Thank you Bloom Books & netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
Just when I thought the series couldn't get better, breaker has now taken the spot of my favourite brother. he's so nerdy, funny, and sweet! Breaker and lia's friendship is what I crave, I am so envious of it. They connect on a whole other level, not just romantically but also platonically. I whole heartedly believe that your partner should also be your best friend and they are both, it's just so perfect. It was definitely a slow burn, friends to lovers but i ate that shit up!! I wish the fiancé wedding stuff ended sooner but it gave us the opportunity to see how much lia and breaker really care about each other. ugh, they're so perfect together. i'm so glad they finally realized how deeply they care and love each other after a 10 year friendship. i love them ♡
If you enjoyed the other cane brother novels, I would highly recommend also checking this one out!

Pub date: available now!
If you are interested in this beautiful new cover, preorder yours now - releases January 2, 2024!

The opening immediately makes the two main characters likable. But the love triangle goes on a little long for my taste but overall a nice RomCom.

This is one of my favorite books of the year. No joke it is amazing. Beaker is the best book boyfriend in the world and I’m obsessed with him. I have already reread this book a few times simply because of how addictive it is. I rarely read books where I completely believe in an emotional connection between the two characters and this book did just that! Amazing!

When I requested thus book, I didn't realize I had already read it and it had a different cover to it. I am grateful for the review because this way I get to keep the book, knowing I loved it so much. I love the books that Meghan Quinn writes. There's never a dull moment in them. There's always, romance, and humor in them. I always look forward to the next ones she writes. I am grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this again in exchange for an honest review.

I think this is my favorite Cane Brothers book because I'm a complete softy for a clever, nerdy man. The way Breaker handles The Beave made it impossible not to love him. Is it as funny as SNMTB? No. Is it as spicy as ANSMC? Also, no. BUT I LOVED THIS STORY. Not a single crumb was left. For me, this struck the perfect balance between the first two books. It still made me laugh out loud (love that the pigeon joke from SNMTB made an appearance) a good bit and the spice was on point. I'm pretty sure l am a Meghan Quinn fan for life because these books were fantastic. Lia & Pickle will always have a place in my heart.

AH i loved this book with my whole being. Lia and Breaker have been friends since college. From that point they have been each others' best friends, Lia is getting married shortly and Breaker realizes he may have feelings...here we go!! I liked Lia's character she was very sweet and a great friend to Lottie, Kelsey, and Myla who are introduced in previous books.
I love a good friends to lovers story when its done right!!! Meghan, I think this is my favorite of yours

I absolutely loved this book! I could not put it down. It’s the perfect combo so sweet romcom and spicy romance. The Lia and Breaker are so witty and their chemistry is so well written. I was kicking my feet giggling the whole time. By far my favorite friends to lovers book. Highly recommend!

Meghan Quinn cannot write a bad book!!!! Book 3 in the Cane Brother series & I love it even more! This has the perfect combination of romance and comedy.

Easy 5 stars! This is one of my favorite romance books I’ve read this year! In this book we follow the youngest of the Cane brothers Breaker who after a false accusation is forced to stop working, and his best friend Ophelia as she’s trying to plan her wedding and dealing with her fiancée’s awful mother. As the story progresses we watch Breaker and Ophelia discover that maybe the person they’ve ment to be with had been right there all along.
I really adored this, it’s a perfect friends to lovers romance. I loved Breaker and Ophelia’s dynamic as both friends and when they start pursing a romantic relationship, their chemistry is present from their very first interaction in the story. Also Breaker is by far my favorite of the Cane Brothers, He’s sweet and a bit goofy and is incredibly considerate of Lia’s feelings.

SO. friends to lovers isn’t my fave…. so i enjoyed this book a lot more once they got to being lovers 😆 but i think breaker is my fave brother!

Meghan Quinn does it again. I read all of her books with such ease. Good trilogy. Enjoyed them all. Hope there is a follow up with the 3 brothers at Lias wedding. And the babies just to finish it all off .

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! I was laughing louder than I have in a long time. Meghan Quinn can do no wrong. And the spice was perfect. One of my fave reads of 2023! Immediately starting the next one!

meghan quinn can not write a bad book. especially not about the fucking kane brothers. this was my favorite series of meghan's and i'm not afraid to admit i've read all 3 books multiple times. 😊 i loved breaker and lia's story and my only issue is that there was only 3 brothers 🥲

Breaker is the youngest of the Cane Brothers. He is a sexy billionaire who happens to be one of the world’s biggest nerds. He has been best friends with Lia since college and bonded over everything nerdy and board games. Lia just got engaged and her new mother-in-law is the absolute worst. Breaker, as the Pickle of Honor (maid of honor), has to run interference so Lia can enjoy her wedding. However, Breaker realizes he is actually in love with his best friend.
Breaker is absolutely my favorite Cane brother and literally the man of my freaking dreams. The first date between Breaker and Lia was literal magic and the fact that he remembered what she once said was her perfect first date for years is so swoon worthy. Gosh, I wish I could have my first kiss under the Disney fireworks. The mouth on this man is 🥵🥵🥵🥵. I absolutely adored this book.

