Y’allllll.
I have been with the Bergmans since the very beginning. I love this family SO MUCH. They are so warm, playful, mischievous, and heartfelt. They have made me laugh and cry and they’ve set my heart aflutter on every occasion I’ve had the pleasure to spend time with them. I freaking ADORE them.
But Viggo?
Ah, man. Viggo was something special. My heart is firmly staked in Camp Viggo and I am beyond thrilled that he was given a heroine who was wholly deserving of – and perfect for him. The sweet slow sizzle of their evolution from strangers (not quite enemies, but definitely not friends), to friends, to lovers was an absolute joy to read. Both of these characters are so beautiful on their own, but together they were some kind of book magic and I was captivated by every moment between them.
I, of course, also loved the family bonding as they continued to show up for each other in hysterical and heartwarming ways throughout the course of the series, and again in this book. This family was so special. I wanted to be adopted by them, to lose myself in their chaotic messy love. I have so much love for this family dynamic and these incredible people. I’m gonna miss them so much!
Only and Forever was an EFFORTLESS FIVE STAR read for me. It was a warm hug, a bittersweet end of the series (only because I don’t want to let them go), and a little bit of romance perfection.
So all this rambling is to say that if you haven’t grabbed this special book yet? GO GO GO!! Your heart will thank you for it.
5 STARS! 🌠
Only and Forever was my introduction to both Chloe Liese and the Bergman family, and I absolutely loved Viggo and Tallulah! These characters were so wholesome that they literally warmed my heart and kept me smiling from ear to ear.
Viggo Bergman has been the brother to pry and meddle into the lives of his siblings, fixing up everyone's HEAs but his own. It is then, when he finally sees Tallulah, whom he hasn't seen since college, again, and she's still the same—closed off and not at all friendly.
Viggo and Tallulah are complete opposites. She's a black cat, and he's a golden retriever. Despite their differences in personalities, these two slowly become friends and share a close intimacy, helping each other when they need it the most. This results in Tallulah coming out of her shell and opening up, allowing readers to not only see her in color but just as brightly as we see Viggo.
Even when I haven't met the other Bergmans directly by reading their personal stories, it's hard not to cherish this family and love their togetherness. They're there for each other through thick and thin, and this aspect of the book was one that makes this family unforgettable. I can't wait to read this series from start to finish and truly experience the Bergman world!!
Honestly perfect. The most wholesome wonderful end to one of my favorite series ever. I'm so happy Viggo got the love he deserved and a bit of the heckling he deserved too 😂
I laughed. I cried. I'm sad this is the end but also overjoyed that I can reread to my heart's content and know all 7 Bergman siblings got everything they could've ever needed.

Chloe Liese is fast becoming one of my favorite authors and with good reasons. Her stories always feature neurodivergent people which is very appreciated and are full of heart and love. This was no different and I loved the match up of Tallulah and Viggo and how they managed to make their own love story that made sense for them. I did feel that the epilogue was a bit too formulaic in terms of how these end but it didn't take away from the rest of the story. Plus it was the steamiest and slowest of burns. A satisfying ending to this author series and the first on in it I read. Which just means I have to go back and read the rest.
The Bergman series has been one of my favorite series since reading an early copy of book one, and I have fallen in love alongside each member of the family as they get a book. Chloe’s writing feels like coming home each time I pick up one of her books, especially this family series. I love how we get to continue seeing the family members in each book, and how they always play such a big role in the story. I’m so sad it’s over, but this was the perfect ending.
I’m incredibly grateful to @berkleypub for my first ever #netgalley approval for this GEM 💎 of a book. The Bergman Brothers series is a #nationaltreasure so if you haven’t read it, you should start immediately.
Only and Forever by @chloe_liese is the final chapter in this amazing series of interconnected standalone romance books centered on Viggo Bergman. Sweet, romantic Viggo: romance bookstore owner, kids soccer coach, and plant daddy. Searching for his HEA that never seems to land! Tallulah is a thriller writer who can’t seem to move past her block…. the two strike a deal; she will help in his bookstore and he will help her with her romance subplot, and they both will temporarily be roommates in Viggo’s place.
