Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.

This book is part of a series, i say this because reading this book felt like when you get into a group of friends and everyone has an inner joke and you don't know it so you pretend to find it funny and don't feel left out, i liked it yes, but it felt incomplete.

Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Anabelle Bryant

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.

Evelyn Osborne is a member of Society, but the rejection of her own father continues to effect her own happiness. Asked to sing at Vauxhall Gardens, she meets Malcom Walker, a carpenter. Tarot cards, tea leaves and the stars she adores predicts a true love. But the man she loves is running from his own pain and resists to commit to a life together. There has to be a solution when it's a matter of class.
A very painful journey to seek a future together. Open bedroom door.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book from NetGalley.

Evelyn is an Earl's daughter. Her mother died when she was young and her father has ignored her most of her life. His scandalous behavior has made her unworthy among the ton. Even though her cousin Graham and his family have been kind, it isn't enough to stop her loneliness and isolation. The owner of Vauxhall hears her sing at church and asks her to sing for a limited engagement at his pleasure gardens. With Graham's encouragement she accepts. She meets the carpenter, Malcolm, building her stage, and their romance begins. Malcolm feels unworthy because he believes he was responsible as a teen for his younger brothers death. He stays on the move to avoid attachments. There is a theme of forbidden love throughout the story. In their case, it's her higher social status making it unacceptable for her to marry a carpenter of lower station. I enjoyed the Vauxhall setting of this series and the side characters including a tarot card reader and Graham's hidden love. I thought the conclusion was too simplistic. Evelyn, always with servants, having never cooked, cleaned, washed laundry etc. or not having all the money she needed at her disposal, leaving her life of privilege for a man with no stable job, money, or a home. Think about this girl! Luckily for her, this problem with finances is taken care of quickly in the epilogue.

I enjoyed this instalment in the Vauxhall Voices. Evelyn had a lovely voice, and her brother talked her into accepting an offer to sing for the crowds at Vauxhall. Malcolm fell under her spell while working on the stage she was to perform on. At first, he wished to end the job and move on from London, but as his feelings grew for Evelyn, he did not want to leave. With a little mysticism in the background, their love blossomed. I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next in the series.

I received a copy through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.

I have read the previous books in the series and enjoyed them and this one also did not disappoint. This is the third installment of the series and is a sweet story with delightful characters. Malcolm is a carpenter and a bit of a drifter, not staying in any one place for too long. He is here to build an arena at Vauxhall Gardens. Evelyn is a very talented singer, and she will be debuting her talent at this arena. She never thought love was in the cards for her, but when she meets Malcolm she can't deny her feelings and the sparks between them. The attraction is instant between them both, but their class difference is a barrier to their love, because she is the daughter of an earl. In addition to this, there are other complications they will have to face before the story comes to a happy conclusion.
A beautifully written, tender love story with lots of emotion and steam! The characters were well-crafted and they had truly great chemistry. A wonderful addition to the series!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and Oliver Heber Books and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Suspense, intrigue, forbidden love, beautiful music and the historical ambience of Vauxhall Gardens. This story had me reading into the wee hours of the night and wouldn’t let me put it down until the end!

Evelyn and Malcolm are a forbidden type of romance, she is the daughter of an Earl and Malcolm is a carpenter at Vauxhall. But that’s just the beginning of a twisting, turning, lovely, with some surprises, story.

This was actually the first book of this series that I have read but it didn’t matter, I was able to read it without knowing any of the previous stories. However, I will definitely be going back and reading the other stories in this series and I’m absolutely positive I will enjoy those just as much as I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

I can’t wait to read more from Anabelle Bryant!! Brava!! ♥️📚

Bryant's latest is tons of fun. First of all, there was just enough of a mystic element to make it a really fun read this time of year. And the hero? Yum! Finding out his past secrets, and how the heroine would react, kept me reading. I would definitely recommend for fans of Bryant's earlier works!

I received an ARC from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed Anabelle Bryant's third book in her Vauxhall Voices series. It was a deliciously romantic romp through London's Vauxhall Gardens with interesting characters and intriguing storylines. I loved Malcolm and Evelyn, their back stories and how their love affair grew into a forever love song.
The prologue had me wondering if we will learn more about Dante and his Tarot cards in the next book...I certainly hope so!

Midnight Love Song is the third book in the Vauxhall Voices series.

The story begins with a reading of tea leaves and tarot cards by the mysterious Dante.

Evelyn believes that love is not in the cards for her. She does her best to stay out of the public's eye due to her father's notorious antics. But she is convinced to sing by her cousin.

