As someone with a bunch of cousins who always loved an extended family visit, this was the perfect, nostalgic read. I can’t wait to share this with my children one day to introduce them to the love and craziness that comes with throwing your entire family together.
Well written. There is just one part of the book that I had to disagree. The games are taken seriously and as kids we cry and get grumpy when we loose. Except for that the book was very relatable.
Took me back to the days when as a kind I get all excited when my cousins or guests come home. As a child there is this endless love, I remember bawling everytime my cousin had to leave. Heartbreaks and disappointments, add some betrayals. You are much older, somehow guests staying over doesnt excite as much. Then you break free, realise the journey each life had to take. Back to the circle again. The endless love and excitation but now there is a stability to this. This love is calmer. It isn't obsessive, it understands. Getting old is beautiful.
This children’s book is perfect for kids who are preparing to have a fun weekend with cousins. As a mom of 2 young children who periodically connect with distant cousins, this is the exact type of book I would read to get them excited about family bonding and play. I like the colorful pictures, rhyming, and humorous asides. I’m grateful to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This children's book was hilarious. This book will be great for families that are larger and the cousins are very playful. With kids always finding a way to be "bored", there are some good examples of different games they can play together. The graphics for this book are simple and the way the hair is drawn onto each character is hilarious. Overall, this book would be great for anyone family-orientated.
I read this story with my youngest daughter who is 5 and she absolutely loved it. She gets so excited when her cousins come over and this book describes them perfectly!
Thank you Netgalley, the author and the publisher for my ARC!
This was a lovely picture book with some really nice artwork, and I'll definitely be recommending it in my library as a resource for children who are nervous about going to see extended family. This book paints seeing cousins in an entirely positive light and makes it sound like a lot of fun, so it's definitely going to be one I'll keep in mind next time someone asks me for a recommendation in this area!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

A fun read with my little reader. Engendering feelings of nostalgia for me as I remembered perfect sleepovers and vacations with cousins. Cousins can truly be best friends. My little reader enjoyed the illustrations and the story.
This was a fun book! My 2.5 year old daughter loved it because it reminded her of her cousins. She loves playing with them and this book made her happy she said!
