I am a die-hard fan of R.S. Grey. I’ve read every book she’s ever written and never miss a new release. So, when I got approved for an ARC of Their Last Resort I was so unbelievably excited!

Their Last Resort was such a cute & fun Rom Com. It was easy to follow and also took place at a beach resort in Turks and Caicos so it would be the perfect beach read.

The reason I rated it the way that I did is because I didn’t feel like it had the wow factor, electric banter & build up that some of her previous books have. I still really enjoyed it but it wasn’t one of my favorites.

If you’re a RomCom lover I would still recommend this along with highly suggesting you check out more from Rachel as well.

Thank you to NetGalley & Montlake for the ARC of Their Last Resort in exchange for an honest review.

Cole and Paige are coworkers and they aren’t exactly each others favorite person. Cole falls hard and first for Paige. Paige isn’t as fast with falling. Who Cole truly is is completely different from how Paige believes he is and really doesn’t take the time to get to know him and sometimes doesn’t always give him the chance.

This book fell flat for me. I didn’t feel a huge connection between the characters and there were times the book felt too fast and other times it felt too slow. There were times I laughed out loud and the banther between Cole and Paige was great and I really enjoyed the story.

If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers, workplace, slow burn, rom com check this out.

Paige Young is living in paradise, working a job she loves, and she finally feels like she really belongs somewhere… well, other than with her boss, Cole Clark. He’s just so infuriating, and smug, but boy does she look forward to their unparalleled banter sessions…

Their Last Resort was a hilarious and sweet, slow burn, workplace romance! Paige and Cole have been adversaries since the moment they met, but these two polar opposites share a simmering attraction that is impossible to ignore. And while they’ve become experts at avoiding their feelings, an incoming hurricane may bring them closer than ever…

Paige was raised traveling the world and never stayed in one place for long, and while she loved her life of adventure, she has finally found home while living and working at the Siesta Playa resort.

Cole grew up in a boring, beige house, with even more boring parents. And while he may be the number crunching manager in paradise, he wants a life completely different than the one he was brought up in. And then he meets the vibrant and exciting, Paige, who is basically the antithesis of everything he knew growing up… and he can’t get enough of her. Whether they’re fighting or kissing, Cole just wants her near…

I absolutely adored this tropical love story! Paige and Cole love to hate each other, but any day that they don’t see each other is worse than the last. Paige was hilarious and she constantly cracked me up! The slow burn romance was well done, and I enjoyed the beautiful Turks and Caicos setting… but with a hurricane! The staff at the resort were all great supporting characters, and I really enjoyed the way that Cole ends fighting for the woman he loves… his way.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

I'm a huge fan of RS Grey and much of this book encapsulates why. Funny, great banter and a cast of interesting characters, set in a beautiful location (I wish I was there, now that i'm in the midst of winter here!). That said, I adored Cole and only liked Paige who felt very flighty and perhaps this was intentional. Cole was a sweet character who throughout the story, demonstrated that he was a good, loyal and trustworthy friend, manager and when ready, boyfriend. Paige felt, well, less so. Less secure, less mature, and it was harder for this reader to identify with her. Overall, though, I laughed quite a bit, enjoyed the dynamics within the cast of characters and loved being on a beach in the midst of winter. Another fun book by this author!

R.S. Grey is the queen of romantic comedies! Mark my words...THEIR LAST RESORT will be the perfect beach-or-poolside romance for your 2024 summer getaway. The vibes were immaculate -- don't miss out on this one!

Cole & Paige are adorable! This was a fun read set in Turks & Caicos. This rom-com with a little spice was a quick, fun read.

I really wanted to like this one, but once Paige and Cole confessed their love for each other, I felt like I had missed something. It seemed like they had only interacted a handful of times and now they suddenly love each other. From 70% on, I felt like I was reading a completely different book. In theory it was a good plot, but it fell really really flat for me

I am a huge RS Grey fan. This books is entertaining and a quick and easy read.

Paige and Cole is an enemies to lover’s story with the atmosphere of a resort. The deceptions and workplace chemistry keeps the book moving along. Paige and Cole have a strong chemistry and banter.

If you are looking for a quick escape, this book will fill it.

Thank you to Net Galley and RS Grey for this ARC.

Loved this book. The perfecft beach read, or in my case, on the way to the beach, read! This book had everything we love about R.S. Grey. Steam, angst, enemies to lovers, in a tropical destination. I loved every single page.

