I want to start off that I loved the art within the book. This is so unique and added to the reading journey. I was not a fan of the format and it was quite difficult to read because of that. I’m not sure if that’s because it is not published yet or if the book will be like that as well. I had a hard time focusing cause it just seems like one never really ending paragraph for a whole book. I liked her portraying sex work in a positive light. A lot of the scenes came off cringy to me tho. I’ve never read anything by Sophie before so I’m not sure if all of her books are written like this. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it.
Literally one of the spiciest books I have ever read ??? Holy helllll Sophie lark !!! The storytelling was a bit wishy washy at times but I loved Ramses and Blake !!!
3.5 stars. Good. Started really strong for the first 50-60% of the book and then I lost a little interest in the relationship. It ebbed and flowed for me in that last half. I will continue to read this author’s work! And loved the author’s note at the end of the book.
Rounded up from 4.5
Blake is a billionaire obsessed with Blake. She knows him from before he was ever successful, and now she agrees to play a game with him. But will they follow the rules?
This is a billionaire, BDSM romance. I thought the connection between the MCs was way too deep way too fast, like I missed 50-100 pages of content that would justify it. But I loved their communication, and I did enjoy their relationship. The third act break up, although justified, was an utter overreaction, but that groveling was just perfect!
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Sophie Lark can never write a bad book in my eyes. I love every single book she releases. The characters, the plot, it was all so well thought out and nicely written. Reading it made me feel like I was actually there experiencing the words written on the page!!!
If I could give this book 100 stars I would but definitely 5/5 stars!
Ugh Sophie Lark never disappoints.
Blake and Ramses were fucking adorable and while I’m not on the spectrum, the way Blake’s autism was portrayed was perfect. I had a feeling she was autistic before I finished the book, just because I’ve seen and heard and read the different ways autism shows itself, especially in women.
Blake is such a fucking powerhouse and Ramses is definitely her equal and that epilogue 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. ‘SCUSE ME.
The spice do be spicing.
I love everything about this book!! The story was great, the characters were entertaining, and the spicy scenes were off the chart!!
Ramses and Blake were both successful, and strong characters willing to make hard decisions to get what what they wanted, and needed, out of life. Both characters loved hard, submitted when needed, and learned from the mistakes that they made along the way. I love when authors allow their characters to submit and enjoy not always being in control.
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this title by Sohie Lark!
Ramses is the top dog when it comes to stock markets. He's a powerful man who controls every room he's in. If his work ethic doesn't intimate you, his physical appearance will. He's built like an army tank. He's a Billionair with whatever he wants at his fingertips. While at a horse race, his rival walks in with a beautiful woman on his arm. She becomes his new conquest.
Blake is a highly paid escort with her own goals. With a tough background that only makes her work harder for what she has, she is striding for nothing but the top, and she's determined to hit her goal.
She only has three rules:
1. She's not exclusive to one person.
2, She never sleeps over.
3, red means stop, in any situation.
But ramses has set his sights, and when she gets to his place and sees he's set out a body suit, cat ears, and a collar that says 'minx' on the front... well, they both learn a lot about themselves.
This was so good. New kinks unlocked? I didn't think there was more, but apparently, I like cats now 😂
Learning about each mc's background and watching their growth was amazing. (And hot) The side characters were hilarious, too. Sadie and briggs popping up as they did were a great background vibe.
This was a delicious spicy read 🔥
Thank you, netgally, Bloom books, and Sophie Lark for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
🖤
"And when you make it all the way to the top, don't forget to send the elevator back down!"
"I kind of thought you'd have a cat."
"I've been thinking of getting one."
"You should. It's life-changing."
"Even Briggs can't take care of me like you do."
"Of course not. I'm the only one who fits in the kitty suit."
This gave me the spice! Pretty cover, great title, the story was exciting! I enjoyed the book. I didn’t have to think much and it was a good in between book before a more serious read. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
This was my first book I’ve read from Sophie Lark and after hearing all the hype from her other books it’s safe to say I get it. She has me.
This book might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but personally I really, really enjoyed it.
