A wholesome ending to this beautiful series. I loved seeing the characters grow throughout the book. The representation was nice to see, with the FMC having diabetes rep and the MMC having ADHD rep, Chloe Liese made it a point to normalize what can sometimes be stigmatized, which is a good thing.

This would be a nice summer read and a good gift for your trope loving die-hard romance bookish friend!

Finally it’s Viggo’s -the sweetest ultimate people pleaser- book. I’ve been looking forward to his book for so long. He’s the romance reader, the one who was always up on his sibling’s business, the hopeless romantic, and the romance expert. I was interested in seeing how his love story would turn out. And it was really adorable. I loved Talllulah and their reverse grumpy/sunshine dynamic. I loved watching all the family members again. This was just a sweet goodbye to the Bergmans. What a beautiful sweet book to end the series with.

Huge Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing this copy.

The plot was good and I liked how the characters were written. The chemistry between the couple was there from the beginning and I liked how they were different from each other but somehow they complimented each other. The Bergman family scenes were cute and funny.

This felt like a fitting end to the Bergman Brothers series. Viggo, the romance novel loving Bergman brother, is bummed that he hasn't found love like all his siblings (and the protagonists of the hundreds of romance novels he's read) have. Enter Tallulah Clarke, the sister of Ziggy Bergman's close friend Charlie, who Viggo hasn't seen since he had a huge, seemingly unrequited, crush on her his first (and only) semester of college. It turns out that he's still into her after all these years, but he's ready to put his feelings aside to be a friend to her as she tries to work through the challenge of writing a follow-up to her surprise hit debut novel. They come up with an exchange of sorts - he'll help her with the romantic sub-plot of her novel in exchange for her help getting his new romance bookstore up and running. Viggo lives in an apartment connected to the store, and Tallulah is in between rentals, so she ends up moving in with him for 2 months while they help each other out. I like that this plays with a lot of romance tropes, inverting some of the typical gender dynamics in the genre - Tallulah is the grumpy one and Viggo is the sunshine, Viggo the romantic while Tallulah doesn't really believe in love, etc. This had everything I've come to expect from a Chloe Liese romance - representation of neurodiversity (ADHD) and chronic conditions (Type 1 Diabetes), main characters who are stubborn enough to cause a little friction, and lots of interfering from the rest of the Bergman clan. A solid end to a great series, and I'll keep looking forward to Chloe Liese's books.

I once again am so happy to read a book with excellent ADHD and diabetes representation. I've loved watching Viggo and Tallulah's love and friendship slowly grow throughout the series. As with most CL books the vulnerability and growth within her characters is so well thought out and written. I flew threw this book and found it an easy heartwarming & familiar read.

- pining
- slow burn
- no miscommunication
- friends to lovers

Thank you to Berkley for this free ARC in exchange for an honest review

Only and Forever by Chloe Liese
Pub day is 4/2 🎉

The last book in this series!!!! Oh so bittersweet! I cannot imagine a better finale for this cozy, swoony, steamy series. Viggo and Tallulah are so precious!

Tallulah moves in with Viggo to help him open a romance bookstore and he is going to help her with the book she's writing!

You *can* skip around in the series a little easier for the earlier books, but I think for books 5, 6, and 7 you'll just have so much more fun with it if you have more backstory with all of the previous relationship dynamics. So... just head on back to the beginning if you haven't already and enjoy the Chloe Liese Bergman Brothers universe!!

What I've got to say about Only and Forever:
💕 A historical romance reading hero!! Talk about a green flag!!
💕 The histrom "easter eggs" are perfection. He named his houseplants Lorraine, Lisa, and Beverly. One of us! One of us! Viggo mentions Mary Jane Wells at least two times!! (She's one of the best historical romance audiobook narrators!!!) I just love that CL did this!!
💕 Tallulah is a thriller writer that isn't sure she believes in happy endings and he's a hopeless romantic... this dynamic and their journey together is soooo satisfying!
💕 Baggage gets unpacked!
💕 Adhd and T1 diabetes rep
💕 I get just as giddy about a surly, growling hero as the next romance reader, but there's really something about a nontoxic, golden retriever hero that has such a soft spot in my heart. Viggo is a favorite!
💕Tropes include: Opposites attract (he's flirty and boisterous and she's more reserved and a little grumpy) Caretaking, Golden Retriever Energy, Roommates
💕 The other Bergman's meddling and presence is just perfect.

Read this series! You won't regret it!

Thanks so much to Netgalley and Berkley for access to this ARC!