I’m such a goner for roommate and forced proximity romances, and this one is 🧑🍳 💋 ❤️🔥. There is also something so GOOD about a golden cinnamon roll hero breaking down the walls of a black cat cynical heroine! In classic Chloe Liese fashion, the banter, steam, Bergman sibling cameos and mental/physical representation is on point making this romance read the full package. You will chuckle, swoon, blush, and fall head over heels in love with Viggo and Tallulah!

the way i loved this book so much. i have been loving the bergman series for years now & it was so bittersweet to read the final chapter. but y’all - it was ✨perfect✨ i adored viggo & tallulah. viggo has been one of my favorites the whole series & our romance loving, golden retriever finally found his happily ever after in the last woman he imagined. a woman from his past that unbeknownst to him, was just as enamored as him at their first meeting despite acting like the black cat she is. tallulah was *everything* - her quiet love for viggo & the way she works so hard on herself to be the kind of woman she wants to be for viggo & herself was so beautiful. their romance is a true slow burn & it fit them so wonderfully. i love her. as always, the disability representation in this book was done so well. i loved how every day she made the issues - like they aren’t just a big moment thing but showing how they shape every day life. just so well done. the ending was absolutely perfect & i loved all our glimpses with the other bergmans & their happily ever afters. 🫠🫠 i just loved this so much. absolutely recommend.
I loved this book, and I’m sad the Bergman series is ending. What a great way to go out though! We finally get Viggo’s story, he’s a die hard romantic who hasn’t found the right woman yet.
Tallulah and Viggo had a college class together, the attraction was there but she doesn’t believe in real love and he changed schools. Fast forward a few years and their sisters are dating and about to be engaged. Tallulah is an author, and a type 1 diabetic, who has a bestselling book under a pseudonym, but she’s struggling with writing her second book. Viggo is secretly working on his dream of opening a romance bookstore.
Their chemistry is powerful but Tallulah has made it clear that she’s not interested in a relationship and doesn’t believe in true love. This is the exact opposite of what Viggo believes, and he won’t have a physical relationship without having strong feelings. They agree that he’ll help her with her book, and she’ll help him in the bookstore. She ends up moving into his spare bedroom, which puts them even closer together than before.
I loved the way Tallulah’s diabetes was addressed, it’s an issue for her but she’s working hard to control it. VIggo has ADHD that was diagnosed as an adult. Both issues are honestly discussed, not sugar coated.
This is a book about true love, and it’s excellent. 5 stars.
Thanks to Berkley Publishing and NetGalley, I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
viggo is a guy who loves love. tallulah is a black cat thriller writer who doesn’t. when she’s needs a place to stay since her sister (and his best friend) is getting married, viggo offers up his extra room. what follows is roommates to lovers, opposites attract, and classic chloe liese slow burn.
viggo’s character was so sweet. everyone knows him as someone who loves loudly, but he feels like he’s too much. he also rescues animals. tallulah is closed off and feels like she doesn’t know how to connect. and the two of them learning to be brave together was such a sweet journey.
thank you berkley romance and netgalley for an arc 💖

chloe liese writes such beautiful, perfectly imperfect, wholly genuine, realistic love stories. they feel like a punch to the gut and a warm hug in tandem. viggo and tallulah were no exception.
this was a book where the relationship had such a genuine friendship that backed up its progression into more. it was founded on a kindred appreciation and willingness to be there for one another, and I find that to be pretty perfect. it was a book where working on yourself is just as important as working towards this loving feeling so it can withstand anything you throw at it. this was a book where forever is a journey that two people are ecstatic to walk together.
This is a steamy contemporary romance book with a tender love story between Viggo and Tallulah. Viggo is a romance book loving softie and Tallulah is cynical about love. Their love story is magical.
Only and Forever is the wrap up to the Bergman Brothers series. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone as this is the first book in the series that I have read. However, it is going to introduce you to a loving and interesting family that you are going to want to read the entire series!
The perfect conclusion to the Bergman Brothers series! Viggo has been such a driving force in the stories of all of his siblings as a romance novel reader, and now the hopeless romantic gets his happily every after.
Viggo had a crush on Tallulah Clark back in college, and now that his younger sister Ziggy's best friend is getting married to Tallulah's sister, they're thrown back into each other's lives as she needs a quiet place to stay while writing her second novel, and Viggo needs some help managing his soon to be open bookstore slash coffee shop. Tallulah hates romance and wants nothing to do with it, Viggo lives for it - what happens when they're sharing a place together?
