Thank you so much to Berkeley Romance for the ARC!!
Overall, this was a great ending to the Bergman Brothers series. I’ve loved this series and every book, and it’s been such a fun ride with these characters. This one was no exception-I really liked Viggo & Tallulah’s story and all the cameos from the rest of the Bergman family.

This series, including this book, is so beautiful with the best, healthily depicted relationships as well as wonderful representation. I’m sad it’s over, but I can’t wait to see what Chloe has next!

All in all, this was a great send-off and I’m so glad I got the chance to read early🫶🏻

No third act breakup + final book in a series + rescue animals!

Viggo is a hopeless romantic. But his life is spirally into chaos, even for someone with ADHD

Tallulah is cynical and cold, and has a massive case of writer’s block for her second thriller novel.

Viggo needs help running his bookstore. Tallulah needs help with the plot of her book. They decide to swap skills & become roommates.

Read if you love…
- forced proximity, roommates
- dual perspective
- workplace romance
- bookstore owner + thriller author
- it’s always been you
- grumpy & sunshine, adjacent
- caretaking
- no third act breakup
- cameos by all previous MCs & Bergman clan
- rescue animals
- last book in a seven book series
- the cutest nicknames

If you’re new here, this is a Bergman Bros fan account. This series is my all-time favorite, and I’m both ecstatic and heartbroken this is the last book in the series.

I devoured it in one sitting because I absolutely had to know what happens, and it was so freaking worth it!

Viggo & Tallulah are everything.

The banter is 10/10.
The perfect mix of melt your heart & the best humor.
The rescue animals.
The Bergman clan & all of their cameos.
The nicknames.

The queer (not explicitly stated, but confirmed by the author) rep was just so good. As someone who is demisexual, I felt so so so seen in Viggo’s thought process and the way he views relationships.

The diversity rep in ADHD & Type 1 diabetes was just so good. While parts of Viggo’s ADHD shows up differently mine, so much of it is the same for me and I felt so seen & so validated.

And oh gosh. So many things I can’t say because spoilers!

If you haven’t read this series, it’s a must read!

Thank you Berkley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I've been reading the Bergman series from the beginning and have enjoyed several of the books in the series, however Only and Forever fell very flat for me, along with the last few in the series.

I loved the Type 1 Diabetes rep. I thought this was handled with great care and sensitivity. It was portrayed authentically and realistically.

The ADHD rep was a different story for me. As someone with ADHD and lived ADHD experience, the ADHD rep felt to me like it was handled with less care and consideration.

Check ins with the family and familiar characters were well done, if out of character for some. Ziggy's relationship with Charlie was surprising, as something that was supposed to have carried some weight for the overall narrative, it felt quite suddenly developed.

Viggo's story has been teased for a while as being in Escondido, only for a very sudden shift back to an area with all of his family around, which seemed like the opposite of what he's been wanting -- to step out on his own and follow his own path. I did appreciate his journey as he learned that real life is different from what he's read in his favorite books and has had to adjust his expectations.

I'm a romance reader. I love historic and contemporary romances, sometimes sports romance, occasionally a fantasy romance...but even as a romance reader there were a few things that felt VERY heavy handed in terms of discussion of romance as a genre.

Overall, is this a good ending to the series? Yes. Was I satisfied by the finale? Yes. Blown away by it? No.

A series I've been reading since the second book published, it was exciting to see the series come to the end, but this feels like a more of a bang than a whimper.

I loved Viggo being called on his shit throughout the book and finding his own path, and I also really love a virgin hero. However, the setting move from Escondido to Culver City felt out of place (he wants to escape his family's expectation, but then moves by all of them?) and his overall character development felt messy. Also, the timeline of this series seems to be all over the place, and Viggo acts less like a 25 year old than more like a bratty child or a grumpy old man. Also, who adopts two dogs and five kittens and doesn't tell their roommate? That plot line feels abandoned, as well.

Some of the final hints at what the previous couples are doing seemed a bit out of character (a couple that did not seem inclined to children is expecting) and I was thrown off by how much Ziggy's friend Charlie was central to this book. I struggled with Talullah -- not her Diabetes rep, which I felt was natural and authentic, but the ways in which her character development and growth happened off page and with relative ease. Also, her enormous financial privilege and wealthy upbringing (not to mention her family dynamics) were glossed over, but that's kind of been a common theme for the entire series.

