I definitely enjoyed this book, if you’re in a reading slump this will definitely help you, the story was very well written and it kept me off the edge of my seat, all the chapters were filled with lots of information and it was short, straight to the point, I definitely recommend and it’s a book I will reread.
Can it please NOT be my turn now? I'm officially creeped out by Theo Baxter's writing. It was a binge read for me, but now I'm also scared. Neat!
This book had a lot of promise, I was grabbed from the very beginning. Than it started to teeter off for me. I stopped liking the writing, our MC kept retelling or restating everything and it became annoying, all that being said, if you like a dark novel with some violence, I think you could enjoy this!
A’ quick paced story that touches on many serious themes, with many twists and turns throughout! Really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend to others.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of this book. This was a fast paced quick read. The storyline was great and the characters well done. Although it touched on an intense subject the author did a great job of making this an enjoyable thrill ride.
This book had me hooked from beginning to end. A great fast read! The plot was well written the twist made my jaw drop. Im actually going to re-read this one!!
Daisy is desperate to leave her controlling husband. While at the book store she meets a man who says he can help and that is when things get ugly. Going from bad to worse. It gripped me tight and omg the twist.
This was a good book, seemed to have all the ingredients: bullying, hatred, killing, deception and a happy ending with the love story, lovely
Really enjoyed this book, its about a woman called Daisy who meets a charming stranger who offers to kill her abusive husband...
In return she much kill his wife...
Such a fast paced thriller, I was hooked from beginning to end
This had promise but, it was a little to far fetched for me to really enjoy it. So, in this case this book is only getting 2 stars. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
On the whole this ticks all the boxes for a good psychological thriller. However I just couldn’t connect with it at all. I felt that whilst Daisy was desperate, she was also far too naive and trusting! It seemed too far fetched.
Loved this book - Daisy meets a stranger who offers to kill her abusive husband and in return she kills his wife. It’s the perfect crime, but now Daisy has to deal with being a suspect in her husbands murder AND she has to murder a complete stranger.
Super fast paced story that had me on the edge of my seat.
Daisy Costigan is desperate to leave her violent, controlling husband, Bruce. But she knows he’ll never let her go. And if she tries to escape, he’s promised he’ll do whatever it takes to track her down and have his revenge. She’s trapped.
One day Daisy meets a charming stranger in a bookstore. His name is Marco and he overhears Daisy’s terrified phone conversation with controller Bruce.
Marco makes Daisy an offer. He’ll take care of Bruce if she’ll help him with a little problem - his wife.
Daisy doesn’t really think he’s serious, but two days later Bruce is dead. And now Marco wants her to hold up her end of the deal. If she doesn’t, he says he’ll kill someone she loves.
Stalked by the unhinged Marco, Daisy finds herself in an impossible situation. Can she find a way to escape this terrifying man? Or will she be forced to do the unthinkable?
It’s Your Turn Now – the terrifying psychological thriller perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Daniel Hurst, Kiersten Modglin.
If you are fans of the authors mentioned above in the synopsis, then this book is for you. I was hooked on this story from the beginning and stayed up all night to finish it. Theo Baxter knows how to spin a psychological thriller.
There was never a dull moment in this book! Baxter brought us through the darkness of domestic abuse, the dangers of desperate decisions, and eluding a lurking lunatic. I enjoyed the development of this book, and the progression of the story from one of a trapped wife, Daisy, suffering at the hands of her husband, Bruce, to a scared Daisy trying to escape the evil mind games of mad man Marco. As the body count rises, so does Daisy sense of dread and foreboding.
The premise of this one sounded super interesting, but it just was not for me. The writing was not for me I couldn't connect with it and it did not keep me intrigued enough to continue. I had to DNF this one.
Daisy Costigan is caught in a harrowing and suspenseful tale of desperation, control, and a Faustian bargain that propels her into an inescapable nightmare.
Daisy, trapped in an abusive marriage with the menacing Bruce, seeks a way out but knows the consequences of attempting to escape. Enter Marco, a seemingly charming stranger who overhears Daisy's distressing conversation with her controlling husband. The offer he presents is both tempting and ominous—Bruce's removal in exchange for Daisy helping him with a troubling matter involving his own wife.
As the plot unfolds, we are drawn into a dark and dangerous game where the lines between right and wrong blur. Bruce's demise sets off a chain of events that push Daisy further into a world of manipulation and fear, with Marco's unhinged presence casting a menacing shadow over her every move.
The narrative navigates the complexities of Daisy's predicament, creating an atmosphere of suspense and tension. The psychological toll of Daisy's choices and the relentless pursuit by Marco keep the reader on edge, questioning the morality of the characters' actions and anticipating the next twist in the plot.
This story delves into themes of control, revenge, and the price one pays for making deals with the devil. The well-crafted suspense and exploration of the characters' moral dilemmas make this thriller a compelling and chilling read for those who enjoy psychological dramas with unexpected turns and a gripping narrative.
Excellent book! Great characters and intriguing storyline. Lots of twists and turns. My first Theo Baxter...will definitely not be my last.
Daisy is at bookstore when she meets a stranger with a ludicrous offer. He offers to kill her abusive husband and in return she kills his jealous/possessive wife. It’s the perfect crime. Daisy is finally free but not really, now she has to deal with being the prime suspect of her husbands murder and now she has to murder a complete stranger.
I really enjoyed the plot to this book and look forward to reading more books by Theo Baxter.

This was an amazing face paced story that made me sit on the edge of my seat. I finished it in just under 24 hours and makes me want to delve into this authors back catalogue.
My first Theo Baxter book but I will certainly be looking out for more of him. A bit of a slow burn but the tension is so well built and the storyline filled with unexpected twists and turns!
