bookstore endeavor, and Tallulah with writing her second book that encompasses a romantic element.
So what happens next? After being kicked out of her last place, it makes perfect sense that Tallulah become roommates with Viggo, leading to their lives being intertwined in ways that lead to love before either of them can say the words. I loved watching Tallulah go through therapy and face her fears associated with love. She wanted a relationship with Viggo, but she wanted to give him all the love he deserved. Likewise, Viggo had to let go of what he thought was the ideal relationship, and accept that life doesn't always present itself in a storybook fashion. Love takes time, effort and two imperfect people willing to do the work to make their relationship grow, and that's exactly what these two did.
Of course, catching up with the Bergman family was as nostalgic as I thought it would be. It's bittersweet seeing everyone with their families, knowing that this is the last book. I have enjoyed seeing every single sibling find love, all while having the unconditional support from their family to help them flourish. Viggo and Tallulah were a great way to end the series, but I’m still so sad it is over!
Thank you so much to Berkley for my ARC in exchange for my review!
I can’t believe I just said goodbye to the bergmans forever!!! Viggo was the perfect sibling to close out the series. Our romance obsessed bookworm finally found love. The ADHD and Diabetic rep were fantastic. I absolutely loved viggo and Tallulags romance and watching them grow as a couple
