Thank you to Berkley for the eARC!
Although this is the last in the Bergman Brothers series by Chloe Liese, this is the first one I’ve read. The entire series can be read as standalone novels, but do have some light spoilers bits about other couples (but any avid romance reader already knows an HEA is coming, so it’s fine!)
This book was immediately compelling and I was into the characters and their dynamic instantly. Viggo is a romance reader, book loving, open-hearted cinnamon roll and I’m not surprised that Tallulah (a “grumpy” non-believer in love who is also a successful thriller author) let down her walls and fell for him. Both POVs are great, I appreciated the diabetic representation and loved the bookstore elements.
I’ll be reading the rest of the series ASAP and I see why these books have been so well-loved! The chemistry, the characters, the spice! This is a great blend of anything you could want in a romance novel.
The final Bergman story! I have enjoyed following this series and appreciate all the great representation these romances have included. One of the elements I most appreciate is that not all the partners have great families. It's a much-needed balance to the perfect Bergman family.
"Only and Forever" is kind of light on personality. Viggo seems very young and his little nicknames had me cringing. Tallulah is okay, but she is so closed off that it's hard to get invested. Their story had a bit of a slow start, but the second half picked up. What didn't work for me was the multiple paragraphs-long love declarations. They are so corny and completely unrealistic.
Certainly not a favorite of mine for this series, but it was nice to see some of the earlier couples again!
Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for providing an eARC for review.
Perfect ending to this series!! Viggo is someone I wanted to know more about the entire series so I’m happy he got his HEA!
I enjoyed both characters backstories and it was fun to see them come together. They are sweet and learning as they go. It was relatable and endearing. Also very steamy!
Viggo is a romantic seeking his own happily ever after; he is struggling with being the only single person left in his family, constantly surrounded by his six happily coupled-up siblings. Viggo is also in the process of opening his own romance bookstore, but becomes overwhelmed with all of his commitments. Meanwhile, Talullah doesn’t believe in romance; she’s a thriller writer struggling with the concepts for her next book whilst helping her sister prep for her upcoming nuptials. When Talullah needs a place to stay, Viggo offers up his spare bedroom, and the pair strike a deal—Talullah will help Viggo with the store while Viggo helps Talullah with her writer’s block. Viggo and Talullah appear to be total opposites, but their chemistry is undeniable. Can Viggo convince Talullah to open her heart to romance?
Only and Forever is the seventh and final installment of the Bergman Brothers series. Viggo and Tallulah’s story features the forced proximity/ roommates, friends to lovers, workplace romance, and grumpy x sunshine tropes. Themes and topics present include diabetes, self doubt, divorce, love and heartbreak, ADHD, family, communication, fear of failure, appearance versus reality, romance, and intimacy. Only and Forever would be perfect for fans of books like Wildfire by Hannah Grace, The Wrong Mr. Right by Stephanie Archer, Breakaway by Grace Reilly, Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison, Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood, or any of the other Bergman Brothers books by Chloe Liese.
It was ironic that Viggo, who is obsessed with historical romance books, was the last of the Bergmans to find his own happily ever after, but his story was worth the wait and lived up to expectations! Fellow romance readers will really love Viggo’s bookish energy, including all his quirky book-themed shirts and of course his romance bookstore (Bergman’s Romance Books & More)—can someone please open this in real life? Tallulah will also be intriguing to fellow bookworms since she is a writer struggling with the concept for her next book, plus all of Viggo’s cute pets, including two rescue dogs and five adopted kittens were adorable and a welcome addition to the story. The appearances of all the other Bergman family members throughout the book was fantastic and even though this was the last book in the Bergman Brothers series (cue sad tears), I’m hopeful that there could potentially, hopefully, be a spin-off series featuring the next generation of Bergmans (like Aiden and Freya’s daughter Linnea). Lastly, even though there was a fair amount of “will they, won’t they” in Only and Forever, I appreciated that there was no third act break-up (my least favourite trope).
The only minor issue was that a good portion of the plot revolved around Tallulah’s complicated family dynamics and her sister Charlie’s upcoming nuptials and personally, I would have preferred if some of this subplot was excluded in favour of more Bergman family content since I love Viggo’s family so much. Additionally, one other small thing was that I found both Viggo and Talullah’s thoughts seemed a bit repetitive to me (e.g. longwinded inner monologues denying or grappling with their feelings for each other).
Overall, Viggo and Tallulah’s story was enjoyable and thought that it was a perfect conclusion to the Bergman Brothers series. Only and Forever (and all seven books in the Bergman Brothers series) is perfect for fans of interconnected steamy contemporary romances.
