I didn’t realize this was a re-release and I’ve already read this book in late 2022. I love the new cover. Everything Lucy Score writes, I grab!
I love her focus on character development with the enemies to lovers trope and the slow burn of getting those main characters to realize they need to give into their attraction.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book!
4 stars!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bloom Books, and the author for providing me with an E-ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!
Franchesca aka Frankie is the maid of honor at her best friend's wedding. She loves her best friend and the groom and would do anything for them both. Frankie is not a fan of the rest of the wedding party. They are everything that she is not -- Rich, stuck-up, and shallow. Then there is the richest of the richest, the best man, Aiden Kilbourn. When the groom gets adult-napped a day before his wedding in Barbados, Frankie and Aiden have to work together to save the wedding.
This was such a fun and cute read! Aiden and Frankie couldn't be more different from each other. Aiden is the CFO for his family's successful business in Manhattan, Kilbourn Holdings. Frankie works full time, goes to grad school, and lives in Brooklyn. What I loved about Frankie is that she reminded me of myself -- stubborn, has no filter, told it like it was, and independent. Aiden was a strong hero, enough to handle her. I loved the banter between them both and their chemistry was off the charts. The characters and this story were hilarious. This book was different than Lucy's other books, but I still enjoyed it! As always, I look forward to reading more of Lucy's books!

I didn't realize that this was a re-release of the book. If I can remember correctly, I believe I read this book when it was first released (borrowed from a friend) and I don't believe I ever finished it. I first starting loving Lucy Score's books last year (2023) when I read the Knockemout Series!! Since then, I have been reading all of her work!
I am happy that I got the opportunity to read this book again and refresh my memory along with enjoying a classic Lucy Score book! I feel that there is just something missing between Aiden and Frankie, but just can't put my finger on it. Due to that, I would have to give this book a 4.5/5 stars!
I was a bit confused at first at who was what and did what but when I started to get into it, it was a funny story. Greta characters. A heroine with back bone. A great storyline that flowed well.
Lucy score has never disappointed me! I will forever read her books! And these new covers are just absolutely gorgeous!
I loved the spice between Aiden and Frankie. I loved the family elements between the two of them and how different they were. I did have difficulties here and there with the story line, and I did not like that every skinny person except Aiden’s mom was a b****. It was a good read just not quite a 5 star for me. I hope to read more by her and love it.
I didn’t realize this was a re-release when I requested! I read this a couple years back, during lockdown I believe, and while I enjoyed the story the plot was a little too chaotic for me and didn’t like the MMC very much.
While matron of honor in best friend Pru's destination wedding, Franchesca "Frankie" is paired with Aiden, "The Worst Best Man" ever! Or is he? Will she change her mind once she's spent quality time with him?
This story started with a destination wedding, a rich/snotty/snobby wedding party, and a kidnapped groom. Throughout the first third or so of this book, I was equally bored and irritated but at about 40%, the romance between Frankie and Aiden finally picked up and then I was hooked. Frankie was a breath of fresh air in a rich man’s world, and I loved the banter between her and Aiden. She was real and authentic and didn't censor her thoughts and feelings while talking to him. Lots of steamy love scenes too, both in and out of the bedroom.
Lastly, after listening to Maggie Moves On (4 stars) last year, I was excited to read more by this author, and I'm definitely glad I own a bunch more!
Location: Barbados and New York City
I received an advance copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
I love the way Lucy Score writes! Her characters are dynamic and engaging. Frankie and Aiden captivated me and I loved seeing them fall in love. Aiden kind of reminded me of Lucian in her knockemout series, but they had their differences too. The beginning was a little too much for my tastes, but overall I enjoyed this book!
This book is beautiful inside and out. I have loved everything from this author so naturally, this one didnt dissapoint. I loved Aiden and Frankie's banter and it made for some good rom-com moments. Really recommend for anyoine fans of the good ole' wedding rom-coms you'll really love this!
Lucy Score is the Queen of the Hot and sexy romcom. I love the new cover on this book! The story is wonderful.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!
I love me a hood Lucy Score book so when I seen The Worst Best Man I jumped on it fast! I love a good strong FMC and Frankie delivered. I also really liked how Aiden after one bad encounter really tried to show up for franky. I really enjoyed their banter.
Now, what made me give it 3 stars was Frankie pushing away a lot and third act break up. Also, Pru is supposed to be Frankie's best friend yet let her bridesmaids talk to her like she was garbage because she wasn't rich. The girl fights a stereotypes werent it for me.
I still love Lucy and her writing style. Thank you for the arc.
I was provided a free advanced copy of this from @read_bloom and @netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
This is an older @scorelucy that is getting a revamp!
When Francesca agrees to be her rich best friend's Maid of Honor she tries her best to make it a perfect day, even if that means playing nice with the grumpy rich bachelor Best Man, Aiden Kilbourn. But when things begin to go awry the night before the wedding, and Aiden helps her fix things, she decides to give him a chance, but only on a limited basis. Will she be able to hold him back from going all in and falling in love? Will she be able to stop her feelings for him?
I loved Francesca. She was spunky, a do it yourself girl, who knew how to stand up for herself! Having read her Knockmeout series, Aiden was similar to Lucian (rich and broody), but not quite the same. I think I'm still a bigger Lucian fan, although Aiden and Francesca didn't have the long history like Lucian and Sloane. Still a good story, and lots of steamy scenes! 🫣
If you're a fan of Lucy Score, definitely pick this one up! If you've never read any of hers and don't mind some bedroom (or limo, or... other locations) scenes, check it out!

