Having read some but not all of the books in this series I was surprised by the content in the book. Many thoughts and conversations involving lust and more. I have read plenty of books by the author and the books didn't contain this kind of material. I am disappointed. The book was written as if it were a regular contemporary novel but with Amish characters. The writing was disjointed. Bring back the Amish books from when they were first being written, the characters had respect for themselves and their community. I cannot recommend this book.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

Miracle at Promise Lodge is a sweet Amish Christian story by storyteller Charlotte Hubbard. I enjoy her books and knowledge of the Amish culture and faith. The writing is clean and has a good message. I definitely recommend this to lovers of Amish books. A copy was provided, but these are my honest words.
A delightful read about finding and becoming your best self. All lovers of Amish books will enjoy this beautiful tale of becoming your own.
Ms Hubbard has long been one of my favorite authors and this is one of my favorite series she’s written.
I love the way her characters become independent, yet at the same time, become part of a community where they thrive and grow. Leaving behind their old communities where they aren’t treated well to establish a community of love, opportunities, and new beginnings brought joy to this reader.
I recommend reading the entire series to meet the wonderful characters.
I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley. Opinions are my own.
This is a beautiful inspirational romance novel that captures the elements of faith, family, and love. The writing is gentle and descriptive, transporting the reader to the picturesque surroundings of Promise Lodge. It is a heartwarming and uplifting novel.
Many thanks to Kensington and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
A wonderful conclusion to the Promise Lodge series. Isaac Chupp is back at Promise Lodge this time proclaiming he is turning over a new leaf. Hot on his heels is Maria, the hot-headed young lady whose only mission is to get married. Will Isaac and Marie be able to convince the residents of Promise Lodge that they are serious about turning their life around? Or will they continue to wreak havoc where every they are?
Such a wonderful story about the residents of Promise Lodge. New births to arrive, a bad boy returning to the fold he once rebelled against, and several fresh faces added to the mix. This book captured my interest from the first chapter till the very end. I laughed, cried, and routed along with the residents of this quaint small town hoping they all get their HEA.
As this was the first time I was reading about the residents of Promise Lodge there were some details I was not too familiar with, however I plan to back track and read the whole series as I absolutely adore this small town and its people.
I received an ARC from the publishers and NetGalley and submit my honest review.
I have followed this series from the beginning. As with the previous books it did not disappoint. Revisiting the characters and getting to know new ones is a pleasure. There is always an outpouring of love and restoration.
A beautiful story of how even when mistakes have been made in your youth you can make a good life for. I really enjoyed the positive messages in this book.
Promise Lodge is the place to go and live. The townsfolk are welcoming while the weather can be a challenge. Spring has sprung. Many mothers to be are anticipating the births of their babies. With a plethora of newcomers and the weather changing, Promise Lodge is the picture of a thriving community. Will bad boy Isaac Chupp be able to shed his reputation in order to find a new start? Filling in for Dale Kraybill while he is on his honeymoon, Isaac finds temptations and his road to redemption hard. When he starts to help ditzy Maria find her purpose, Isaac may just find his. I have always loved how Ms. Hubbard writes this community to show compassion and love but also not afraid to use tough love. The characters as usual make one turn the pages, laugh, and cry. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.
This book is the eighth and last in the Promise Lodge series. While I enjoyed it, I had difficulty keeping track of the characters for at least the first third of the book. I’d recommend starting at the beginning of the series. Everything will make more sense.
I’m sorry to see the Promise Lodge stories end since this wonderful setting and characters seem so real and fun to visit. The author does a great job crafting heart-tugging tales. Along with the regular residents we love, we get to know new characters who move to Promise Lodge. This novel involves several young couples with developing relationships—some a surprise connection. However, they all seem to get too carried away physically—something I prefer not to read in detail. I prefer the conservative characters who wait until the wedding to express physical affection. Still, I wish this wonderful series, which is best read in order, would continue. I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own. #MiraclesatPromiseLodge #NetGalley
I have read several of Charlotte Hubbard's previous book & always enjoyed them. I didn't realize this was part of a series when I began reading it. This could be why I was somewhat confused with all of the characters. I had to keep going back to check on who was was but once I became engrossed in the storyline, it was very entertaining.
I have read many Amish books in the past and this was one of the reasons I wanted to read this one. I enjoy their way of life. This book also compares some of the more Amish traditions along with Mennonite traditions. Since this book also has a Missouri setting, I was even more anxious to read it since I am born and raised in Missouri.
In this book, Isaac Chupp is looking for a fresh start in Promise Lodge. He has had a somewhat reckless reputation as he has rebelled against his upbringing and his father who is a strict Amish Bishop in a nearby community. He lands in Promise Lodge with a job helping to take care of a bulk store owned by Dale who has just married his sweetheart and wants to take her on a wedding trip. Isaac has to prove himself reliable & prove that he has changed. He doesn't do a very good job as he becomes enamored with another local & tries to push himself on her. After that fiasco, he has to work even harder to prove himself not only to Dale but also to others in the community that he has previously wronged. This is a story of forgiveness and redemption with lots of twists and turns.
Once I was able to sort out all of the characters, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was given a copy of this book by the publisher Kensington Books and the author. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who enjoys reading Amish or Christian books as this is a wholesome read.
Maybe it would’ve made a difference if I read the other books in the series first (didn’t realize it was #8) but it took me almost half of the book to get down all of the names of side characters. It was also confusing that people like Dale and Rosetta randomly were the focus on the narration, when normally it was Isaac, Maria, Vera and Ezra.
Not my favorite but a pretty clean romance that others might like.
This was a good book, I enjoyed reading. It had new characters as well as old ones from previous books. I did have to stay with it and keep up, because it seem like alot was going on but it could have been from wrapping up the series. All in all I thought it was a good book and thought it ended well.
I was given this book by Netgalley and was not required to leave a review.