I can’t believe this series is complete. I think of the Bergmans as close family friends and will recommend and reread to feel like I can spend more time with them. Viggo, the main Bergman character of Only and Forever, is about to get his shot at a HEA. His character is the perfect mix of pining, hopeful, and sexy. Liese’s writing is so self-aware and honest, it makes you believe there is love out there for everyone. I couldn’t put this one down. And I’m heartbroken it’s the end of the series.
this is it… i’ve officially finished the bergman brothers series and i’m a WRECK
this series has been a light to me for the last couple years and i’m so sad to say goodbye but this book?? was the perfect ending. viggo is my favorite brother so i was elated to see him finally get his own love story that he so perfectly deserves. tallulah is a misunderstood character that just wants to be loved and she got the best one to give her that!
my perfect people ugh i’m so :,)
We finally get Viggo's happy ending! This entire series has captured my heart and it is bittersweet to be revieing the final book in this amazing series! As always, there was great representation of chronic illness, disability, and mental health. I loved the grumpy/sunshine trope and how family dynamics were so prevalent in this.
This was another successful book by Chloe Liese and I am truly sad that this series has ended.
A perfect, bittersweet conclusion to my sweet lil baby Bergman family!
Viggo has been such a fun character throughout the past six books and I have been excited for his love story for quite some time. And I got to say, this is not what I would have expected but in Queen Chloe We Trust it was exactly what we all didn't know we needed.
That opening chapter had my heart breaking for our romantic boy holding in his heart love for his family's HEA while oh so sad he hasn't found his person. I loved that we got to explore his romance expectations and see him get absolutely hit over the head with the realization he was in a surprise SLOW BURN ROMANCE. And the love, patience, respect, and COMMUNICATION between Vigga and Tallulah (*fanning myself over sexy communication*).
Chloe also perfectly balanced all the Bergman family cameos and let us peak into each couple's lives without ever taking away from Viggo and Tallulah. The best of all worlds.
10/10 - dare I say I may rank this one in my top 3 Bergman books?
Thank you Berkley Romance for a digital ARC. I've read a couple Chloe Liese books, but this was my first in the Bergman Brothers series. Although I enjoyed the story, I can see how I would have gotten more out of it had I read the previous books in the series. The Bergman siblings along with their partners and kids are all a big part of this story. For those that have read the rest of the series, I'm sure this was a wonderful conclusion for the Bergman family.
Only and Forever is a great character-driven romance where the reader gets to see both MCs go on a journey to discover love in a new way. Viggo is a romantic who loves romance books so much that his dream is to open a romance book store. Tallulah doesn't believe in love because of her past experiences. When the attraction between these two comes together, the slow burn tension is insane. Although I wasn't already familiar with the Bergman family, I appreciated all the love between their close-knit family. As a die-hard romance reader, it was fun to read a book about a romance book obsessed guy. Viggo's romance book t-shirts were the best! Chloe Liese always does a great job with representation in a realistic and sensitive way. Only and Forever includes a MMC with ADHD and a FMC with Type 1 diabetes. I liked this book and recommend reading it, but I do think reading the previous books in the series first is the best way to enjoy it.
Only and Forever is the final book in the Bergman Brothers series. In it, we finally get Viggo’s story. Viggo has been the big meddler throughout the series, staging interventions and pushing his siblings to find their happily ever afters (HEAs), so I’ve been waiting for it to be his turn!
Viggo is such an easy character to fall in love with though. He wholeheartedly believes in romance and HEAs, loves to read romance novels, and even has plans to open his own romance bookstore. The only problem is that Viggo’s life is so busy that he hasn’t had much luck finding his own HEA.
Neither one realizes it at the time, but Tallulah Clarke is about to change all of that. Tallulah is a famous author who is attempting to write a romantic suspense novel, but because she doesn’t really believe in love, she has major writer’s block. Tallulah meets Viggo through her sister Charlie and the two of them immediately hit it off, and hammer out a deal where Viggo will use his romance novel expertise to help Tallulah with her writer’s block in exchange for Tallulah helping him open the romance bookstore of his dreams.
I really enjoyed this journey for both Tallulah and Viggo. As they gradually forge a connection with one another, they also both learn and grow so much. The chemistry between these two is also fabulous, and I loved the moment when they finally realize it too.
Only and Forever has everything in it that I’ve come to love and expect from a Bergman Brothers family. There’s a heartfelt romance, witty banter, just the perfect amount of steam, rep that is handled with care (in this case ADHD and Type I Diabetes) and of course a healthy dose of the wonderful Bergman family.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve been gushing about the Bergman Brothers for months. I love this series so much and while I’m sad that Only and Forever is the final book in, I can’t think of a more satisfying series ending.
This is the finale to the Bargman saga, and I loved it. We spent so much time waiting for Viggo's story, waiting as he helped everyone else, hoping he'd find his One.
One thing I really liked aboutt his book was the way Viggo and Tallulah communicated. They were open and honest and showed a healthy relationship. I appreciated the way they supported one another and accepted one another's differences.