This is a fun, light book to read. For of the beginning of the book is fun but once they fall for each other it just goes so fast. Almost like, “Bam! Madly in love for years”. I think if their relationship could have developed a little more slowly it would have been more believable and enjoyable as a reader.

I was a little disappointed in this book, because I have read books by this author, and really liked them! When I saw her name pop up here, I was so excited to get the early copy. Unfortunately, this enemies to lovers trope really fell flat for me. They were parts of the book that I enjoyed, but overall just wasn’t my favorite.

I've never read the author and thought it would be a good chance to be introduced to her writing.

It had a quirky, fun heroine and an elusive hero who the heroine always seems to be at odds with. I wouldn't call them enemies, though.

I had the most fun reading about the characters dealing with resort life shenanigans. Paige and Cole's romance was oddly boring compared to the rest of the story. Maybe because it was like workplace enemies...workplace enemies...workplace enemies...then BAM lustful encounters and professions of love.

Overall I was definitely entertained by this book. Fans of unrequited love, fun shenanigans, and quirky characters will definitely enjoy it.

For years R.S. Grey is always someone I read on KU whenever a new book is out so I was happy to read this new book! An island resort as the setting for a workplace enemies-to-lovers romcom was enjoyable and will make a great summer beach read.

This is a fun summer beach read. It just takes a storm to get these enemies to realize their true feelings. I love dual POV. It was good to see behind Cole’s tough exterior to see what a truly nice guy he was. Paige was little miss sunshine but it was good to see her inner thoughts as well. I’ve read quite a few of Ms. Grey’s books and they never disappoint. Thank you to NetGalley for this free advanced copy. I’m leaving this review voluntarily

I love a good R.S. Grey novel. Her books give me the romance fix I need. I know they will not be to to heavy but provide the right amount of angst to make the love story enjoyable. I love this change of scenery for this one as its usually based in city landscape. Overall a great read.

R.S. Grey's "Their Last Resort" whisks readers away to the sun-soaked shores of Turks and Caicos, where the biting banter between polar opposites Paige Young and Cole Clark takes center stage in this delightful beachside romance.

Paige, a spirited world traveler, thrives on organizing activities for the luxury island resort's guests. From bingo nights to adventurous cliffside hikes, she embraces life's adventures. On the flip side, Cole, the meticulous and by-the-book assistant director at the resort, prefers the stability of his number-crunching desk job. Their perfectly misaligned worlds collide in a daily battle of wits, showcasing a rivalry that is both entertaining and electric.

The story takes an unexpected turn when Paige discovers that Cole has been tasked with firing her, just as a hurricane threatens to disrupt their island paradise. The game of banter and rivalry is abruptly halted, forcing these two adversaries to confront their true feelings as they find themselves at odds, in peril, and forced to shelter in place together.

Grey weaves a narrative filled with sharp wit, humor, and undeniable chemistry between Paige and Cole. The banter between the characters is a highlight, providing a constant source of amusement as they navigate their tumultuous relationship. The tension between rivals transforms into a compelling exploration of hidden emotions, making the reader root for the characters to unravel the complexities beneath their surface-level disagreements.

As the storm rages outside, the tempest of emotions within Paige and Cole adds a layer of depth to the narrative. Grey skillfully balances humor with moments of vulnerability, creating a well-rounded romantic tale that keeps readers engaged from start to finish.

The setting of Turks and Caicos adds a lush backdrop to the unfolding romance, enhancing the overall charm of the story. Grey's descriptive prose brings the island to life, allowing readers to escape into the sun-drenched paradise alongside the characters.

In "Their Last Resort," R.S. Grey delivers a tropical tango of banter and romance, showcasing her prowess in crafting engaging and heartwarming love stories. If you're in the mood for a beach read filled with humor, sizzling chemistry, and a touch of vulnerability, this novel is the perfect escape.

This was lovely from start to finish. R. S. Grey has once again proven why she's a master of romantic comedies.

The characters are so lovable and relatable. I found myself instantly connecting with them and rooting for their happily ever after. The banter between the main characters is pure gold, and their enemies to lovers chemistry was perfect!

I am a huge fan of R S Grey and have thoroughly enjoyed her books for years. This one, for me, felt rushed. The set up and the location had so much potential, but the romance fell flat for me around the 50% mark.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. Paige and Cole work at this tropical resort. Paige is in charge of all the fun and games and Cole is in charge of running the resort. When he gets word, that Paige may be first to get cut for budget cuts, he realizes how much he likes her in his life. This was another fun, hot romantic read by R.S. Grey, a favorite go to author for me. Totally recommend this book and the characters.
