Gorgeous artwork!
I love that some of the page outlines are in color. Also love that the continuous design pages are repeated. My only complaint is that I wanted more!
This would be a fun book to color. There are plenty of skulls, and creepy mystical imagery to please your imagination. I like that some of the designs are simple, and others are very complex and ornate - whatever your mood, you should find something dark and fantastical here.
The one thing I regret about this book is that I had the digital copy and couldn't color the pictures. I cannot wait until I get my hands on the actual book. The art is stunning, the pictures look like they would be super relaxing to color.
4 stars
Downloaded this colouring book onto my ipad and coloured it in digitally and I really enjoyed it. The pictures are stunning
I really love this coloring book and it took me back to my teen years so that was fun. I'll definitely be coloring everything in here.
I loved this coloring book! The vibes and aesthetic were so great, and they fit the theme so well. I already know several people I'll be recommending this one to!
The pictures and designs in this coloring book are beautiful. They run the gamut from patterns stamped across the whole page to beautifully drawn women in gothic clothing. This is something I’d buy for myself and for many of my friends. The illustrator is a very talented person!
Whilst Gothic style has somewhat gone out of style, this color in book is beautifully produces, and would be a lot of fun to use just for the design and artistic content.. There is so much that has great appeals to any book colorist . Thanks you NetGalley and the publishers for the DR
Really cool! I love to see some more alternative coloring books. There is a good variety of things depicted, and felt nice to work in. Recommended
This is a beautifully illustrated coloring book filled with gothic and, at times, macabre images. Detailed and intricate, this would be a joy to color.
This was so fun and the art is beautiful. I’ve tried other “adult” coloring books in the past that were just too busy with so many small segments, But this I could get lost in and do it all day!
It's a coloring book, so it's hard to give it a rating. It is well formatted with great images and gives a good gothic vibe. Recommended for goths everywhere!
Tehre's a funny oke about goth people wearing just blak, but then we found some goth icons thatwear pink, sparkels and things like that, Thatb was my approach for this book, and was a trully fun experience. There wasn't lot of omplicated images, but there was differents styles and a variaty of themes, which make this enjoyable
Beautiful high quality colouring book designed for adult and young adults female is particularly. Each image is on a page of its own and features a bleed through back on the back.
The designs range from basic to extremely detailed, giving the reader a variety of options depending on how much time,
Lots of room to make each image your own and display one's unique artistic style and creativity. All the pages center around the theme:gothic as it pertains to literature, film and tv. It is definitely more modern/horror in nature that gothic. I feel like it is reminiscent of The Craft and tattoo and fashion style gothic than literature. Still fun and very high quality. Thank you @netgalley and @chartwell books for the review copy. I love the macabre and dark imagery.
You will get all the mystery of gothic style and the horror too. It is not too crazy though. There are some really beautiful pictures to color in this book. Find florals and gothic fashion with several eerie as well as dynamic images. There are pictures and full pages including a variety of gothic culture and gothic architecture. Even if you think gothic style is not your type you would be surprised at some of the beauty in these pages that you can color to make them your own. It is time to embrace your dark side with this grown-up coloring book in time for Halloween. There are more than 120 coloring pages. If you prefer marker, gel pen, or colored pencils compared to crayons this is perfect for that. You will also see vintage-style florals, witches, skulls, bats, and more in this coloring book.
Double-sided spreads can be awesome, and the wallpaper images on the back are lovely. If the hard copy includes quality paper, there are many media options, and the double-sidedness would not be an issue. There is a nice mix of portraiture, architecture, and objects. The line work is especially heavy on most images, which can be limiting. Some images seem incomplete, and there is a lot of white space, which can be good if you want to add your own elements, but if you're looking for a mix of intricate and simplistic, it lacks cohesiveness. It does feel AI-generated, which can be a no-go for some colorists.
Okay images, but a lot of them have heavy black areas already leaving a sparse amount to actually be colored. My teens weren't very jazzed by any of the images.
What a beautiful, yet quirky colouring book. The designs are original, detailed and truly macabre. There are some fabulous pictures to colour, and really make your own - the illustrations are stunning. I did think the left hand pages were too repetitive. If you’re into all things spooky, you’ll love this.
Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group – Chartwell Books and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review.
Pros: I was intrigued by the cover of this coloring book because it felt like a departure from the light and happy subjects of most coloring books . . . which is a good thing! I love seeing topics that appeal to all kinds of readers/colorers. I thought the pages in this were gorgeous and that it would make a fantastic gift paired with a fun set of gothic colored pencils.
Cons: None! I know this book won't be for everyone, but there will be people who it is exactly for and will be thrilled that their interests are reflected in the coloring book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Chartwell Books for the opportunity to read this book.
Nice gothic colouring book with drawings in different styles. Some are scarier than others.