I liked how the family plays a part in the story, but doesn't eclipse Viggo and Tallulah.
Viggo’s book does not disappoint. I really enjoyed this one. This lover of romance so appreciated his open admiration for the often ridiculed romance genre!! He is finally getting his comeuppance for all the meddling he has done in the love lives of his family in the previous books. And all the Bergman brothers (and sister!) do not disappoint in returning the favor.
But even with all the sibling ribbing, this is such a soft book. You really grown to understand and love these characters where they are at, foibles and all. It might be surprising that I call this story soft, because Tallulah, the new roomie, has a lot of hard edges. Her exterior is specifically designed to keep others away: from her blue hair (that she’d told men don’t find attractive) or her insulin port that can be touched.
Love that this is described as a “room-mance” because the close proximity of these characters lives show each of them that they can trust the other. Because while Viggo has been raised in a raucous family full of love and support, Tallulah was not. Love is not a concept she embraces.
These two opposites have the best banter, but what I really loved is how they consistently show up for each other no matter what. This is a total slow burn with lots of small steps to get them to the end goal, if you will, but the trust they have in each other is slowly won.
This one got a teeny bit slow for me in the middle when it seemed like neither of them was moving forward, but the end was so satisfying. Loved this ending for the series and the couple.
I loved the whole Bergman Brothers series and this book was a great way to say goodbye.
I adore Viggo and his love of romance novels. After watching all his siblings fall in love, he finally gets his own happily ever after. Tallulah was the perfect grumpy to his sunshine.
Also...where can I get all Viggo's romance t-shirts?
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the ARC.
A perfect way to wrap up the Bergman Family series. Viggo Bergman has been pushing romance novels on all his siblings since book 1 of this seven book series, and I have been anxiously awaiting his own book. Viggo and Tallulah had such wonderful chemistry and the friendship between the two of them first really sold their happy ending.
Thank you to @berkleyromance for this gifted eARC! I've been hearing ALL about the Bergman brothers series, so when Berkley invited me to this blog tour I knew it was time to jump on the hype train. Luckily the whole preceding series was available on Hoopla!
Only and Forever is the final installment of this seven-book series. Fans have known Viggo for years, and it's so satisfying to see him finally get his own love story. He's the sweetest (I love a man unafraid to read romance books!) so it was well beyond time!
Roommance/forced proximity is one of my favorite tropes, and this series ended on such a high note. As always with Chloe's books, the representation is handled with such care. I love how she makes under-represented readers feel so seen!
I loved this wrap-up to this well-loved series, and know other readers will too.
A big shout out and thank you to the publisher for including me in the blog tour for Only and Forever and providing me with a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
*takes a deep breath*
I have so much to say, but no words to say it. I’m going to quote Chloe Liese who quotes Axel, whose lines Liese wrote: “If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.”
When I started the Bergman Brothers series that fateful day I had no idea what I had been walking into. My every warm wish, thought and want for a book was laid before me in Ryder and Willa’s story and I was hooked. I then, became a part of Chloe Liese’s ARC team and was privy to all her upcoming releases and privileged with the chance to read her books in advance.
Then well deservingly, Berkley bought this series and I could not imagine a better thing happening for the author and this very worthy series. The ARC team was dissolved, but I think I’m somehow tied to this series because I was always lucky enough to acquire an eARC of every single book thus far in this series. I canNOT explain what it means that Viggo’s story is finally here.
I’ve mentioned this before and I’m going to rewrite it because Liese does this in every one of her books. Just like in real life, she shows meaningful glimpses of a character in another’s story and we make presumptions of them based on the little we see, boxing them into who we think they are and how their story will likely unfold. BUT, when it’s their actual story, that’s when we see who they really are. What they’ve been hiding, what they’ve been struggling with.
Exactly like that, Viggo who I’ve always thought was a sorted happy-go-lucky, got everything going for him, romance loving sweetheart is more than just that. He’s just as broken, just as perfect as you are, as I am. Nothing can get me crying as quickly as a Chloe Liese book. It makes SO much sense that Viggo is the last to find love, the ones that are searching for it are usually the last to find it. (Usually.) I loved delving into Viggo’s mind, seeing the world through his eyes and hearing him talk about love. I have never related more to a character than I have Viggo. He was perfect 🥹✨.
This book features a reverse grump to sunshine trope, so our lady Lula (as Viggo fondly calls her, amongst his many other nicknames for her) is the adorable grump. I loved how she was written with rough edges and rigid curves hiding a softer heart than you’d think. The kind of growth that Tallulah displays in this book is so heart moving. The conversations she shares with Viggo, the way they work out their kinks and manoeuver their relationship is so amazing.
