I was not ready to say goodbye to this family. And While Chloe did it in the most gentle way possible, I am still unwell.
Viggo’s book is everything we’ve been waiting for and so much more. It’s just so him. So him, while we continue to learn who he is and what he’s been up to and where he struggles.
I’ve always loved Ren and Frankie the most, but Viggo took the top spot. I identified with him so much it was like holding a mirror up to my brain and reading it verbatim, his thoughts about love and romance, and wanting something so specific that you don’t know what it is until you feel it. I highlighted so many passages from his POV that just resonated with me to my toes.
Tallulah was completely unexpected in the best way. She’s strong and independent and completely fucked up in her ideas about love. She’s his perfect project to convert to his ways but all he wants is to love her and care for her.
Watching these two circle and pine and give so much of themselves to each other, while trying so hard not to fall was agonizing and beautiful. And in true Chloe Fashion I was in tears for the last 25% of the book.
This is the end of the Bergman series but these character will always be a safe and loving space to return too when you need them, forever.
Thank you Chloe Liese and Berkeley Pub and NetGalley for the advanced copy, all opinions are my own.
P.S Be sure to read Chloe acknowledgments at the end and have the tissues ready.
The conclusion to the Bergman Brothers series is finally here and will romance book lover Viggo finally find his happily ever after in the grumpy author who doesn't believe in romance? Viggo has always dreamed about finding his soulmate, about getting his happily ever after, and after seeing each one of his family members get theirs' he is desperate to find his. He's always been able to charm everyone... everyone except for Tallulah Clarke, the chilly cynic who is uncharmed by Viggo. Tallulah doesn't believe in love, she's seen what its done to her parents and she wants no part of it, too bad her next book requires she write a actual convincing couple and she's got zero experience with love and has writer's block. Tallulah needs help writing and who better to help her than a romance book lover like Viggo. Viggo is opening up his own romance bookshop and desperately needs help running it so Viggo and Tallulah come up with an agreement, she will live in his flat and help him run his store while he helps her write her book. Yet for two polar opposites, there is an undeniable attraction between them... but can they make it work when one of them doesn't believe in love and the other only wants to find his true love? This was a cute way to end the series and was heavy on the romance book lovers theme. The story is perfect for fans of grumpy cat x golden retriever, doesnt believe in love x believes in love, and grumpy x sunshine trope lovers out there. I have always loved and appreciated the representation that Chloe puts in her series and the authenticity and care she puts in conveying the struggles of these characters and their growth. This series has and will always be dear to my heart because of how beautifully written each of the love stories were and I was so happy we got to see Viggo's happily ever after.
*Thanks Netgalley and Berkley Publishing Group, Berkley for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*
Dare I say, this was the best book of the Bergman Brothers (siblings) series. Viggo and Tallulah are perfection. I cried so hard through the final few chapters because it was such a perfect ending. Must read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
While I’ve read the author’s Wilmont sisters series, I haven’t read any of the previous books in this Bergman Brothers series. While this made some of the family scenes a little confusing since I wasn’t familiar with all of the characters, this book can still be read as a standalone.
This is a very sweet grumpyxsunshine romance between a prickly thriller author and an absolute golden retriever of a man who is obsessed with romance novels. I appreciated the communication between Viggo and Talulah, even though it’s clear that it didn’t come easy to either of them, and the Type 1 Diabetes and ADHD representation. The sheer number of Viggo’s hobbies/talents required a bit of suspension of belief on my part 😆 I would have loved to have learned more about the origin of Viggo’s love of romance.
Thank you to NetGalley, Chloe Liese and Berkley for proving me with an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review!
3.5 stars!! A beautiful conclusion to the Bergman Brothers series. I had been waiting on Viggo’s book since the beginning as the certified lover boy of the Bergmans. I think I wanted a little bit more sunshine and giggling my feet but the slow burn was too slow for me. 😫 He’s very “man written by a woman” coded to the point where I had to say bffr? And the plethora of nicknames for Tallulah was… a lot! HOWEVER as a fellow ADHD-er I’m happy to see positive rep. No one does chronic conditions/illnesses and mental health representation like Chloe Liese. And I’m always so thankful her stories exist so people can feel seen and loved in romance. I loved the cameos from the entire crew and how supportive they are as a family! I think I enjoyed that more than the romance? So fans of the series are in for a treat but I’m not sure if it would be a standalone I’d recommend.