I devoured A Long Time Coming! This was such a great angsty read. There were some tropes that usually don’t work for me (she has a fiancé until like 65% of the book) but damn I enjoyed this so so much. If you like friends to lovers, with tension and spice this is a must try. This was my first Meghan Quinn and I definitely want to go back and read the first books of the series. 4.25 stars (4 for Netgalley)

Meghan Quinn holds my heart, ESPECIALLY if I need a laugh! The story of Breaker and Lia was so dang cute! You could tell right from the beginning that they were both in love with each other and were just too afraid to do something about it, so watching Breaker help Lia marry someone else was gut wrenching, but just when you think all hope is lost…

3/5 Stars
Thank you to bloom books and netgalley for the arc.
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series so I expected to love this one also but I didn’t love it even as much as the others. There was more than one Harry Potter reference and tbh I don’t know why I didn’t just follow my rule of DNFing books with HP references that were published after JKR showed her true self. This was somehow the slowest burn and also fast once they realized their feelings and it just was a bit odd. The overall pacing felt really off and the conflict felt really forced.
Breaker Cane agrees to be the man in waiting for his best friend Lia’s wedding even though he dislikes who she is marrying. Breaker and Lia have been best friends since college but were never anything more than friends. Lia’s future Mother in Law is horrible and wants complete control over Lia’s wedding and Lia’s fiancé doesn’t stand up for her at all, which is why Lia asks for Breaker’s help. During the wedding planning process Breaker starts to realize maybe he feels more than just platonic love for Lia but doesn’t want to ruin her wedding just because he thinks he might be in love with her. But when Lia starts to become suspicious of her fiancé, and the wedding nuptials are racing towards them they both have to decide what they will do and what they are happy with.
Breaker and Lia don’t get together until I think over 60% into the book but after that happens their relationship is insanely fast and yes they have been friends for years but this still is a lot of massive change in a very short amount of time for them. Breaker and his brother’s company is also being sued during this book but we don’t hear a lot about it and it is so minimal even though it sounded like a big issue in the beginning. I also hate how Breaker wants what is best for Lia but is mostly willing to just let her continue her relationship with Brian, her fiancé even though he can tell she is uncomfortable at times. I personally even would like to think I would tell my friend that what is happening is wrong and that her fiancé should be standing up for her against their mother, but Breaker doesn’t tell her this until she breaks off the relationship. I like Lia and Breaker together as a couple but it just felt fast and weird which Lia even points out in the beginning of their new relationship.
I think a lot will liking this but it wasn’t more me and I do wish I had DNFed after I got weird vibes in the prologue.

Must read book from Meghan Quinn. Love her books and the feels I get from reading them.
it was a cute read. Like the characters of the couple. must read this book. go and read this now. read it today if you can.

I'd seen this book's previous cover many times and never got around to reading it, but when the series was re-released with these beautiful new covers, I jumped at the chance to provide a review for @netgalley and @read_bloom.
Breaker Cane and Lia Fairweather-Fern have been best friends since college. Ten years later, they live across the hall from each other, sharing a dorky obsession with tacos and board games. When Lia's less-than-awesome boyfriend proposes and her monstrous future MIL fast-tracks the wedding, Breaker steps in as the man-in-waiting for his best friend as they work with the MIL for all of the last-minute decisions. As the wedding quickly approaches, and Breaker helps pick out venues, flowers, cake, and dresses, he realizes what his brothers have known for years - he is in love with his best friend. But is it better for him to keep his mouth shut and save their friendship or risk everything for a chance at love?
These two kind-hearted nerds have such an adorable friendship. This is one of those books where you FEEL the friendship and their deep history. A classic slow burn, the Breaker and Lia don't even realize their feelings for each other until well past the 60% mark of the book, while readers will feel it the entire time. Although this is the third book in the series, it is the first I read. I am sure that I would have loved the back story on the other brothers, but not knowing it didn't prevent me from enjoying this book (but I'm quickly going back to read the rest of the series). Typically, I'm not fond of billionaire romance novels, but I enjoyed this one, although his finances didn't play a role in the story. This one is a perfect read if you love funny, sexy, slow-burn friends to lovers.
The audiobook is *chef’s kiss* with the rare duet narration and I highly recommend it.

This was my favorite of the whole trio! Breaker and Lia have one of the best friends to lovers stories I have read. The only thing that bothered me about their friendship prior to her no longer being with her fiancé was that they would cuddle in the same bed. That is a big no from me. Once they actually got together, the spice was unreal. I also loved the girls friendship with Lottie, Kelsey, and Myla and seeing where their relationships were after their books.