Viggo's story was so cute and I'm glad after years of waiting for love, he got his happily ever after. I also love all the little updates on his siblings that we get throughout the book - especially Axel (no spoilers but iykyk). I love that there's no third act breakup, and that the romance progressed organically with the "conflict" of sorts having nothing to do with the relationship.
Thank you Netgalley for the advanced reading copy! I have read every book in the Bergman series, since it was self-published by Chloe Liese and what a journey this series is! Liese is one of the reasons I fell in love with romance. She’s so good at writing soft, beautiful, accepting, love romances (and more great adjectives could be used). I think this book should not be read as a standalone, since it really works as the ending to this lovely series. I really enjoyed this book, particularly the female main character Tallulah. I connect with this idea of caregiving for others and not caregiving enough for yourself, and I think the representation of the loneliness that comes with a chronic condition was very true (Tallulah has diabetes). And as always, Liese’s author's notes in all her books make me cry. Her passion is writing romance books to show that everyone, no matter their neurodivergence, chronic conditions, or trauma, should have love. And isn’t that the most beautiful thing ever? Truly the reason I read romance. I recommend this book for fans of this series and Liese (but read the series in order in my opinion), ADHD representation, diabetes representation, and found family.
As usual Chloe has hit it out of the park and got me right in my feels!
I have loved Viggo and his romance reading since we met him. He’s so carefree and sweet and has such great advice. But he also has some struggles and internal battles that he doesn't share. Loved that his love interest was a second chance at a romance! Also it was a reverse grumpy sunshine. The girl is always the sunshine and it's not Tallulah’s fault that she's the grump she just has never been shown real no strings attached love. She is always braced for the rejection or the slap so when he showed up with his golden retriever energy he scared her and put her on high defense. They were both so scared to scare the other off. Omg i loved this so much!!! 😍
Loved their mutual work arrangement and helping each other out. His work project is so perfect for him and he helps her with the romantic side of her project. Loved the close proximity with them being roommates. I squealed when he got his own Bergman Brothers summit. I am so sad that there will be no new books but what an amazing series end.
Especially all the life events happening for the other couples that we know and love. We get to see their established relationships and how they have evolved and grown.
Love the rep in this book and series! Diabetes and ADHD for the MCs in this series. So much rep in this series!
There is nothing I love more than a super solid romance read and the last installment of the Bergman Brothers series is no exception! In Only and Forever, we follow Viggo and Tallulah as they fall into a situationship that soon turns into a relationship. Viggo and Tallulah are polar opposites: Viggo is a hopeless romantic, who wants to open a bookshop but is worried he won't be able to tackle it all due to his ADHD. Tallulah is a grouchy, closed-off struggling author that is trying to finish her novel. In order for both Viggo and Tallulah to be successful, they strike up a deal to help each other, which includes becoming roommates.
To put it plainly, I absolutely loved this book. To be transparent, I haven't read all of Bergman Brothers, and it's okay to read them out of order, but so far, this one is hands down my favorite. I loved all of the emotions and the honesty that both Viggo and Tallulah have with one another and appreciated them being open and discussing Viggo's ADHD and Tallulah's diabetes, which isn't always discussed in books. I devoured this book in two sittings and I'm so grateful for this early copy - I can't recommend it enough!
Viggo Bergman is a hopeless romantic and has spent years waiting for his happily ever after. But he's spending his time opening a romance bookstore, running a romance book club, coaching kids' soccer, and adopting a household of pets. Tallulah Clarke doesn't believe in love, but needs some help with her thriller's romantic subplot. She and Viggo swap skills: he'll talk with her about romance and she'll provide a much-needed extra set of hands for his store. They also decide to co-habitat for convenience. As they start to share their lives they start to learn about themselves and maybe that what they think about love isn't totally accurate.
Viggo has been extremely active in pushing along the love stories in the other books in this series, so this book is a chance for him to finally find his own partner. It's heart-warming to watch him figure out what love is actually like as he and Tallulah spend time together. Tallulah has had a very hard life (read the content warnings!), so she has a lot of growth to do, and the Bergmans are a great support system for her. This family is full of messy, but wonderful, people and their involvement in each story in the series is always a highlight.
I will say, compared to some of the other books in this series, this book has a bit of a slow start. Neither Tallulah nor Viggo are very open so it takes some time to get to know them and for them to get to know themselves and each other. The growth throughout the book was great, but it took time to get there.