The first four books in this series remain 5/5 stars for me, but the back half of the series really lost steam.

Chloe Liese closes out the Bergman Brothers series with a smashing slow burn romance!

Viggo has been a central force in all of the other Bergman's books. He's a romance lover, a hopeless romantic, and a bit of a mystery. It's finally his turn to shine in Only and Forever.

Enter Tallulah, a love cynic with a complicated home life and an upcoming book deadline with pressure to perform after the success of her first thriller.

Their attraction is undeniable, but so is the fact that they're unsuited for each other. Now, they're living in close quarters and faced with the reality that the flame of attraction they first felt all those years ago when they met hasn't died down.

A romance story full of learning and love, Only and Forever is a must read.

This is a beautiful way to wrap up the Bergman sibling series. There are all of the things we've come to know and love from Chloe's work with Viggo's 6 siblings: chronic health condition and neurodiversity on page, real emotions grappled with, siblings interfering with each other in funny ways, and love. So much love.

Chloe has once again created a story that reflects her belief that EVERYONE deserves a love story. You will be so happy to finish these books, and yet so sad that it is officially over.

What an amazing conclusion to the Bergman family series that has carved itself in a piece of my heart. It was such a perfect and bittersweet ending to the series. Chloe Liese is the master of creating the perfect book boyfriend and Viggo Bergman is perfection!

Being the romantic and romance lover of the family, it would be ironic and funny that he would the last one to find love but I thought that Talulah was the perfect girl to match Viggo. The grumpy black cat girl that rolls her eyes at romance and is a bit prickly and hard to melt getting melted like a warm soft and sweet cookie that is Viggo. I love how they are opposites attract, yet we get to know where they met, their backstory, the invisible string that always tied them and brings them back to each other; the slow burn, their yearning and pining and being roommates; helping each other; their love language. Viggo is such a caretaker, making sure she’s okay, doing things for her and his inner dialogue?? Hello? I was swooning. A gentleman with a filthy mouth, I’m in love with him. I loved their banter, their wit, the way they admire each other and give each other what the other needs. They are the absolute perfect golden retiever boyfriend and black cat girlfriend dynamic.

As someone with ADHD, I saw so much of myself in Viggo. I just wish I also had a bookstore and tons of animals but I digress. I could laugh How accurate it is to live that way. The best way I could describe it being Jack of all trades, having 100 hobbies and knowing the most random things, losing track of time, it’s nice to be represented in a way that is accurate and being able to see yourself in a character that gets a happy ending. Talulah is also a Diabetic and there is diabetic rep within this book that is so well done so there is Neurodivergent and chronic illness rep and I love that Chloe Liese is such an amazing author that has given stories and made so many readers feel seen through representation of topics that are underrepresented in the romance genre. is I could not think of a better story and better couple to wrap up the series. I will miss them so much, the ending was perfection. Seeing everyone and their journey and how they all end up, I sobbed like a baby! The Bergman’s will forever be one of my absolute favorite series of all time and I will reread it again. If you haven’t read this series, you must and if you have been patiently waiting for Viggo and Talulah, you will pleased that their story is just as epic and romantic and emotional as you’d think and it was amazing.

Thank you so much for Berkeley and Chloe Liese for this ARC.

I have loved just about all of Chloe Liese’s books, especially the Bergman Family. Sadly this one was a big let-down for me. I was really looking forward to Viggo’s story, as I was curious how his love of romance novels came about. I love cinnamon roll heroes like Viggos big brother Ren, but I fear Liese only had one cinnamon role in her repertoire because Viggo just didn’t have the believable depth of character that would make me care about his story. I also didn’t feel the chemistry between Viggo and Tallulah. I kept putting it down and picking it back up, but each time it failed to draw me in.

WOW! The Bergman Brothers books just keeping getting better and better! I have been eagerly awaiting Viggo's story since I started reading these books - he's the one who everyone relied on for romantic advice, so he was more than deserving of his own happily ever after.

This book made me so emotional due to the portrayals of sibling love, Viggo’s struggle to feel like he’s worthy, and Tallulah’s struggle to heal from her familial trauma. Every conversation Viggo and Tallulah had with their sibling(s) was so heartfelt and wholesome. I adored Viggo and Tallulah's individual journeys to accepting that they do deserve love!!

The level of communication Tallulah and Viggo had was incredible. They were so comfortable with each other right away and were able to help each other by sharing where their head’s were at. They had multiple checkins throughout the book to express their feelings and emotions. It was so refreshing!!