This book was a joy to read and I highly recommend it and the entire series to anyone who is a fan of Amish fiction.

Miracles at Promise Lodge by Charlotte Hubbard ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is book 8th in The Promise Lodge series. Many reader read this as stand alone, however I feel it should be read in order, you will feel like you missed a lot.
We meet many new characters and challenges in this book. Some good, some not so much. You also discover more about differences between The Amish and The Mennonite.
Lots of happy weddings, babies, as well as faith and forgiveness.
When as else fails remember it takes A Village to live a happily ever after.
I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. Pre-order your copy today. Releases Feb 20th, and continue the journey to The Promise Lodge.
Miracles at Promise Lodge by Charlotte Hubbard, book eight in her Promise Lodge series, is an entertaining, sweet, tender and endearing read with moments of faith, moments that had me pondering and reflecting, and even moments that were totally unexpected, which caused a tad bit of surprise and shock. Promise Lodge is an Amish community in Missouri, where mothers-to-be are anticipating the arrival of their little miracles, one young man's life takes an unexpected turn, and a former Promise Lodge resident's return creates disruption. Although I enjoyed catching up with characters from earlier in the series, once the new characters were added in, I struggled a bit to keep everyone and their stories straight. Still, in all, it was an enjoyable Amish novel about family, faith, forgiveness, and the joy of being surrounded by a supportive community.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Miracles at Promise Lodge
Charlotte Hubbard takes her time introducing you to each of the characters and their problems in MIRACLES AT PROMISE LODGE and how they are feeling. I immediately felt as if I knew them all and was right there at the kitchen table hashing things out and praying. In no time, I was totally sucked in to their lives and the issues they were dealing with. The plot is very interesting and had me turning the pages late into the night. Be prepared not to do anything else once you start reading this well written and hopeful tale. I found myself thinking about all of these wonderful characters long after I finished reading. How strong these people had to have been to leave their Amish community to start another one. Speaking of strong, wait until you meet Isaac, who has come to Coldstream for a fresh start. Only, his reputation has preceded him and just about everyone is freaking out that he is there.
Three sisters leave their Amish church community to start a new one. One where the women are valued and not belittled or abused. MIRACLES AT PROMISE LODGE introduces you to Amish women that you aren't used to reading about. These women are independent and behave in a way that the bishop wouldn't be happy with. These three sisters can not stand the ways things are handled in their community in Coldstream so they buy an abandoned camp ground and turn it into Promise Lodge. A place where women can come and be treated as an equal. A place for new beginnings. MIRACLES AT PROMISE LODGE is the eighth book in the Promise Lodge series and it was wonderful to catch up with my old friends. When Isaac arrives at the store he hopes to work at he meets Vera Brubaker, who has come to Coldstream to help her aunt, who has been put on bed rest trying to avoid another miscarriage.
Charlotte Hubbard is now on my author radar and she will have me running to every book she releases and MIRACLES AT PROMISE LODGE is exactly why. When it was over, I wanted to keep reading and stay in the characters business. I was giggling, laughing out loud and even holding back tears as I watched each of the characters grow. Charlotte Hubbard pulls you right in to all of their lives and once you start, you won't be able to put this wonderful story down. As an added bonus, Charlotte includes recipes in the back of the book. I would love to be able to visit MIRACLES AT PROMISE LODGE and indulge in some of these wonderful recipes.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Fresh Fiction. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I have never read a book by Charlotte Hubbard before. I enjoy Amish books and intro stated perfect for fans of Shelley Shepard Gray and Beth Wiseman.
This is not the first book in the series and I did feel a bit lost with the back stories.
I felt like the book was a bit all over the place with the different story lines. Again, this could be because it’s in a series and I am not familiar with the past books. It wasn’t like other Amish books I have read, it was a bit more advanced for Amish.
I think I would like to start from the beginning to see if I can get a better feel for the characters.
