ARC
Sequel to The Daughter’s of the Lamp, this delightful ARC offers it all- friend drama, evil sorceresses ,humour and magic!!
Ever since Sahara came back from Egypt, she can’t help but think of El Ghoula , the witch , who nearly killed all of Sahara’s family. But she also can’t forget about her cousins Naima and Ahmed(Nicknamed Fanta) who helped her through difficult times, and so, she can’t wait to go back to meet them. This time, her BFF Vicky is there too, so what can be more perfect? But there is a growing tension between her and her friend. They once seemed inseparable, but now Vicky is secretive, and sad , and their friendship is slowly fraying. Along with this , Sahara can’t help but feel that El Ghoula will be back soon now that she was in Egypt for the summer. She tries to shake off the feeling, but in the end, she’s right. Fayrouz - El Ghoula - has attacked a family friend, Umm Zalabya .
In addition to that, the magical hamsa 🪬 pendant that once belonged to her mother is glowing and shaking and dragging her to Ali Baba’s treasure chamber, to the magical jinni lamp. Sahara knows that it is what Fayrouz is after, and that it was dangerous to go to the chamber in case Fayrouz would see her - but after the hamsa had dragged her there, she wondered why it had done so — and showed her a vision of her mother. Will the girl who never used to believe in magic protect Ali Baba’s chamber and the lamp from Fayrouz, find out the secret of the lamp and the hamsa, and find out more about her mom? Read this book to find out!!!💚💚
This is an AMAZING book!!! It was even BETTER than the Daughters of the Lamp!! It had so much more tension, excitement and emotion !! The jealousy and friend drama between her and Vicky that seems trivial plays a crucial role in the book, and makes it so much more real and relatable. I also loved that the cousins act like a trio in this book ! 10/10 ⭐️!!!

Thank you Netgalley for this book!!
