This is a fake engagement romance which I usually do not care for but I found this book entertaining. I did feel that Tanner (hero) was somewhat immature in the beginning. Who goes back to someone after that person breaks your nose?! McKenna was a great heroine. This was an engaging fast paced read. I loved learning a bit about Alaska as well. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Entertaining and heartfelt story of love and to be loved. Couldn’t put it down - sooooo good
Tanner and McKenna come together in a pretentious way for their own purposes. Tanner comes from a family where they have each others backs. McKenna is a loner but experiences and sees the joy of family. Love the banter.
I was cheering McKenna on with her comebacks and I felt for her when she was disappointed. A true heroine. Tanner is all around a good guy who is sensitive and depicts the hero, all in all a man’s man.
Definitely would re-read. Would love this to be a series!

Tanner kind of brought it on himself...

Tanner hooked up with Ramona for a couple of weeks. He was all about the hook up and was thinking with his D. Ramona is bonkers (not in a good way). Not sure how well thought out it was to bring in another woman into the equation, but that's what Tanner does. He posts an ad and enters McKenna. McKenna is awesome and Tanner is into her and hooking up.
But Ramona doesn't take a hint....and she's back.....I kind of don't have a lot of sympathy for Tanner because he did bring this drama on himself.
But Katy writes a fast paced, engaging story.
Recommend.

I alway enjoy Katy’s amazingly written stories. I have missed her very much. This 5 star story was the perfect road trip entertainment.

Tanner finds himself in quite a bit of trouble so he puts an add in The Odds Are Good magazine for a fake fiancé. McKenna needs to make money to help her grandmother so she responds to Tanner’s add. It was suppose to be a summer event , no feelings no strings attached.

I enjoyed immensely this highly entertaining heartfelt story that is based in Alaska. The characters were perfectly created for this storyline. I loved the other characters that played an important role in the development of the story. A page turner that flowed well. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. Bottomline this is a must read.

Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.

Excellent series!

I love this book! It made me laugh, cry, and swoon! The seventh book in the Odds Are Good Series, is a thoroughly enjoyable fake fiancé, personal ad romance. Tanner Stewart, one of six siblings, puts an ad in the Odd Are Good magazine looking for a fake fiancé. McKenna Cabot is a college professor looking to make money over the summer to help pay for her grandmother’s care. Going to Alaska, posing as Tanner’s fake fiancé, seems the best way to resolve her issue.

This is a fantastic series. Katy Regnery writes wonderfully, enticing books and each one in this series just gets better and better. It was easy to read, quick-paced, and had an element of suspense and plenty of heat. I loved how effortless and natural the progression of Tanner and McKenna’s relationship turned out to be. I adored the rapport between Tanner and his siblings. The history of the gold rush and how the area was developed and deserted is fascinating and given in perfect increments. I want Tanner’s family… from his gram and paw-paw to his dad, to all of his siblings; they were so enjoyable and sassy. I hope there will be more of the Stewart siblings, I am completely invested in their stories. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley, and this is my honest review.

I can’t tell you how excited I am that Kate is writing this series again. I was devastated when she set it aside a few years ago. Anyway, I loved Summer in Skagway. The writing was engaging and the romance was so sweet.

Summer in Skagway is the most recent book in the "Odds Are Good Standalone Series". This series is one of my favorites of Kate's - there's just something about Alaska that I'm just crazy about. Tanner has a wacko ex so he places an ad in the Odds are Good magazine for someone to play his fake fiance hoping the ex will give up on him. McKenna lives in Seattle and is desperate for money to help pay for her grandmother's expensive Memory Care facility.. I love the way Kate compares Tanner to Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy and McKenna to Alice in Twilight so I have their images in my head as I read the book. As the story progresses, they learn about each other and their histories and realize that they like each other and that grows to more. The dual POV is perfect. Learning the history of Skagway and their town of Dyea and the gold rush that spawned them is what makes this story even more special. I give this story 5 stars and highly recommend this book and all the books in this series. They are truly standalones and can be read in any order.

Another well written, steamy and entertaining romance from this author. Set in and around Skagway, Aaska. Our laid back, rugged and viking-like, player hero is in a bit of a dilemma. Last summer he hooked up with a woman who ended up stalking him after they broke up. When Tanner discovers his crazy ex is coming back to work this year, he places an add in a 'lower 48' magazine for a fake fiancee for the duration of the summer season. McKenna, from Seattle, is in a financial bind and the lure of free board and the offer of a summer job as well as being a fake fiancee, is too good to pass up. Especially since Tanner's not her type and she isn't his type.

This book is very dialogue driven between the H/h, with lots of interesting information about the 1800's gold rush in the Yukon thrown in randomly, which I enjoyed. I've been to Alaska twice, (on a cruise - LOL), so I could picture the areas quite well. Tanner's family and five siblings, who make lots of appearances, take out tours and arrange treks and other activities for tourists. They own and run a resort, made up of cabins in a wilderness area near Skagway. This book is a great addition to this series and is a stand alone romance with great chemistry between the H/h. My thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC. (If you haven't read this author's books, you are missing out!) 4.5 stars.

Summer in Skagway is a delightful not so fake engagement story that returns Katy Regnery’s fans to Alaska. Tanner Stewart advertises for a fake fiancée to hopefully protect him from last summer’s girl friend who turned into a psychotic stalker. McKenna needs money to keep her grandmother in Alzheimers care. These two soon find they actually have a lot in common including desire. In the Stewart family Ms. Regnery has created more than one character that is intriguing and deserves a more extensive exploration…hint…hint. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.