Overall, I definitely recommended this book, especially if you've read the rest of the Bergman Brothers series. Viggo and Tallulah are a great grumpy-sunshine combination and they are so supportive of one another. A heart-warming read perfect for reading while curled up with a cup of tea.
📣 a sunshine & the grump contemporary with chronic illness rep & a romance-loving hero
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.
📖 What are your Wednesday numbers? Mine are three pets keeping me up in the middle of the night, one cup of coffee, and one historical romance I started just before bed last night (The Prince’s Bride by Charis Michael’s).
Unlike some of you, I haven’t been with Chloe Liese’s Bergmans from the beginning. I started reading with Oliver’s story, and now I’ve read about three of these very loving siblings.
Despite this relatively recent introduction to the series, I was excited to see who Viggo ended up with. I was pleasantly surprised by the choice: for Viggo, a man everyone likes, we have Tallulah, the woman who’s never seemed that impressed with him.
Only & Forever has a lot of standout traits that will make this book memorable for a lot of readers. Maybe my favorite thing about this book is how Tallulah learns to communicate and to be more considerate of Viggo’s feelings. The brownie scene is such a good moment.
A close second, or maybe even a tie, is seeing the Bergmans all together—all of those HEAs congregated in one loving space!
While I didn’t feel a huge sense of urgency propelling me along the story, I found it satisfying & sweet, & I always admire how Chloe Liese’s books wear their hearts on their sleeves so to speak.
4 ⭐️. Out now!

I'll be honest... I never knew I would fall for a softie the way I fell for Viggo. This was a bear of a man who believed in the magic and power of love. He adored romance novels almost as much as we do and I loved his love of love.
Tallulah was a bit harder to like, but she quickly grew on me. It seems that not even she could resist the powerful allure of the irresistible Viggo. Seriously, who could resist a man who wears his beautiful heart on his sleeve?
"Our love story is the only one I want."
It can only be me who would fall in love with such wonderful characters and such an incredible family by reading the last book of a series. Where was I for books one through six??? I guess I know what I'll be reading next.
The perfect ending to the perfect series. I loved every bit of this, I laughed, I cried, and its everything I wanted and expected from a Chloe Liese novel.
Viggo is quite possibly the most perfect man ever written, and i mean that. I have been highly anticipating his story after his cameos in the first 6 books. He is such a lovable character before even knowing his story, but then you read his story and fall in love with him on each page. I love that HE is the hopeless romantic in this story. He's so real for that. He deserves the world.
Tallulah is that girl !!!!!!! I truly loved seeing her grow as a character. She is so raw and a perfect example of growing up and realizing that you cant always base your life on how your parents live. She is fiercely strong and caring. I think her story is beautiful.
The ROMANCE bookstore owner and the thriller author who doesn't believe in happy endings, I mean yeah that alone is the perfect concept for a novel!!!!! As always the compassion from the characters is so perfectly written. Viggo has ADHD and Tallulah has diabetes. The love and patience they show each other is so important. I loved how they looked out for each other and could depend on each other when they needed it but also when they least expected it. Tallulah setting timers and making sure that Viggo eats inbetween his 1 million projects. Viggo constantly showing up for Tallulahs emotions and showing her she can be loved and cared for, and his gentleness towards her health.
One of my favorite parts of this series is the closeness of the Bergman family and how prominent they are in each others lives. The family dynamic is so sweet i found myself often crying (happy tears) any time the family came around. The A Frame is such a significant part of the series and I am SO HAPPY it was a part of Viggo and Tallulahs story too.
This was everything I wanted and more and I cannot recommend it enough!!!!!
I’m always a fan of a good grumpy FMC sunshine MMC trope and Viggo and Tallulah were a prime example. Viggo was a die hard romantic with ADHD and unrealistic beliefs about what romance looks like outside romance novels. Tallulah was a jaded reclusive writer who thought love wasn’t real. The sparks flew when they became roomies.
Both MCs had their own growth arcs and a growth arc as a couple. They had to learn to depend on others in appropriate ways while understanding they were capable in many other ways.
I liked the diabetes and ADHD rep in the book and, as always, Liese’s insistence that people are not less worthy of love or a less valuable partner because of disability. I’m sad to see the Bergman brothers go, but look forward to future books.
