A fabulous book looking at the history of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath from whence the individuals were born up to the groups farewell tour in 2016.
Full of images, information, discographies for the group and each band member.
Note: this is a republished book and the text only goes up to 2016 - anything any of the band has done since is not included.
I received this book from Netgalley in return for a honest review.
There's a lot of times when I gasps and surprised while reading this book. I didn't know that they've been through A LOT of changing line-ups, and all the drama from the rock and roll scene based on the release of their albums and reunion. On top of that, they're definitely a legend!
A fantastic read, and a must have for any Black Sabbath fan. Although, I am not a fan of the band ,I found the book interesting and fun to read . The author does a great job holding the reader’s attention.
As a longtime fan of Black Sabbath and Ozzy, I absolutely enjoyed learning more about their history. Very well written.
A real treat for fans of the band and of music history alike. It doesn’t present as well on kindle as it would in hard copy, but it still looks good and there are some terrific images included.
I have to admit, I am not really an avid reader of biographies, but there are just some people out there who intrigue me and Ozzy Osbourne has always been one of those people. Known for being the lead singer of Black Sabbath his weird and wonderful antics over the years have been well documented. But then having watched 'The Osbornes' reality tv show back in the day and see his wife Sharon on tv often, we also got to see a more gentle and caring side to his character.
This book is a must for all Black Sabbath and Ozzy fans out there. It documents his early life in Alson, Birmingham, to how he met his band mates and them becoming one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Love by all generations. No details are spared about the drugs and alcohol abuse that eventually lead the band to split or his relationship with his first wife and how he came to meet Sharon when he decided to go solo and she became his manager. Nor do we miss out on any of the crazy things he has done, and there are plenty. He was totally insane in places.
This is a really lovely tribute to the man himself and indeed his other bandmates. It Is filled with photographs and interview snippets which I am sure will be loved by anyone interested in the bank or even music in general.
My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is a specialist book looking at the history of Black sabbath from their origins from the streets of Aston Birmingham to modern day stardom and the final concert at the NEC would interest a musical lover as the start of the genre of Heavy metal and influenced many a band and also charts the break up and the many line ups of the band as well
Fantastic! Black Sabbath is one of my all time favorite bands. Ozzy is a legend and will always be the King!