A finance bro who transfers all $7.2B as a gesture of ultimate submission… please get to know.
I need another book with Blake and Ramses dominating Wall Street together, like right now!
Thank you to the publishers for the opportunity to read Minx ahead of the release date. It was amazing!
This books was actually really fun to read! The smut is amazing and the story was engaging. One of the best part though is the illustrations, they were amazing and I kept turning the page hoping to find one more!
This book is something special!
Blake is a strong, hard working woman, hell bent on creating the life she never had for her and her sister. Ramses is a self made billionaire with a power that gets him anything he wants. And now, now he wants Blake.

This one was super cute. I loved the story line, I love the revenge plot, I love the supporting characters (and I CANNOT wait to read Briggs story) and I love that I got to read it. The only thing I wish it had more of was banter, a few loose ends tied up, and one specific trope that doesn't have anything to do with Blake and Ramses but does have to do with someone I found in this story, and I wish I had that closure.
Thank you Sourcebooks, Bloom, and Netgalley for this one!
I had seen this book recommended in a reading group but knew nothing about it other than it was smutty. It had a lot of potential but didn't sing for me. The premise was great, I loved the inclusion of a neurodiverse lead, but some of the similes/plot points were illogical or felt tossed in. I had fun reading it though and will try another book from this author when the opportunity arises.
Minx by Sophie Lark
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
POV: Dual POV
Tropes: Billionaire, he falls first, emotional scars.
This was my first read from Sophie Lark although I had seen her books being punted around social media for quite some time. Thankfully, it did not disappoint.
Minx follows a billionaire, Ramses, who makes it his next big challenge to win over high priced, elite escort, Blake.
“But the memory that carries me back to sleep is the feeling of Blake in my arms, heavy and calm. My breath slowed to match hers. She was a gravity that pulled me in until I felt a peace so whole and complete, it seemed like the world world had finally come into balance.”
I loved the fact that both MCs were strong and independent characters, and that for once with the billionaire trope, there was no damsel in distress in sight.
It was definitely spicy and kinky, and with that said, incredibly well written.
If you’re a fan of contemporary romance with a heavy dose of sex and kink, then this one is for you!

Blake and Ramses
Blake is a high-end and very wealthy escort, smart and Ramses is a billionaire who runs his own investment firm.
Ramses hires Blake because he becomes completely obsessed with the idea of being with her. Blake takes him on as a client. Ramses and Blake are two very bright, strong personalities. Their relationship is very erotic sensual. The author gave the reader some insight into the characters. They relate to and understand each other. Both have emotional backstories it help connect to them.
The ebook NSFW illustrations throughout Minx are just better in color the black and white look weird. This was a little different kind of story I have read from this author. I enjoyed this book just the pet play wasn't my cup of tea skip those part.
This is the first Sophie Lark book that really touched my heart. Seeing Blake deal with a speech delay in her youth really resonated with me personally. It was so refreshing to see representation.
While in most of Sophie Lark's books I feel the story often comes second to the spice, the story really stood out to me this time. I really enjoyed the banter between Blake and Ramses and the build up of their relationship. I loved the risks that were involved. This was a lot of fun.
Don’t look at me like that - this was fresh and fantastic. If you think you’ve read it all, no you haven’t. I LOVED every page of this.
Interesting couple, interesting story, interesting kink. A quick and fun read.
This book was not as good as other books written by Sophie Lark but overall it wasn't bad and kind of interesting or good. I enjoyed reading it.
Ramses is self-made man and he gets what he wants. Blake caught his eye and is now his top priority and she wondered what took him so long. Ramses decides to create a game to play with Blake and she changes up the rules even if he will never follow them. Their arrangement consumes them and causes them to cross lines they swore they never would.
The kink in this book had me with my jaw dropping. They are into animal play specifically a cat and while that isn’t my cup of tea (no judgement if it is yours) I could not put it down. I felt like I had to see how they worked and how the story played out. The character who brought me the most joy is stinking Briggs and his adoration for his dog 🤣🤣. Just that small like two sentence clip towards the end made me so ready for the next book in this world.