Thank you so much to Netgalley, Berkley Romance, and the author for this arc! Only and Forever comes out 4/2/24!
I've enjoyed the entire Bergman Brothers series by Chloe Liese, but Only and Forever has been my favorite.
All Viggo Bergman wants is to find "his person". He has been searching for the love of his life for years and is feeling discouraged that he hasn't met them yet. Enter Tallulah Clarke, a woman who does not believe in love after years of witnessing and being affected by the toxic relationship between her parents.
Viggo and Tallulah agree to help each other with projects they are struggling with, but insist that they will just be friends. This is a true slow burn romance, and my favorite thing was how these two openly communicated with each other every step of the way. They showed so much respect for the feelings of the other person. It was beautiful to read and even made me tear up at one point. What a wonderful end to this series.
I want to thank Netgalley and Berkley Publishing for the eARC of this book.
I truly can’t find enough words to express how absolutely perfect this book was and how much I loved it. I haven’t been able to stop crying, not only because of how much it made my heart soar, but because the series is now over. What a perfect way to wrap up the most perfect series.
A great read, the story of Viggo and Tallulah. Bingo is a romance book reader and has helped all his siblings find their happy ever after, so will be finally get his own? I loved this book!
It’s a room-mance for the books in this tender, steamy story about unexpectedly finding love and being brave enough to let it revise life’s narrative in the final book in the beloved Bergman Brothers series.
The final Bergman Brother Book has concluded, and it did not disappoint! Viggo Bergman is such a precious main character. He is so in touch with his feminine side and I love it. The chemistry between Viggo and Tallulah is fire from the beginning, even when both characters deny it. I also felt like this was the steamiest of the books. Tropes include Forced Proximity, Grumpy Sunshine, ADHD Representation, and Dual POV. There are a lot of inclusivities here. Tallulah has type 1 diabetes, Viggo is neurodivergent, and both main characters have mental health journies and openly discuss therapy. The best part is this is a book about books and book people. Viggo is an aspiring bookstore owner and Tallulah is an author. What is not to love!? People who read romance often are told their expectations are too high, or unrealistic, and this book did a beautiful job showing how that is not the case and sometimes what people need is a little romance or grand gesture moment!
I've enjoyed reading about this family in all their diverse goodness and I feel like as this series comes to a close, I'm leaving behind a bunch of friends. I would definitely recommend this series as a whole!
Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review. This book releases 4/2!
I cannot believe that this is the last book in the Bergman Brothers series. In have loved being in this world so much. This will forever be one of my favorite comfort series. I am not over how much I loved finally getting to be able to read Viggo's story. I mean talk about the most precious man. he is just doing all of the things and I am proud of him. Tallulah was so easy to fall in love with too. and I felt like the chemistry and connection that they had to each other was fantastic seeing them help each other out and then falling in love with each other felt like such a gift. I loved of course seeing all of the rest of the family. I just adore all of them. such a fantastic ending to one of the best series..
To say that the first 3 books in the Bergman Brothers series saved my sanity in 2020 is not an understatement. The complexity of heart, humor, and heft coupled with authentic representation, strong family dynamics and an HEA was exactly what my pandemic riddled heart needed.
This has remained true through all 7 books including the final installment- 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 I loved it. No notes.
While I'm sad the series has reached its conclusion I take solace in the knowledge that I can, and already have, returned to the A-frame when my heart needs a boost. I can re-read the meet-cutes. I can put hand-to-heart during grand gestures. I can laugh at the Bergman Brother Summits. I can sign with utter contentment at every declaration.

The entire supporting Bergman cast
And Chloe.
THANK you.
NOTE: I own the first 6 books with the original covers and now Berkley has picked the whole series up (yeah! Wider distribution) and has re-released everything with new covers. Am I irrationally annoyed? YES. Is this a totally inconsequential reader problem? Also yes.
Me: I don't think I'll read this one cause I haven't read the others
Also me: binges this in less than a day and proceeds to OBSESS over it.
