Besties to lovers I'm all for it. But the BANTER and all the cool 90s/2000s pop culture going on?! OMG SWOON! Breaker and Lia are so damn cute together and that slow burn is intense but when they finally get their head out their asses and realize what's right in front of them it's well worth the wait 🥹🥵🙌🏽 I've read a few of Meghan's books before but this one was my favorite by far I devoured it in 24hrs. Definitely recommend if friends to lovers is your type of trope!
The sweetest and my favorite of the Cane Brothers Trilogy. I’d give this book a 4.25/5 stars; it has all the elements of a best friends-to-lovers rom com. I loved the slow burn and lack of third act breakup between the MMC and FMC. These characters felt the most developed out of the three books, and I liked that the leads from the previous two books were incorporated as side characters in this story. Breaker was the start of the show for me!
I stopped after the first section (4%) but it’s compulsively readable and I can see exactly why it blew up on TikTok. Definitely and easy three to four stars for the target, with five for the right readers.
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the ARC.
The best book of the series! Breaker Cane is now my favorite book boyfriend! A friends to lovers romance that has you rooting for them from the start!!!
I had to DNF this series at the last book as it was just so cringey so I will not be continuing with this book due to that
I love me a best friends to lovers story and this was no exception. It was a super cute story with a male best friend that is a great support system during wedding planning. This is not a stand alone it appears but all it did was make me want to read the others. Slow to get to the love epiphany but once the fire starts it doesn’t stop! I loved the banter and relationship between the MC’s and was so happy with the HEA and epilogue!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
The Cane brothers have my heart 💜
Breaker has been best friends with Lia since college. Ten years later here he m is helping her plan her “rushed” wedding. Her soon to be mother in law keeps getting in the way, and Breaker is there to help. Except the more time they spend together, he starts to see Lia in a different light. Soon he realizes that he is in love with her.
You will root for these two the entire book! I loved any and every Huxley &JP cameo. This was just the most adorable friends to lovers rom-com!
This was the perfect way to end this AMAZING series. I’m not sure I have ever been so sad that a book was over. The Cane brothers hold such a special place in my heart 💜 This is a series that will have a permanent place on my bookshelf and I will read over and over again! Meghan Quinn, you are the rom-com queen!

Thank you to NetGalley, Meghan Quinn, and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for this ARC!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
*Reviewed on NetGalley and Goodreads.
As a fan of this author, I was thrilled to get into her new release. I have enjoyed many books from this author, and am sure I will again.
Unfortunately, the premise of this one didn't resonate with me. I couldn't connect with these characters. I absolutely believe this is a "me" problem, and I am sure other readers will have a good read.
It happens. I received a free ARC from Netgalley (thank you). I wanted to immerse myself in their world, but just didn't completely get there.
Good reading, as always from this talented author.
I voluntarily leave my review.
Thank you Bloom Books/Sourcebooks and Netgalley for the ARC!
If there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that I love Meghan Quinn. She never fails to deliver on the humor and the spice!
If you like best friends to lovers, laugh out loud hilarity, off the charts chemistry and spice, wedding antics and forced proximity then you’ll love this third book of the Cane brothers!
A spicy romance that had me hooked from the start! I can sense that this will undoubtedly earn another well-deserved 5-star rating for Meghan Quinn.
Friends to lovers is not always one of my favorite tropes but I loved reading the story of Lia and Breaker. The banter between Breaker and his brothers was top notch, and the texting between Lia and Breaker had me laughing out loud. So many great moments as Lia learns that putting her needs first is better than trying to always please others - especially those not don't really care about her, and the final showdown between her and her future mother-in-law was a real pleasure to read and her running out with cake in her hands while her and Breaker ate it was hilarious.
This book was so good! Absolutely 💯 loved it. Thanks NetGalley and to the publisher for this. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I love the Cane Brothers and this one was no exception. Breaker is quite possibly my favorite Cane! Nerdy, swoony BFF to lovers trope!
This is a book in a series but I don’t think I needed the other two to know what was happening! It’s a friends to lovers which is one of my favorites! I loved that it felt like it was more of a male main character point of view than anything.
This was such a delicious friends to lovers. He had been waiting so long for her he didn't even really he was waiting anymore until the threat of losing her friendship to marriage. Well it might have been ok if they were compatible and he treated her right but the guy was just following a list.
But OMG Breaker in the bedroom is a sight to behold. Woah! I haven't read the first two in the series but from the stories the wives of Breakers brothers shared I'm def going back.
I loved this book. Cheesy smutty romance! Who doesn't love a hot nerd, even more so when the nerd is a warm, sensitive, and caring man. The characters in this book are very likable. There were a few laugh out loud moments as well as some to bring tears to your eyes. I highly recommend this book to romance readers who don't mind a good amount of spice and cursing.
Sign me up for a gender-swapped My Best Friend’s Wedding! Lia and Breaker are adorable geeks and friends to lovers is my favorite trope. I love the Cane brothers, and I love this story!
This story had me hooked at scrabble club and Supernatural Winchester brothers fan fic! It starts off with fantastic banter and a hilarious first impression.
This is my first Meghan Quinn book and it did not disappoint! I found the main characters to be so lovable. They're both nerdy and straight forward. The dynamic between Breaker and Ophelia is probably the best one I have encounter from a couple. They both start off as friends and after a decade Breaker realizes he's in love with her. Here's the kicker she's getting married to another man 😨
I was on a rollercoaster between laughter, anger, and complete joy while reading this book. The way it was sense of humor was great. I loved when Lia stood up to her fiancé and mother-n-law from hell.
Absolutely recommend!
Oh my goodness I loved A Long Time Coming so much…especially when things started to change between Breaker and Lia! Their friendship and banter was ELITE, and I loved their friends-to-lovers evolution. In the past, Meghan Quinn has been hit-and-miss for me, but A Long Time Coming gave me all the same feel-good vibes as The Highland Fling! Both Breaker and Lia were very likable characters, and the supporting friendships and relationships were well-written, hilarious, and endearing. I LOVE a golden retriever MMC that turns into a dirty talker, and Breaker is now one of my book boyfriends! I’m so happy I picked up this book and I can’t wait to read more Meghan Quinn books!
Best friends to lovers! Loved the flashbacks. I had read this book before, perhaps this was a re-release? Enjoyed reading it again. If you like Meghan Quinn, you will love this book.