I absolutely adored this series, but this book especially. These characters are so relatable and you can’t help root for them!

Thank you Berkley Romance for the advanced copy.

Thank you Netgalley and Berkley for this ARC!

- ending a 7 book series is so tricky, especially with having Viggo instigate so much throughout the first 6. With that being said, I think this book did exactly what it needed to!! The whole family was woven throughout, but they never took the spotlight from Viggo and Talulah.
- as someone with ADHD, Viggo's experiences felt so alarmingly accurate to my own. Liese did an incredible job of showing how ADHD can have such positive and negative effects, from sleeplessness and being self-conscious after oversharing/talking too much to the joy of sharing special interests and creating things like mugs and crochet coasters.
- this book felt like a love letter to romance readers. The constant references to romance classics were so fun to see continued throughout. Pairing that with such an incredible relationship just made this book feel like coming home.
- I loved how Tallulah's character arc played out!! There are times that she's very prickly and harsh, but seeing her take ownership and deal with that was done better than the many other books that try the same thing.
- The tension is off the charts!! It drives the story so well, and there were so many moments that were positively dripping with angst and chemistry.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I was mildly worried about reading the last entry in what has become one of my favorite series (when I most commonly only enjoy an entry or two in a particular romcom series). But thankfully this one kept the consistent quality I've come to know from Chloe Liese's books and tied it up with a nice bow while giving due diligence to the particular leads of this story. Lovely to see progress from along and along in the series plus two leads that are understandable, human, and easy to root for.

Despite knowing all about love from countless romance novels, hopeless romantic Viggo has yet to meet his one true love. Cynical Tallulah doubts true love exists but needs his help to improve the relationship in her latest writing project. The simple plot is enhanced with well-developed characters with full backstories, strong emotional development, and sensitive representation of ADHD and diabetes. Pick up if you enjoy grumpy/sunshine pairings, supportive male heroes, and slow burn romances. This is the last in a series of novels about a Swedish-American family of seven siblings. Newcomers will appreciate the appearances by the other siblings if they start with the first book.

4.5/5
This book was such a beautiful ending to this series. I was so excited to finally get Viggo’s book and it did not disappoint at all! This is a NEED TO READ.

I absolutely loved both Viggo and Tallulah and this book was such a sweet story of two characters that were so perfect for each other. Viggo, the romance reader waiting for his own storybook romance & Tallulah the girl who never really believed in love or that she could be loved. This book is the BEST definition of black cat, golden retriever and I ADORED this dynamic immensely.

And let me say, THE COMMUNICATION GOES CRAZY. This book is for the haters of the miscommunication trope, because I have never read two characters that were better at talking about why they felt and acted the way they do. Every time either of them was upset or something rocky happened the immediate communication and reassurance was there. I loved it, it made me confident that they would be able to get through anything together.

I will be recommending this book and I am now a devoted Chloe Liese fan. As are her other books, the diversity rep is amazing.

Many thanks to @berkleyromance for the free copy of this magical book! Of course, @chloe_liese would send off the Bergman series with a beautiful story emphasizing vulnerability and everyone deserving to be loved - because that’s at the core of the Bergman family.

Throughout six books, Viggo Bergman has watched his siblings stumble (and sometimes go kicking and screaming) into love. He has cheered them on, made them read romance novels, and been the voice of true love because all he has ever wanted is to be struck by that thunderbolt of finding “the one” - and now he’s the only one who doesn’t have it. But he is following his dream of opening a romance book store. Family friend Tallulah Clarke has no interest in love - her parent’s marriage proves love only causes pain. She also doesn’t read romance novels - she writes thrillers. Now Viggo needs help launching his bookshop while Tallulah needs a place to crash and help writing a believable romantic relationship into her next novel. So they make a pact: she will stay in his guest room and help at the shop, and he’ll use his knowledge of romance novels to assist with the book. Over their months together, Viggo begins to realize that finding the one might not be a thunderbolt, and Tallulah discovers that she might be starting to believe in love.

Viggo and Tallulah’s path to love is tentative, tender, vulnerable, and gentile. Liese’s books beautifully portray neurodivergence (Viggo’s ADHD) and chronic illness (Tallulah’s type 1 diabetes) with respect and kindness. Although I am sad to see the series end, it went out perfectly, with every character having a moment to shine and a final trip to the a-frame cabin in Washington state, which has served as the hub for so many elements of the series.

