Oh my! Paige and Cole stole my heart. I love their witty banter and Paige's inner thoughts so much. I listened to the audiobook and Luci Christian and Wyeth Watts just nailed these characters and their personalities so perfectly. The chemistry was hot and you could feel their attraction from the beginning. Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope and it is perfection in this story. I can't wait for a physical copy to put on my favorites shelf.

4 Stars!
Paige Young enjoys traveling and seeing new places, so when she gets the opportunity to work in paradise she takes it. She quickly decides the island life is for her. Every day brings something exciting with her job at a luxury resort in Turks and Caicos. She is in charge of guest activities, entertainment and hospitality. Life in the tropics is full of adventure, and her new home has become her sanctuary and happy place. Everything is wonderful at Siesta Playa, except her relationship with the assistant director of operations. Cole Clark is second in command and always manages to annoy her and get her all riled up. For a year they've been rivals since that kiss they pretend didn't happen. They drive each other crazy, and are just too different. While she's fun, spontaneous, and up for anything, Cole is a grumpy workaholic whose usually behind a desk. He's a number crunching, rule following, buttoned up suit type that does everything by the book. They enjoy tormenting each other, and lately he's a huge thorn in her side. When their suddenly forced to spend more time together in an emergency situation will they finally move past the enemy stage and confront the real feelings that might be hiding under all that animosity?

Their Last Resort by R.S. Grey is a slow burn, rivals, opposites attract, enemies to lovers, beach romance full of sizzling chemistry and fantastic banter. I really enjoyed this fun, flirty, cute read! <333

Cole is Paige's work nemesis, from the first day they meet, his cold demeanor is the exact opposite to her sunny one. Each day they throw barbs at one another and it's obvious to everyone around them (except them, it would seem) that they are made for one another. after a few vulnerable moments, Paige isn't sure that Cole really truly likes her, so she tries to protect herself by putting all the walls up and trying to find someone else to focus her attention on.
I really did enjoy the chapters we got to see from Cole's POV and I will admit, seeing Paige try to make Cole jealous, got a little cringey, but I lived for Cole. I loved his patience with her, his quiet brooding and his willingness to banter back and forth with her. He was so shy and like a little puppy I just wanted to hug. I love workplace romance, especially when it is enemies to lovers and the boy falls hard and first. So if those tropes are your jam, you need to check this out. 3.5 stars rounded up cause I really did love Cole.
Thanks to Montlake, Netgalley and RS Grey for an early copy.

Cole and Paige are co-workers at a resort in Turks and Caicos. They have this hate/hate relationship, but really they both like each other. Cole is reserved and quiet while Paige is more outgoing and loud. She seems a bit childish, too, for being 25 years old.

I was wondering how they were going to get together when a hurricane forces them to share a room and bed. I felt the build up to that was slow, but the I love you to each other was too fast and weird.

This is my first book by this author and while I liked enough, I didn’t love it. I’ll try another of her books, though.

Thank you to Montlake Romance and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

can we please stop having FMCs that are irrational, immature,, accident prone morons?! I can’t root for these type of women. They have no agency. Maybe this is a me problem, but if Paige (our FMC) were an actual employee at this hotel, it absolutely wouldn’t be a luxe resort in T&C, it would be a Great Wolf Lodge. I struggled to get past her attitude and incompetence. I get that she’s supposed to be fun and care-free but in her environment, no way. Cole, our MMC, is fine. He doesn’t get as many POV chapters as I would have liked, mostly because I couldn’t stand being in Paige’s “head”. Our heroine has to big changing moment, or growth. The couple become a couple quite quickly within the book, though we know they have worked together for a while. Unfortunately, the plot is lacking and the tension/chemistry was nonexistent. I really hope you have better luck with it. R.S. Grey is usually a hit for me, and I think it’s just a character mesh issue for me. They're not for me. 2 ⭐️

I’m so grateful to the publisher, and to NetGalley for this advanced copy, in exchange for my unbiased review.

RS Grey will always be an auto buy, and Their Last Resort was another fun read! Finished this in like one sitting, too!

