Well dang, I have a new author with a back list to read through and I'm do looking forward to it. This is a fun, sweet, and hot romance between long-term best friends who never considered the possibility of a relationship, and it came together perfectly!

Gah! The wit, banter and swoons in this story were glorious. Breaker and Lia were both such endearing and fantastic characters and I loved their connection and chemistry. I adored them, and I can’t say enough good things about how their relationship evolved. The romance was perfection. It’s an effortless, slow-burning friends to lovers story with the most easy to love hero and heroine. Fun, lighthearted, sexy, and completely entertaining…Meghan Quinn took it to the NEXT LEVEL with this unforgettable romance!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Friends to lovers brilliance! This book is the perfect combo of sweet, charming, sexy, and funny! I also love the appearances of the previous couples from the series. I honestly don't have much else to say other than I love it!

Steamy scenes that Meghan Quinn is known for, mixed with laughable moments, all rolled into a story of characters we've all grown to love. What more could you ask for? Maybe a 4th book...I'm not tired of those Cane men.
Thanks, NetGalley and the publisher, for providing me with the ARC ebook I read and reviewed. All opinions are my own.

This book was absolutely fantastic!! I don't think the friends to lovers trope could have been executed any better than MQ did it. I am not usually a fan of friends to lovers, but I am a fan of MQ, so obviously I had to read it. This was the perfect finish to this trilogy. Breaker certainly did not disappoint. This was a cute, light read, with a slow burn. I found myself rooting for them the entire time. They were the perfect characters for this trope. Very well written all around. Can we also take a moment o appreciate the new cover?! Ugh! So cute!! Congratulations MQ!! A very special thank you to Netgalley, Bloom, and Meghan Quinn for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Meghan Quinn does it again! Friends to lovers isn't generally one of my favorite tropes but this really delivered. Breaker is such a fantastic character and I found myself instantly rooting for him. This book made me laugh and it made me swoon. I highly recommend everyone give this book a read.

Out of all the Cane brothers, Breaker is by far my favorite! Oh boy, the mouth on that man...

A Long Time Coming is about Breaker and his long-time best friend Lia who meet when they go to a SSS (Secret Scrabble Society). This story takes place years after college when Lia is getting married to her boyfriend, Douche. Sorry, I mean Brian. Breaker, dealing with having to take some time off work decides to help Lia plan her wedding since it is taking place in 5 short weeks. What Breaker doesn't see coming, is how he would react when he sees Lia in a wedding dress. And what Lia doesn't expect is how much she is realizing she doesn't want her relationship with Breaker to change once she is married. So what happens when you slowly start to figure out that your best friend in the world is also the person you want to spend the rest of your life with? Are Breaker and Lia willing to take that leap of faith and risk their friendship for love?

Meghan Quinn is the queen of romantic comedies. All of her books leave me laughing non stop while also hot as all hell. And boy the fire between Lia and Breaker is STEAMING! The Cane brothers are some of my favorite characters of all time. The mouths on these men, dear lord! Breaker being the youngest and the nerd of the group, you would not expect the words that come out of him but holy crap. YUM!

I would like to thank Meghan Quinn, NetGalley, and Bloom Books for this advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review of this novel.

This book is aaammmmaaaaazing! I’m a fan of Meghan Quinn generally, but this book? These two main characters? They are phenomenal! Sometimes the best-friends-to-lovers trope can cause me stress, because it’s a little too relatable to how my husband and I got together, and the angst of that struggle is REAL! (It’s all good now, though!!)

I really appreciated how the main characters truly, over ten years, never even dipped their toes into an attraction to one another. Even though it is perfectly evident to the reader, AND all of Breaker’s family/friends, he didn’t even recognize he had romantic feelings for Lia until she’s trying on wedding dresses for a marriage she’s rushing into.

Poor Lia is still trying to adjust to life after her parent’s deaths, so she’s not in control of much. She’s not happy, but is trying to make everyone else happy. One part that I especially loved was when Lia attended brunch with Breaker at his brother’s house. I loved that Breaker’s brothers and their wives all congratulated her on her engagement, even though they all really knew it wasn’t the right move. They were loving and supporting her. Sure, they could have confronted her about it, but I really feel like that would have made her character dig in deeper, and work harder to make her fiancé and his mother happy. Because these people loved Breaker, they loved Lia, and wanted to support her the best they could!

Speaking of her fiancé’s mother. Wow! What a piece of work! If you’ve ever had an ultra-controlling family member, you’ll definitely recognize them in her! When Lia FINALLY stands up to her, and to Brian for never supporting her over his mother, I wanted to cheer!

When Breaker and Lia start to have a more physical relationship (which is HOT, HOT HOT!), I love his tactic to try to keep everything else as regular as possible, so their relationship isn’t really changing that much, they’re just adding love into the mix.

Also, Breaker’s sisters-in-law… what great friends they are to Lia! I loved how openly all the ladies were about their sexual relationships with their husbands. So many people are all hung up about talking about sex. Should some things be private? Sure, but having a couple of great, trusted friends helped Lia sort out a lot of what was missing in her relationship with her fiancé, even though she hadn’t been able to really pinpoint it on her own.