Was so excited to read this but also bittersweet as it is the last book in the series! But I really enjoyed it so much I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the MMC as a love interest but I was so pleasantly surprised. One of my favorite things is the FMC black cat and MMC golden retriever dynamic and this so delivered. I thought they had just great chemistry. Also I love the diabetes representation as someone who has a close family member that struggles with it I found it so well done. Overall it was just a really nice fun enjoyable read and I recommend this series to everyone!

I was excited to jump into Viggo's book. I was intrigued by the man who loved to read romance novels. He loves so big and openly and I hoped that his love story would be explosive. This is one of my favorite series and I wanted it to end on a high note for me. I liked this book, but I didn't love it. Maybe my expectations were too high.

I felt like Viggo and Tallulah didn't have much chemistry. Viggo was a bit too much at times and when all was said and done, his character lacked the depth that I wanted. And Tallulah was not a likeable heroine. I got irritated by her meanness.

This was a slow burn, so if you're into that, you might like this one.

I loved seeing the Bergman clan again!

I have been solid on the fact that Freya and Aiden are my favorite Bergman couple this whole time just for Viggo and Tallulah to come along steal my heart. The FMC black cat x MMC golden retriever set up really does it for me, they were so great together as friends and as a couple. Also THEYRE ROOMMATES and THERES A ROMANCE BOOKSTORE and LOTS OF CUTE ADOPTED PETS.

I was just cheesin the whole time I read the book except the parts where I was in my feelings but even then I still had a great time. It was a great end to the series.

This was so bittersweet, as this is the last book in the beloved Bergman Brothers series. I do have to say, it's a little weird reading about Viggo as a charismatic love interest, since in the perspective of all the other characters, he is such a silly younger brother type. In fact, I was more excited to see his character development as he opens a bookstore and spreads his love of romance novels to the greater California community than watch his relationship bloom. Nevertheless, this book was fun. Are Tallulah and Viggo my favorite Bergman couple? Not by a long shot, but this book still feels light and exciting and is well written. As with all the other siblings, Viggo faces his own struggles with fitting in with his big family. And Tallulah? Well as much as Chloe Liese tried to portray how unlikable she was, and how little she thought of herself at the beginning of the book, at the end, she won me over. As you'll know by the end, she had her reasons.

<B> Thank you Chloe Liese, Berkley and Netgalley for a copy to review. </b>

I have been anticipating Viggo's book since Ever After Always and I'm so pleased I got to read it early. The wait was worth it!!!!!! (Though I'm a little sad that Viggo's secret business wasn't a Cat Cafe dedicated to gluten-free Swedish baked goods.) This book was a lovely ending to a fabulous series. It was full of laughs, Viggo-inspired eye-rolls, emotional tension, and heart-to-heart moments. Chloe Liese might have done the neigh impossible and finished an outstanding series as gloriously as she started it.

Viggo is a hopeless romantic romance reader, with an obsession for historical romance who follows his passion and <spoiler> opens his own romance book store. Squeel. (Chloe Liese are you opening Viggo's bookstore? I'll volunteer as tribute to crochet the costers.) </spoiler> Of course his ADHDness makes it hard for him to fully focus on the things that need to get done instead of getting sidetracked by the thousands of little moving pieces. Lucky for him his little sisters, best friends, older sister.... (did you follow that?) doesn't-believe-in-romantic-love Tallulah needs his help and exchanges her ability to stay on task for his romance expertise. Naturally, shenanigans involving Ashbury, plants, cats, dogs, siblings, baked goods, the rest of the Bergman clan, and lots of books abound.

5/5 Stars
3/5 Spice

Things this book includes:
- ADHD rep
- Diabetes/Chronic Illness rep
- 2nd chance romance (my favorite trope! Though, she had me at Viggo)
- Boy falls first
- mutual pining (dual POV)

Side note: I read this book just after a friend told me about how her son almost went into diabetic shock because he forgot to eat an orange as part of his breakfast that week. That stress that I felt in that conversation with my friend was beautifully mirrored in Chloe Liese's description of Tallulah (as a Diabetic) and her relationship with food.

Only and Forever
(Bergman Brothers, #7)
Chloe Liese
5 ⭐️

First and foremost, a huge thank you to Berkley Publishing Group and NetGalley for the gifted e-ARC in exchange for my honest review. I screamed so loud when I opened the email and saw my five favorite words… “your request has been approved”!

Chloe did it again. Only and Forever was everything I had hoped for and more. I never ever wanted the Bergman series to end, but Liese gave us the sweetest, most perfect conclusion to one of the best series I have ever read.