The book handles so many different topics, from ADHD to diabetes, to feeling like too much, or being abandoned, emotional pain, trauma being a few. I don’t have ADHD or diabetes, so I checked some reviews and noted the love readers showed for her ability to write rep and how well it was done in Only and Forever too. But, I do struggle with something that requires me to work on myself and be consistent nearly constantly … and watching characters throughout Liese’s series experience struggles as a part of their life while also showing the amount of themselves that they have to give for it… has emotionally wrecked and healed me many times over.
I did a sneaky thing. Viggo’s story may be the last book in the series, but the series isn’t over for me. I’ve held off on reading Ziggy’s story because I just can’t imagine this ending … and baby Ziggy *sniffles*
Five stars. Feel all the feelings people. Start this series.
What a fitting close to this well-loved series. It was a joy to read but bittersweet for this series to come to an end. It was a great twist on the forced proximity trope. Having the characters have complementary skill sets that advantage one another was a great way to display opposites attract on top of just their personalities. It was a fitting end!
I’m crying at the thought that this is the last Bergman brothers book😭 Chloe really delivered on this one with all the cameos and happily ever afters for ever sibling.
I feel like Chloe peeked inside of my brain and wrote Viggo for me!! Viggo’s character was everything that I wanted! HE loves love and desperately wants a HEA of his own but can’t find it. Until he meets the grumpy woman who doesn’t believe in love…
The way Viggo and Tallulah went from frenemies to roommates to friends to lovers BEST SLOW BURN😭 and the way they’re both so protective of each other! I love when the heroine gets protective of the hero and Tallulah doesn’t let anyone hurt Viggo 🥹
They were so precious and I adored the character growth between them. The open communication and relying on each other?? SO PRECIOUS. This book feels like a warm hug and I adored every minute.
The Bergman cameos were the best!! Ren and Frankie? My heart!! Getting to see them all married and happy made me happy. I love this fictional family soooo much.
“Someone’s bossy.”
“I can be. But generally, I much prefer when it’s the other way around.” STOPPP
- Frenemies to lovers
- Roommates
- Type 1 Diabetes rep
- ADHD rep
- mutual secret pining
- no third act breakup
- TONS of Bergman family cameos & shenanigans

Thanks Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC so thankful or this!!
I enjoyed Viggo and Tallulah's love story in Only and Forever by Chloe Liese, book seven in the Bergman Brothers series; a wonderful ending to the Bergman brothers series. Viggo Bergman is the family romantic. He loves anything related to historical romance and is the first one to support his siblings' relationships. Viggo has yet to find his one true love, hoping that one day soon his happily ever after will show up and change his world. Unexpectedly, his love turned up to be his grumpy ex-classmate, Tallulah. Tallulah is the exact opposite of Viggo, which is what made their journey much more special. While Viggo is the romantic, Tallulah is a thriller author, whose experiences with love included growing up with toxic parents who constantly got married and divorced just to repeat the cycle and her own relationships that have gone south when she wasn't able to commit beyond a physical relationship. These two reconnect at a time where they need support, Viggo with his bookstore endeavor, and Tallulah with writing her second book that encompasses a romantic element.
So what happens next? After being kicked out of her last place, it makes perfect sense that Tallulah become roommates with Viggo, leading to their lives being intertwined in ways that lead to love before either of them can say the words. I loved watching Tallulah go through therapy and face her fears associated with love. She wanted a relationship with Viggo, but she wanted to give him all the love he deserved. Likewise, Viggo had to let go of what he thought was the ideal relationship, and accept that life isn't a storybook. Love takes time, effort and two imperfect people willing to do the work to make their relationship grow, and that's exactly what these two did.
Catching up with the Bergman family and seeing everyone with their families, while knowing that this is the last book, was a bit melancholy. I have enjoyed seeing each of the siblings find love, while being unconditionally supported by their family, helping them flourish. Viggo and Tallulah’s story was a great way to end the series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Thank you so much to Berkley Romance, PRH Audio, and Netgalley for providing advanced copies of this book! All thoughts and opinions are still my own.
I'm so sad to say goodbye to the Bergman family! But this was such a fantastic conclusion to the series. Viggo is such a lovable character and I loved every second of him getting his HEA.
As in every Chloe Liese book, this features a cast of diverse characters - chronic illness (Type 1 diabetes) and neurodiversity (ADHD). And all of the discussions were top tier. There is a scene where the heroine breaks down because she feels betrayed by her body after a flair - and HOLY RELATABLE.
These 2 were such opposites and I loved how they complimented each other perfectly. They didn't fall in love is a sweeping, epic manner. But instead got there slowly through talking and learning about one another.
The support these 2 not only showed each other, but their families and themselves, was everything I've grown to love and expected from this series.
I just can't say enough good things about this book and series. I've grown so attached to this wild family and I'm so sad to say goodbye to them. I really hope Chloe Liese gives us more in this world at some point. I would read endless Bergman family stories.
