A reasonable effort, but by no means a classic. This shows Odi the Ostrich seeing that the Animals Olympics are coming to town – a town he can represent, as opposed to everyone else who has to have the weight of a whole country on them – and so deciding to enter. The issue is the story is so peril-free, and A-B, that all we really gain from this is the welter of alliterative animal characters mentioned in passing. Some are his opponents in the trials, many the team-mates in other sports (such as the javelin-throwing octopus – don't ask) and some his rivals in the grand final. Picture-wise the critters are given a lot of character, and all look fine in their Olympics sports gear, but the narrative really could have done with even the beginnings of some jeopardy to make itself entertaining enough.