Viggo and Tallulah’s story was pure perfection from beginning to end. I loved these two with my whole heart. He is the absolute sweetest with his romance books/bookstore, his baking, and the plants with names. I loved his soft and vulnerable side so much. She was the perfect grump to his sunshine, and I totally adored her. She was so relatable and I could see parts of me in her.

Watching these two come together, taking risks, being vulnerable, being intimate… it was all just so beautiful.

And the ending… made my heart so damn full.

“Home is not a place. Home is . . . this.” She glances around the table. “Our hearts, our love, knitting us together, wherever we are. Wherever life takes you, may you know you have a home in our hearts, and may your hearts always be each other’s home.”

What I loved;
💛 Friends To Lovers
💛 Forced Proximity
💛 Grumpy/Sunshine
💛 Slow-Burn Romance
💛 The Bookish Elements
💛 The Vulnerability
💛 ADHD/Type 1 Diabetes Rep
💛 The Bergmans

Pub date: 4/2/24. I wholeheartedly would recommend. The Bergman Family will FOREVER live rent free in my head and in my heart. I already can’t wait to go back and start re-reading from the beginning.

I can't believe The Bergman Brothers series is over!! Chloe Liese always writes the most perfect, heartwarming romances. and Only and Forever was just that! Viggo and Tallulah were so adorable together as they became roommates and business partners for Viggo's romance bookstores. I loved the tension between them as former college classmates as well. The discussions of having type 1 diabetes, ADHD, and inexperience with romantic intimacy were also so thoughtfully handled.

The final chapters of this book were so bittersweet to read about! It was so great seeing all of the Bergmans get together with their loved ones and close this final chapter with their family. I'm going to miss these characters so much! I'd give this book 4 stars overall.

I didn't love this one as much as the other Bergman Brothers books, which is too bad because I really like Viggo as a character. But maybe I prefer him as a supporting character, rather than the main guy? You get a lot more insight in his character in this one, with his ADHD and his need to be constantly doing everything, but it wasn't clear to me why he had become so infatuated with Tallulah in college. Tallulah was a fun character, but her growth and decision to accept and believe in love didn't really work for me.

I did appreciate the idea that love doesn't always work the way that we see it in romance novels -- that's a lesson for all of us.

Only and Forever showcases the Chloe Liese I have come to know and love! Not only did we get deep insights into Viggo's character with some great surprises along the way, we also got to revisit all of our Bergman faves. Talullah was Viggo's prickly foil in just about every conceivable way but they were so well matched the reader could hardly help but kick their legs and squeal while these two were slow burning themselves into their Happily Ever After. While I would love this series to go on into infinity, I can honestly say this was an amazing and satisfying conclusion to the Bergman series.

ALL THE STARS!!!!

I am actually so sad that this is the last book for the Bergman family!!😭I started this series back in 2022 and this family feels so REAL to me. Chloe has a way of writing her stories that makes them all feel unique and different but with the same vulnerability and inclusion. It’s a true talent!!

This book was no exception because from the first few pages I was already in love!!!
Viggo and Talulah’s had such a true understanding of each other, to their CORE.
Viggo is a hopeless romantic, reads romance books and is waiting for “the one”. And Talulah is his complete opposite, sworn off love and emotions. viggos character growth and realizations that life isn’t a perfect fairytale, and Lulahs determination to work on herself had them meeting each in the middle emotionally😭😭they were so open and honest with each other. I loved the gradual closeness and relationship they built. No miscommunication for these two!!! Cause they trusted each other fully. Ugh they’re so beautiful and loving I LOVE THEM.

And as always Chloe has the most wholesome inclusive feel good intimate story!! That’s my favorite part of her books. In her acknowledgments Chloe says “Some might say this isn’t very realistic. To which I say, I’d like it to be, and this is why I write.” And it’s TRUE!!! These stories make us question why a family like this, that’s nothing but kind, seems so far out of reach. I’m an honorary Bergman at heart and while I’m sad this series is over I’m so happy I got to experience it💞💞💞

I feel very blessed that I was able to read the arc for this, tysm Berkeley!!🤍

I’ve said before and I’ll probably say it again, but I truly don’t know how Chloe Liese keeps writing my favorite book! The Bergmans are so special and I can’t believe this is the end. But Viggo’s story was the perfect ending to such a sweet series. As always Chloe wrote these characters with so much love and care. Viggo and his ADHD and Tallulah and her diabetes were written so well.