The first part of this book is a bit chaotic and once they retuned to NYC after the wedding, the story for better.
Frankie isn’t a simpering FMC and I loved it. She’s opinionated, caring, flawed, honest, and open to receiving criticism. I loved how her bros bonded with Aiden and made him feel “normal”.
Just a warning, the main characters friend are AWFUL except Chip and Pru. I’m not sure they qualify as friends but more of acquaintances and they will make you mad.
Thank you for the advance reader copy of this book! Once again Lucy Score delivered the spice! I just love her writing. There was a short time in this book I didn’t like the way it seemed it was going with a very domineering vibe, but things leveled out. Lucy does a great job balancing some sort of chaos in her books with the right amount of love and sex.
I love LS’s books but I couldn’t get into this one- her older ones aren’t as polished and just the dialogue is clunkier - when the MMC refers to her as a stripper/working the pole, I knew the dynamic wasn’t for me.
This was an entertaining read for me. The story revolves around Franchesca Baranski, a strong and sassy Maid of Honor, and Aiden Kilbourn, a successful but commitment-shy businessman. When the groom gets kidnapped, their adventure to rescue him takes unexpected turns. I found Frankie to be a refreshing heroine, unapologetically herself. The book had moments of humor, engaging banter, and a growing attraction between Frankie and Aiden. However, some secondary characters felt one-dimensional and clichéd, which was a drawback. While the story followed some familiar romance tropes, it managed to keep me engaged until the end. Overall, it's an enjoyable romantic escapade with appealing character growth.
Thank you @netgalley and @read_bloom for this ARC!
Another LS book getting a major facelift. She's an oldie but goodie, just got a new and improved cover.
Really cute read, I loved Aiden. I thought he was the perfect grumpy, billionaire boyfriend. Frankie was a bit of a wildcara, sometimes it worked in her tavor, sometimes she was a tad snarky for my liking. But overall, I liked their matching and felt like they even each other out perfectly.
If you like enemies to lovers, billionaire/CEO MMC, best man/MOH romances, then this is a perfect option!
3.5 stars

Maid of honor, Franchesca, is just trying to survive her best friend’s high society wedding without taking out one of the bridesmaids. Just when she thinks she has everything under control, Best Man Aiden Kilbourn enters the chat and inadvertently throws the entire wedding into complete and utter chaos. Despite their rough start, Frankie and Aiden can’t deny their attraction to one another, and continue to rendezvous when they return home. But Aiden is a billionaire, and Frankie is… not. They live in two entirely different worlds, but Aiden is determined to keep her in his, even if she fights him every step of the way.
The Worst Best Man is typical Lucy Score. It’s not the best romance novel I’ve ever read, but it’s sweet and predictable in a way that I have come to appreciate. Frankie has all the sass and Aiden is the grump romance readers live for. I did feel like there was a bit too much plot happening at once (especially near the beginning), and the pacing was a little off, but it didn’t impact my ability to understand what was going on. Sure, some parts were cringe but let’s be honest, it’s impossible to have a billionaire trope with no cringe. Give her a break. Solidly average but plenty enjoyable.
I have read and liked Lucy Score in the past but "The Worst Best Man" is not her best. There is little back story for the characters. It felt like we joined a story three chapters in and spend a decent amount of time trying to catch up. Trying to figure out why Pru would have the other bridesmaids in her wedding when she doesn't even seem to like them (with good reason) took up way too much of my attention. The whole kidnapping subplot was just odd, and while Frankie and Aiden have mad sexual chemistry, neither of them are very nice to each other in their non-sexual interactions. The supposedly terrible thing Aiden did screamed college and Frankie's hold on it did, too. There was some fun banter, and the steam was great. Overall this book was just not my cup of tea.
2 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary ARC of this book. The opinions herein are my own.