I’ve been waiting to read this book for months, I get so excited each time R.S. Grey releases a new book and I hope that never changes! Cole and Paige are so much fun, their life at the T&C resort seems like so much, like id love to runaway and do their jobs for a year or so, but they also have such a fun coworker relationship as Paige dislikes Cole and Cole just finds her adorable.

Paige is literally adorable but also the way Cole describes her, you can see how he fell in love with her. He sees every detail about her and loves both her good and bad traits. He is also super respectful of her and I love that. The hurricane was a great way to add external conflict to the story in addition to Todd’s story line!

Their Last Resort is a great summer rom com that is perfect for a vacation on the beach or at home wishing you were at the beach!

Though I didn't like it as much as the other books by this author this was still a fun little book to read while on breaks at work.

The fmc felt immature and the banter between the couple was eye rolling but I liked the resort aspect of it, it was fun to see the different types of guests that go there. I also appreciated the fact that it didn't have a third act breakup.

What I would like to point out was the very inappropriate "joke" about Syria and 1sis???? Ms grey what were you thinking???? Not funny and hopefully it gets taken out.

This was a cute and quick read. I felt that the flashback to them kissing was a little bit misplaced and should have been mentioned earlier. But I did enjoy the enemies to lovers vibes !

This is a trope-y and sometimes cringe-y - rom com. Paige and Cole are opposites who work together at a resort. Their banter- she's the scattered sunshine, he's the buttoned up grouch- seemed a little pat to me. This is an easy read that will be good at the beach or by the pool.

I had really high hopes for this book but it was a bit too insta-love for my personal taste. I wanted more development for the romance. The characters did not seem to have a deep connection and I didn't particularly care about their relationship. But if you want a quick, fun read give this one a try!

An enemies to lovers romance with all the feels, set in the stunning Turks and Caicos, laugh out loud hilarity, and a handful of great characters.
Paige lives for the outdoors. Her job is perfect for her, and her island home is somewhere she wants to stay forever. If only she could find someone to share it with. Well, there is that one guy she loves to hate! Or does she?!
Unique and full of life, she lights up every room, and Cole is more than aware of that. She might hate him, but he can't get her off his mind.
A storm, a villainous boss, and a bartender named Dante might be seemingly obstacles, but they could also be stepping stones to a love that will take their breaths away.

Paige is fun loving and silly, Cole is buttoned up and not a social person. From the very get go in this book, we know that Cole is enamored with Paige, but watching Paige bumble her way through her feelings about Cole is so much fun!

Every other sentence is laugh out loud funny, as we listen to all the thoughts inside Paige's head, and I lost track of how often I was highlighting passages that I loved. R.S Grey is a writer with an amazing combination of Steamy push and pull between characters, and hysterical banter and situations. This last book of hers doesn't disappoint at all, and I loved it!

Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for providing me with an ARC of this book.

If there’s one thing this book has it’s an abundance of chemistry. Give me a guy that falls first and everytime I will be weak in the knees. Cole is broody yet endearing. Never one to show all his cards, but given the opportunity will always fight for you.

Our Last Resort was my first experience reading Ms. Grey’s work even though I’ve seen her books and actually have a few on my wish list. I was excited when NetGalley offered it to reviewers and based on this read, I will be reading more of her books in the future.

I enjoyed this slow-developing enemies-to-lovers romance in light of so many insta-love stories out there. And honestly, I wouldn’t say they were enemies. I like to think that Paige and Cole enjoy pushing each other’s buttons and creating somewhat of a competition between themselves. The descriptive narrative of this island resort was beautifully written as well – I could picture this beachy, sun-drenched island to the point I could almost smell the flowers and the ocean. The secondary characters were well-developed as well, especially Paige’s friends who were a hoot. There was just the right amount of angst (if you even want to call it that) without being over the top. I liked that it took almost the entire book to get these two characters to finally admit their feelings for each other. It might have been long awaited, but it was well worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Paige and Cole’s story and I would most definitely recommend it to romance lovers. I’m very grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