Viggo and Tallulah felt SO SPECIAL and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that they were last, for me at least. But their soft and slow friendship turned to love was so tender and careful and written so beautifully. There was a lot of tension, and longing, and PINING, and confusing thoughts and feelings. But they communicated so well, even though Tallulah specifically had a hard time with that. Viggo was so patient and kind with her!! And they were GOOD together. Chloe knows how to write a slow burn and once again this was PERFECT. The forced proximity and the way they were contracted to each other made everything SO GOOD.

Viggo is the SWEETEST. The romance books, and the baking, and the plants, and the pottery?! And the fact that he always has on a shirt shouting about how much he loves romance books. I LOVE HIM. But how soft and vulnerable he is, and how much he struggles to see his success for what they are was hard. But watching everyone always show up for him, Oliver being able to help him without needing to be asked 🥹

Tallulah is a girl after my own heart. She has taken care of everyone her entire life, and she doesn’t need anyone to do it for her…until Viggo just starts doing things for her because he wants to?? She does not believe in love (the EXACT opposite of Viggo) and she is sticking to it! And I loved watching her figure out that it’s okay to love, that it’s okay to open up to people, that people are automatically going to let you down.

I love this series so much. This family is my absolute perfect. I love seeing them all together in their daily lives just being there for each other. I loved seeing ‘the dysfunctional side of the Bergmans’ come together 🥹 I want so so much more them.

Thank you to Berkley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!!

Thank you to Netgalley, Chloe Liese, and Berkley Publishing Group for this advanced reader's copy of Only and Forever in exchange for my honest opinion.

As always, Chloe Liese delivers a wonderfully written romance novel with nods towards neurodivergence and autoimmune diseases. Seeing the inclusivity in her novels has been refreshing and engaging, something I will miss greatly from her Bergman Brothers series.

The final installment of this series, centering around Viggo, the Bergman brother that introduces everyone he can to reading romance novels. So why hasn't he found his one true love yet? Even after meeting Tallulah he chalks up his feelings about her to being lust and purely physical and not the budding feelings of love. But the more they spend time together, him helping her with her book, her helping him with his bookstore, he starts to wonder if it's more than just her curves and cuteness he's into. It doesn't help that Tallulah starts to look at him with more feeling the longer they live together.

This was a wonderful ending to a great series. I'll miss the Bergman clan immensely, but have enjoyed Liese's other books in the meantime. I'd love to see another longer series about another family in the future.

Only and Forever is the seventh and final installment of the Bergman Brothers series. Viggo and Tallulah’s story features the forced proximity/ roommates, friends to lovers, workplace romance, and grumpy x sunshine tropes. Themes and topics present include diabetes, self doubt, divorce, love and heartbreak, ADHD, family, communication, fear of failure, appearance versus reality, romance, and intimacy. I highly recommend Only and Forever to fans of books like Wildfire by Hannah Grace, The Wrong Mr. Right by Stephanie Archer, Breakaway by Grace Reilly, Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison, Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood, or any of the other Bergman Brothers books by Chloe Liese.

It was ironic that Viggo, who is obsessed with historical romance books, was the last of the Bergmans to find his own happily ever after but I thought that his story was worth the wait and lived up to my high expectations! I think that fellow romance readers will really love Viggo’s bookish energy; I especially enjoyed all his quirky book-themed shirts and I, of course, loved his romance bookstore (Bergman’s Romance Books & More) – can someone please open this in real life? I think that Tallulah will also be intriguing to fellow bookworms as she is a writer struggling with the concept for her next book. I thought that all Viggo’s cute pets, including 2 rescue dogs and 5 adopted kittens, were adorable and a welcome addition to the story. Of course, I also loved the appearances of all the other Bergman family members throughout the book! Even though this was the last book in the Bergman Brothers series (cue sad tears), I’m hopeful that there could potentially, hopefully, be a spin-off series featuring the next generation of Bergmans (like Aiden and Freya’s daughter Linnea). Lastly, even though there was a fair amount of “will they, won’t they” in Only and Forever, I appreciated that there was no third act break-up (my least favorite trope).

I don’t have any major complaints about Only and Forever. My biggest issue was that a good portion of the plot revolved around Tallulah’s complicated family dynamics and her sister Charlie’s upcoming nuptials; I think that I personally would have preferred if some of this subplot was excluded in favour of more Bergman family content since I love Viggo’s family so much. Additionally, one small thing that I found a tad annoying was that both Viggo and Talullah’s thoughts seemed a bit repetitive to me (e.g. longwinded inner monologues denying or grappling with their feelings for each other).