Oh what a joy! What a wonderful, marvelous JOY of a book! Viggo and Tallulah you have my HEART AND SOUL. Viggo you hopeless romantic and beautiful human, I'm really glad you got your happy ending and that I got to start my Bergman journey with it! I want to give you the biggest hug my boy you deserve it all.
TALLULAH! WE ARE THE SAME. Girl who thinks love will never happen for her and doesn't believe in it? Check. Her character gave me so much hope and strength. I love her. She is my girl.
The COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THEM!! This is how adults behave! The representation, the love, the joy! What a beautiful love story and a beautiful ending to a series that is so loved by many.
The finale of this wonderful series! I just discovered these books late last year after receiving an ARC of With You Forever. Since then, I’ve read a couple of the others and I was excited to read this final one! This one wasn’t my favorite, but I did think it was a really sweet way to end the series. I really enjoyed the representation and characters throughout these books, and will definitely check out more of Liese’s books in the future.
5 stars aren't enough! I have adored this series so much and what a lovely way to end it all. Viggo has been such a large part of each siblings journey so far. I was so excited to finally get to his love story. Lula was such a perfect match for him. Watching them grow together and learn to drop their guards was a delight. This series and family have been a blessing. Each little moment we got with the former couples was a joy.
The most massive thank you to Chloe. Not just for this series but for making sure readers with ADHD and/or diabetes had access to ARCs for this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Look, Chloe Liese can basically do no wrong in my eyes. She writes her characters with empathy, relatability, kindness, and life lessons for all of us. She has a way of making you feel seen, even if you don't exactly deal with the same obstacles as her characters.
Viggo and Tallulah discover not only each other, but their true selves by their vulnerability and desire for love. The overcome inner beliefs to find each other and NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP.
A beautiful wrap-up to a series I could not love more.
Don't talk to me, I'm EMO.
I have absolutely loved reading this series and falling in love with these characters. Chloe did such a fantastic job with writing this ending and tying up all of the loose ends. I truly didn't want it to end, but it was perfection.
First and foremost, I related to Viggo WAYYYY too much. He is me and I am him. I was rooting for him and Tallulah from the beginning and I loved their growth throughout this book. I absolutely loved all of his quirky graphic t-shirts and his hopeless romantic attitude. The banter between them was top tier and the tension was IMMACULATE.
This was such a great example of effective communication within a relationship! I loved that these two met each other where they were with their respective traumas and personal lives. I just wanted to give both of them a huge hug and tell them that they are so loved and perfect just the way they are.
The constant Bergman family cameos and meddling throughout the book were EVERYTHING to me. I loved a particularly tender moment with Talullah and all of the Bergmans' significant others. I also SCREAMED when Viggo was ambushed finally by his brothers.
Overall, I truly can't say enough about this and I annotated soooo many passages throughout the book.
Thank you Berkley Publishing, Chloe Liese, and Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you so much to Chloe Liese and Berkley for this Lived Experience ARC of Only and Forever! I could not be more grateful to have been given early access to the final book in the Bergmans!
This book may have been *the* most anticipated read of the year for me, and it did not disappoint in the slightest. After watching Viggo grow up through the previous six books, and seeing his personality shine, I couldn't wait for him to have his own love story, and couldn't imagine a better pairing than him and Tallulah. The ultimate grumpy/sunshine pairing, with queer and neurodivergent rep, and the pinnacle of romance - only one bed - this book was truly a delight from start to finish, and an excellent wrap up of the series as a whole. Did I sob hysterically? Yes. But was it the perfect ending for the characters we've grown to love for years? Absolutely.
It's no secret how much the Bergman Brothers series has meant to me. From the moment I first picked up Only When It's Us early in 2022, I knew this series was going to be special, but I had no idea how dramatically it would change my life. Reading Chloe's characters has taught me so much about myself and the way I interact with the world and dream and love. From the day I cracked open Willa and Ryder to reading the very last page of Only and Forever, this series has been such an important part of my life, and it's going to be so strange to not have any more books to look forward to in this series (though I would not complain about a Next-Gen series). I cannot thank Chloe enough for giving the world her words and her heart in these books, for bringing me the friends I've made in the BergFam community, and for being such a kind person in person and on Instagram. I can't wait to read whatever else she has imagined for the future, and to continue to recommend these books to everyone I ever meet, ever.