First person, dual POV: Paige & Cole
Rating: 4.5⭐️
Spice: 2🌶️
Tropes: workplace, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, he falls first and hard, slow burn

I’ve loved RS Grey books for a very long time. If I’m looking for a quick, heartfelt, laugh out loud book, she’s my girl.
This was no exception.
Paige & Cole have the whole frenemies trope down pat. But it’s definitely a case of not wanting to fully admit to feelings because they both have a lot of love for each other. Paige was a bit slower to comes to terms with the concept of liking Cole more than just the guy at work she loved to pick fights with. When it came time for Cole’s first POV, you quickly realize he’s down BAD. And I love that so much.

I loved the push and pull between them, even when I was yelling at her to forget about the other guy she was projecting onto and look within to realize her feelings for Cole. It made for some very funny moments of them trying to one up the other with a barb or two.
I loved how real they felt with natural chemistry that had me looking forward to every interaction and wondering what situation Paige was going to accidentally place them awkwardly in.

A given when you read anything by this author is that when the slow burn finally ignites, it burns hot and fast. There’s no third act breakup which fits well here seeing as they were going at it with each other the first half of the book. It was nice to see things work out for them. They really deserved it after the year of putting each other through it.

Thank you to NetGalley for a review chance.

REVIEW
Paige Young is one of the guest excursions employees at a luxury resort in the Turks and Caicos. Cole Clark, assistant director of operations, is her nemesis. But do they really hate each other us much as the other thinks?
I've read a lot of books by R.S. grey over the years, a few of which are high up in my favourites list. They're generally light-hearted, fun stories with some good banter. So I was excited to read this enemies-to-lovers rom-com.
I enjoyed Cole and Paige's banter early on. There was a good amount of snark and humour, and I liked the building tension. I did find Paige a little immature at times though, and I would have loved a couple more chapters with Cole's POV, because Paige could also be a bit annoying. I liked Cole immediately. I could feel his exasperation, but also his shyness at times. There was obvious chemistry and I liked all of the little glimpses of their softer moments together, before the snark would return. And there were some genuinely heartfelt moments as the story progressed, particularly after some inventive forced proximity. When both eventually revealed their feelings, it was a relief and the intimacy felt earned.
The nightmare guests were fun and sadly realistic. I imagine anyone who's ever worked in a customer service capacity will identify with Paige and Cole's exhaustion. The supporting characters didn't offer more than to be sounding boards, but I cried laughing at how oblivious Blaze was to... well, almost everything. Todd fell into caricature bad guy territory, especially surrounding the layoffs and the hurricane. That said, his exit was comical.
While this wasn't my favourite story by the author, it was a quick, upbeat read, with a satisfying conclusion.
A light-hearted beach read.

I know I can always count on R.S. Grey when I want a fun, quick romantic comedy that I can shut my brain off for a few hours for and enjoy. Their Last Resort falls into this category.

Taking place on an island resort on Turks and Caicos, Paige and Cole work together and have a bit of a frenemy situation. The enemy-to-lovers trope is nothing new for Grey’s books, and as one of my favorite tropes, I enjoyed the banter and chemistry it presents.

The one thing I would say is that the characters felt pretty formulaic to Grey’s other romance characters. Paige is silly and outgoing, thinking she dislikes Cole but later figures out it’s love. Cole on the other hand is more buttoned up and reserved, and is secretly longing to Paige but plays her games just the same. While fun to read, it did feel a bit repetitive to many of Grey’s other books and characters. I would enjoy seeing new personalities in future books.

*** 2.5 STARS ***

This book had a bit of an insta-love trope, an annoying female main character and a love story I didn’t really care about. I actually got into this book quite quickly and really wanted to know what would happen next around the halfway point. Unfortunately, the story kind of went downhill in the second half which is why I’m only rating it 2.5 stars.

Such a great read from RS Grey, but I am not surprised because I always enjoy her work! Witty banter is one of my favorite things about her stories. She also makes it hard to put down the book with the way she builds the story and her characters. This one was no different.