Malcolm Walker is convinced that his past will never allow him to find happiness. So, he travels from place to place to avoid forming attachments until he meets Evelyn. When she and Malcom meet each are convinced their paths are aligned.

This was a sweet love story. Each of the books in the series can be a stand-alone read.

Such a lovely and romantic story. Vauxhall Gardens, such a nice place to fall in love, especially for two lovers of the stars, Lady Evelyn Osbourne and Mr. Malcolm Walker. They were such a nice couple together, but they did have secrets they weren’t telling. They both needed to let go of the past and live in the present. They were two sides of one coin that fit perfectly together once they realized their future together. I have so loved this series so far. Can’t wait for the next one to be released.

Lovely story of Evelyn Osbourne and Malcolm Walker at Vauxhall Gardens. Loved these characters and was hooked on the story from the beginning. Part of the Vauxhall voices series but can be read as a standalone.

Evelyn Osbourne has the voice of an angel & is approached by Mr Barrett the owner of Vauxhall Gardens asking if she’ll sing on stage in the Gardens. Evelyn has always known love wasn’t written in the stars, not with her family turmoil, and yet when she meets Malcolm Walker, she can’t help but question her fate.
Malcolm never stays long in any one spot which makes working as a carpenter at Vauxhall Gardens the perfect fit. Life has taught him to keep moving and while that prohibits any lasting relationships. When Evelyn and Malcolm meet there’s no denying the stars have aligned in their favour.
The third book in the series & it’s easily read on its own. I loved this gentle romance, Eve is an Earl’s daughter & Malcolm a carpenter but it doesn’t stop them falling hard & fast for each other but with them coming from different classes can they forge a relationship? There’s also a secondary romance featuring Graham, the all knowing fortune teller Dante & a mysterious ‘parcel’ which Malcolm helps to deliver. I loved both Malcolm & Eve & loved their emotional journey to a HEA
My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Evelyn and Malcolm's story is my favorite!!
Midnight Love Song starts off with a mysterious tarot reading, from a not so common fortune teller...that drew me in right away. I love the characters and that it's not your typical Lady falls for Lord type story. To see two different characters, from two different backgrounds come together in such a way was a refreshing treat.

Evelyn is trying to hide her families not so favorable history, Malcolm is running from his past as well not staying in one spot for long. When Evelyn is begrudgingly talked into performing at Vauxhall Gardens, she meets Malcom, who's working as a carpenter, building the stage she'll perform on. Though she's beautiful and has the voice of an angel, Malcolm doesn't like complications like love, Evelyn wants love, but isn't ready. How they come together, learning about themselves and each other along the way makes for a great story. The characters are relatable in their personalities and passions, and the history and setting are, as always, superb.

If you haven't read the Vauxhall Series, please do. They're all great on their own, but as a series, they'll bring everyone together and I know you'll find your favorite couple too.

Anabelle Bryant’s Midnight Love Song is the latest in a new series – Vauxhall Voices. What happens when two wounded people who are living in the shadows come out to face the light, life and love? In Midnight Love Song you get to experience their journey, the characters strength, and resilience, both of which the main characters Lady Evelyn Osborne and Malcom Walker have in spades, although they don’t always know that.

The story opens with Lady Evelyn agreeing, albeit reluctantly, to sing several performances at Vauxhall Gardens. The Barretts had heard her sing before and wanted to feature her, which her cousin Graham eagerly encouraged and self-appointed himself as her manager. Lady Evelyn has been living in the shadows, away from polite society due mostly in part to a neglectful father whose past and current behaviors were beyond scandalous and whose reputation always threatened to tarnish her own.

The author introduces Evelyn and Malcom, who is basically the head carpenter at Vauxhall and is building the stage for Evelyn, which he didn’t initially know during their first meeting. As the story progresses, we see two people who come into their own and start to let other people into their life, into their hearts. Malcom is continuously punishing himself for an event in his past and moves arounds, so he never forms any attachments until he meets Evelyn. What I loved about this story was that the author allowed Evelyn to come out of her protective shell and decide what she wanted, which definitely included Malcom and she wasn’t afraid to fight for it. This was a satisfying and enjoyable story.

I have truly enjoyed this series, learning about Vauxhall and the delightful characters that Anabelle Bryant brings to life. While you don’t have to read the others in the series, I highly recommend that you do! Evelyn and Malcom’s story along with a few other backstories was a binge read for me and you should definitely read the book!!

I received an ARC of Midnight Love Song, from NetGalley and voluntarily read the book.