“Fuck anyone who makes you feel like you’re too much. If they feel that way, they aren’t enough for you.”
If I had a dollar for everyone Bergman book I read (or listened) to in one sitting, I’d have seven dollars. These books have been such a comfort and light as I’ve read them, and I’m so attached to this entire family and their partners. They’re perfectly imperfect, and that’s why I think makes this series so special.
Viggo makes me feel seen. As a person who has been recently diagnosed with ADHD, seeing him struggle with some of the same things I do was so incredible. He’s worried he’s too much for people, which is so relatable. The way his relationship with Tallulah develops is so genuine and natural, and they both find what they need in each other. Viggo is also so worried about what his family will think of him opening his own romance bookstore. He wants to show his family that he is capable and he wants them to be proud of him. In true Bergman fashion, the family is so supportive of him.
Tallulah’s arc is so well done. She has lingering trauma from the way her parents’ relationship was, and it’s kept her away from committing to a partner. The time she spends with Viggo and the Bergmans really opens her eyes to what’s possible. There is such a beautiful conversation she has with Willa, Frankie, and Rooney about coming into a family that is so loving and affectionate. Tallulah realizes she isn’t the only one with these feelings of being unsure about how to integrate into such a close-knit family.
I will forever recommend this series. Saying goodbye to this family is so bittersweet, but I couldn’t have imagined a better ending.
In 2022 I decided to read this series and immediately knew I had a new favourite on my hands. I practically inhaled the first four books, then read book 5 early, which cemented this as my favourite romance series. I read book 6 early too, and was so happy when I also got the chance to read book 7, Viggo's book, early.
While reading the previous books, I've been rooting for Viggo so much. He was one of my favourite side characters, and I was so glad to see him finally get his own book. It was amazing to get to know him even better, but it was just as amazing to meet Tallullah in this book, I immediately loved her so much.
What's impressed me in Chloe Liese's writing is the warmth, the kindness, the acceptance. This is all present here and it's something Tallullah really needs in her life, which is why she works so incredibly well with Viggo.
Throughout the series I've wondered what type of person Viggo would end up with. Not a lot of people would have felt good enough for him, because he's truly so precious. What amazes me is how Chloe Liese has managed in every book to craft the perfect dynamic, find each character a match that's absolutely perfect for them. Each of these romances have been so different from each other, but they all suit the characters perfectly.
Aside from the romance I loved the cosy setting of this book. The A-Frame is featured a lot, Tallullah becomes Viggo's roommate, and of course Viggo opens his own r0mance bookshop, which I would give anything to shop at.
And finally, what makes this series into such a favourite for me are the family dynamics. There was such a good balance here between spending time with all of these beloved characters and seeing how they were doing, and seeing them reach new milestones in life, while keeping the main focus on the romance and not taking away from it.
REVIEW: Only and Forever ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Writing this review is very bittersweet. I was so excited about reading the last Bergman series book, but after reading through it for the last two months, I’m not ready for it to end. I have enjoyed getting to know each of the Bergman siblings and watching them find their happily-ever-afters. Ugh, I will miss reading these books; the Bergman series is probably one of my favorite romance series.
Now, on to Only and Forever, in particular. This was the perfect book to end this great series. Viggo Bergman feels left out being the only one in his family who isn’t partnered off. This especially affects him because he is such a huge romance novel fan. What a great way to end the series with the romantic looking for his happily ever after.
This book perfectly blended the romantic warm fuzzy and some strong chemistry and heat. As always, Chloe makes her characters' relationships so strong. I enjoyed how the main characters had different views on relationships, and neither pushed the other out of their comfort zone. On top of that, even though Viggo was a virgin, he was never pressured into sex or going further without his say-so. There was so much asking each other for consent. Chloe continues sharing different representations for another inclusive romance story. In this book, ADHD, childhood trauma, and diabetes are present throughout the story.
Overall, I really enjoyed Only and Forever as the final book in the Bergman series. Viggo has been the heart throughout the series, trying to set everyone up and help them through their relationship troubles. It seemed he was meant to end the series with his own love story. Only and Forever also makes you feel that everyone’s stories have been tied up perfectly. This book is perfect for romance fans who love a grumpy/sunshine, a second chance relationship, and close proximity.