What a conclusion to the Bergman Brothers (and Sisters) series!!!

I don't know how Chloe Liese does it, but she makes me love tropes that I historically do not enjoy. She did it with Ever After Always (marriage in crisis? normally a no thank you from me, but turns out I loved it) and she's done it again with Only and Forever. I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did (because I truly did love it). This book made me laugh and cry and I couldn't put it down (except to do real life responsibilities ugh).

We've seen Viggo in previous books, and he's never been my top Bergman -- but having his POV has turned him into one of my favorites (favorite? maybe?). His struggle with being "too much" for some people and his never ending list of hobbies are a little TOO relatable to me. Tallulah had such a great POV too, and I loved how we really see the efforts she makes to grow and heal. I love that we continue to see previous main couples grow in the background of the story, and I love the rapport that they all continue to have.

Also, this whole series is super refreshing and I love coming back to this little world because they're not like a lot of other contemporary romances (they're better, duh) (in my unprofessional opinion). Like how did this book have so much TENSION and BANTER and PINING with zero miscommunication and no third act breakup??? And also I love how every book includes different disabilities/disorder/body types. I'm sad this is the last book, but I this is a series I'll definitely reread at some point and I'm excited to read whatever Chloe Liese writes next.

Thank you to Berkley Romance for this ARC!

The later Bergman books don't always stand on their own for me, but I liked this as a farewell to the series. It was a deeply funny choice to basically....make Viggo own The Ripped Bodice in LA? Overall, though, a nice conclusion if not one that I would necessarily recommend to someone who hadn't read the rest of the Bergman series.

When I pulled this ebook up on my Kindle, I had to take a moment and pause, take a deep breath, and savor this bittersweet moment of knowing I’m reading the final book of my most favorite (romance) series.

Viggo’s book was not what I was expecting from him, and that’s exactly what made me fall in love with this book right away. I should have known that Chloe’s magic goes way beyond what my imagination can conceive. Seven books later, and I’m still able to be surprised by this family, these characters.

I loved Viggo and Tallulah’s story. I loved the vulnerability and intimacy. The acceptance, inclusivity, and how much love we feel radiating off the pages. I loved how I can say the same about all the previous books, yet they all feel different. Individual. Special.

I also loved getting updates from each of the other couples/siblings. Still close as ever. Seeing how their lives played out warms my heart.

I’m going to continue to live in a world where I believe the Bergman Family is real, just living happily ever after in SoCal and the PNW. Well, they are, in my heart, at least. Forever.

Thank you so much for this ARC, Berkley.

The most perfect, beautiful, sexy, heartfelt, love filled conclusion to the Bergmans series I could imagine.

Viggo was always secretly my favorite brother, and his story was well worth the wait. He was so infinitely relatable, waiting for his perfect happily ever after like the ones he reads about in the romance books he loves so much. Only, when Tallulah comes into his life, he starts to realize that maybe the love story that’s meant for him isn’t as cut and dry as he originally thought.

And Tallulah 🫠 loved her black cat exterior with a bleeding heart beneath. I loved how willing she was to let Viggo care for her, and honestly how easy it was for her to fall for him when she realized she couldn’t live her life without him in it.

I loved seeing all the other Bergmans couples, the expanding families, the kids, the bonds between the siblings. Just everything about this conclusion was perfection.

My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This story started off great for me but then lost a little “steam” only because I thought their relationship was going to fully develop earlier in the story than it did. AKA I deducted a star solely because this was not smutty enough for my tastes 😂

it may be the last Bergman book but trust me when I tell you that Viggo & Tallulah are worth the wait 🥹

✨what to expect:
🐈‍⬛black cat & golden retriever
💙T1D, fat, & ADHD rep
🥵h0rny roommates
📖thriller writer & romance reader
🪴all the feels
❤️‍🔥SO MUCH PINING
😆Bergman family shenanigans

Chloe infuses depth in the lived experiences she includes in her books in a way that makes it hard not to relate, even if it’s just a small amount, to every character she creates. I can’t even begin to describe how happy I was when she told me that Tallulah had T1D because I knew that she would handle that representation with care and love, which is exactly what we get here.

ONLY AND FOREVER feels like the softest and sweetest finish to the series. Viggo really deserves the best of everything and that’s what we see him get here. Tallulah was a delight and the perfect partner for him, I loved watching their love story unfold.