Overall, just a really great book! I appreciated that all the tension in the beginning was NOT about one person pining over another, as romantic feelings weren’t acknowledged until almost half-way through the book. I don’t give many books five stars, but this was definitely a five-star-read!!

A cute ending to a fun trilogy! Breaker and Fern are adorable together. I don’t normally like friends to lovers but this worked so well. My only gripe is that I never felt Ferns relationship with her fiancé to be realistic so there never felt like there was ever going to be a real obstacle to get over.

This is a friends-to-lovers troupe. If you are a MQ fan, you will like this next rom-com installment. This is a Cane brothers book and the interplay between the brothers is one of the best parts. This did originally come out with a different cover so if you are a long time fan you may have already read this one.

Thanks Net Galley and Bloom Books for the temporary ARC to review. The new cover is cute!

Breaker did not disappoint.

I enjoy the friends to lovers trope, and Meghan Quinn executed it magnificently.

A Long Time Coming tells the story of Breaker, the last of the Cane brothers, and his long time friendship with Lia; for whom he is now her man of honor. They start to see each other in a different light during this time, especially Breaker (it was kind of obvious that they both liked each other for a long time...hence the title, but denial is also their best friend).

I loved their dynamic as friends and lovers; they were so cute and fun. It was a bit of a slow burn romance, but I rooted for them so hard! It felt really long though (I was impatient). I love how nerdy Breaker is too. Wedding shenanigans are always chaotic and I feel like the book captures that so well.

Also, I loved seeing all the brothers together, it made my heart feel so full and happy. A great end to the series, I'm giving it 4.5 stars, rounding it to 5!

Thank you so much to Meghan Quinn, Bloom and NetGallery for the ARC, these are my honest thoughts.

A Long Time Coming is the third book in Meghan Quinn's Cane brothers series and features the youngest brother Banner and his best friend Lia. Lia is engaged to a man that Banner dislikes and while he is serving as Lia's man of honor, he realizes that he is in love with her. As with all of Meghan's books, jinx ensues as Lia realizes she is also in love with Banner. Lots of laughs, spicy scenes and cameos from Banner's brothers and their significant others make this a book you won't want to put down.

Oh my god this book. It seriously blew me away. It’s easily my favorite of this series and Breaker is officially my favorite Cane brother.

This book was everything incredible about friends to lovers. The genuine friendship turned unrequited love turned to best friends and lovers. It was seriously such a beautiful story and I just can’t get over how in love with it I am.

I found myself so upset when I’d have to put my kindle down because all I really wanted to do was devour this book. It was so beautifully written. Definitely one of my favorites by Meghan Quinn (and I’ve read most of her books). There was just something so incredibly special about Breaker and Lia’s friendship. Their friendship is one of my favorites I’ve ever read in this trope. It was authentic, genuine, hilarious, and just perfect. Their transition to lovers was done amazingly and I couldn’t have imagined a better progression for them. I absolutely adored Breaker and Lia individually and together. You could just feel both the platonic and romantic love they felt for each other through the page and I was just swept away and consumed by it in the best way. So beautiful.

Okay moving on from the sweet parts. The spice in this book???? HOLY SHIT DUDE. I couldn’t contain my excitement finding out about Mr. Breaker Cane and his spiciness. Like damn… so HOT. And him and Lia together???? Unmatched. This easily had some of my favorite spicy scenes in any book I’ve ever read (and I’ve also read sooooooo many lol).

Meghan Quinn truly nailed this book. It was pure perfection in my eyes and might possibly be my favorite book written by her. It was the absolute perfect way to end this amazing series. I already know I need the illustrated edition of this book because I can only imagine how good those pictures are gonna be.

All in all: absolutely incredible. If you love friends to lovers or are wanting to give the trope a shot, this will be one of my top recommendations because it was just done so well. Meghan Quinn. You’re amazing.

Thanks to Netgalley, Bloombooks and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I didn’t know this was third in a series, but I feel like it read well as a standalone. There were some references I missed, but nothing distracting from the story. This was a classic unrequited love/friends to lovers story, told very well. This was a very spicy open door book, so if you tend to clutch pearls, be prepared. I’m definitely interested in reading the rest of the series.

In my Meghan Quinn era. Light, funny, sexy, juuuuuust emotional enough to bring me to tears a couple of times. Generally I’m not a friends to lovers fan, but I was invested in Lia and Breaker. This is a great interconnected series. You don’t technically have to read in order and the brothers all have their draws. I liked this one, I especially go for the ultra nerdy sweetheart with a damn filthy mouth. Perfection.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Slow burn, but burn it does!

The third book in the Cane brother's series. Friends-lovers. This story was so cute. All of the Cane brothers are absolute perfection, but Breaker is something else. He had so much love for Lia, and was so supportive/protective of her. I loved this book and series!

Lia is getting married soon and enlisted her best friend Breaker's help to deal with her future-mother-in-law. Unfortunately, he is falling in love with her at the same time....

Love Breaker and Lia. So many funny scenes. So many cute moments. Love the humour and the steam. Breaker is a bit silly but so sweet. Love the swoon and the romance.

Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
