One Last Touch is a haunting novel that makes you think not only of the big picture but the smallest details that we don't know how to miss until they're gone. It was filled with longing, angst, and love.

One Last Touch delivered. I fell in love with the dark atmosphere, and the story was gripping as well. However, I found the main protagonist a bit intolerable, and the ghost powers were confusing.

Insanely addictive paranormal romance!! Jade Church has outstanding writing in One Last Touch. It’s paranormal, haunted, eerie, mysterious, with a beautiful love story. Sage and Georgiana make this book incredible and one of my favorites out of Church’s lineup. Highly recommended!!!

After her mother’s passing, Georgina inherits Alswell Manor. She moves in to find answers about her mother’s murder but instead finds something much more sinister. A chillling story with a romantic twist. I really enjoyed this story. My first of Jade Church but definitely not my last. Thank you #NetGalley

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a free ARC in exchange for a review.

Georgina is an idiot. Imagine you show up to a house where your mom was mysteriously murdered and the only people who are around for miles are incredibly weird, obviously lying, stop talking when you enter rooms, tell you constantly that this is a bad, dangerous place, try to lock you in your room, sneak into your room and watch you sleep, and order you around. WOULD YOU STAY AND BE ANNOYED AT "THE DRAMA"??

157 pages is too long for this ridiculous, stupid character. The plot of course is all about how sad the ghosts are and blah blah blah I don't care.

Georgina is so unlikable and foolish, it really makes this book unreadable.

Also, how does she have a book of The Tell-Tale Heart? That is a short story that is max 8 pages. I know this is nitpicky but tell me you just googled "books by Poe" without telling me.

One star.

Jade Church's One Last Touch crafts a hauntingly beautiful story of love, mystery, and the supernatural, set within the eerie walls of Alswell Manor. Georgina, our tenacious heroine, inherits this mysterious manor only to find herself plunged into a world where the lines between the living and the dead blur. Brooding and enigmatic Sage becomes an unexpected ally in her quest to uncover the truth behind her mother's death.

This novel is a brilliant fusion of gothic romance and spine-tingling horror, creating an atmosphere that's both chilling and alluring. Church's writing is wonderfully lyrical, painting each scene with a gothic brush that brings the manor and its ghostly inhabitants to life. The relationship between Georgina and Sage, with its slow-building tension and raw emotion, adds a heart-wrenching depth to the story.

The book's fast pace kept me on my toes, eagerly flipping pages to unravel the manor's dark secrets. Sage, the standout character for me, captivates from the start—his mysterious past and tender moments with Georgina making him a standout character.

One Last Touch is perfect for fans of romantic horror who appreciate a quick, immersive read. It's a story that skillfully balances the macabre with moments of levity, ensuring that even amidst the spooks and scares, there's a warmth that comforts the reader. Church has created a gothic romance that's not just about the thrill and the chills—it's about finding love and redemption in the most unexpected places.

Thank you so much to Jade Church for the ARC!

I have not read too many paranormal romances but this one really made me think I need to be reading more of them.
The way the author set the scene in this beautifully tragic yet romantic paranormal horror was astounding and it captivated me from the very beginning.
This is a short read at I want to say only a little over 200 pages so this is fast paced. If you're looking for a slow-burn romance with drawn out suspenseful horror, this book may not be for you.

I love the way the author built out these characters, especially the relationships between them all. Sage and Georgina gave me all the vibes and I loved every second of their interactions together. The storytelling was so romantically devastating and ethereal it just captivated my heart all while transporting me to a place where I felt some serious gothic spooks.

I loved everything about this book and I cant wait to dive deep into the rest of what Jade Church has to offer!

Whilst this book is definitely written well I don’t think this genre is for me. I normally really enjoy fantasy and assumed I would equally enjoy anything paranormal, however I didn’t really enjoy the ‘haunting aspect of the book’.

I think the author nailed setting the scene with this book and the descriptive writing used really created that eerie atmosphere. The plot development was done well and I think everything wrapped up by the end, the mystery side of the book was gripping and fast paced and I wanted to figure it out as well, and I think if ghosts were not included this would have been rated higher for me!

Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this arc

I loooooove a creepy haunted house and One Last Touch gave it in spades. Mysterious staff that are there one minute and gone the next - someone dangerous roaming the halls at night. The spooky factor was top notch.

I didn't quite get with the vibe of the romance between Georgina and Sage unfortunately. It was too quick, too unexplained. The book itself read very much like YA to me so the spice felt very out of place. There wasn't much, but it just didn't fit with the overall flow of the book for me personally.

I did enjoy the history of Sage and the housekeeper though, it was incredibly sad and I'm so glad that they got their happy ending. It was fairly obvious what was going on but it was a great concept.

I wish it had been longer - I think that's what was missing for me. It was very fast paced which was good but it also left things feeling a bit too easy. There was no chance to get to know the characters properly and connect with them.
If you're looking for a paranormal romance with a creepy, gothic atmosphere then this would be perfect for you

For whatever reason I thought this book was going to be a paranormal horror, so when it turned into a paranormal romance I was actually really surprised lol. It's not typically a genre I go for, and while this wasn't my favorite book ever it wasn't bad.
My main problems with the book were how obvious things were, and how to ending worked out perfectly for the main character. I probably would have preferred it had it ended with a sad ending, but that's just a personal opinion.
The story itself was pretty cute between Georgina and Sage, and the atmosphere the author built did a good job of getting across the haunted house vibes, but again it just wasn't my cup of tea.

A spooky, gripping, thrilling read! Staff disappearing at Alswell Manor, creepy footsteps and echoes in the shadows. Georgina inherits the manor after her mothers death and all is definitely not well at Alswell. A twisted connection to the house draws her in as she seeks answers to the mysteries and secrets hidden from hers, her mothers and the houses past. Deeps, spooky and haunting.

Book Review 📚
One Last Touch by Jade Church - 4/5 ⭐

I'll be honest, I cannot stand paranormal stories and books. It's probably the only genre I don't read. So next time I'll read the blurb before basing a book off its cover! HOWEVER, One Last Touch has made me feel that I could warm to the paranormal genre?

Seriously, Church has managed to convert me from a nonloving paranormal reader, to now wanting to read every paranormal book, ever!

There is so much story to this book, it's not all paranormal, I swear! The story line is probably what made it so much better to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There is great descriptive writing throughout and the characters developments are amazing. Cannot fault it.

Thank you to NetGalley and INKfluence for allowing me to read this ARC - this is an HONEST review from my own personal opinion.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher. While I’ve found by reading this supernatural romance is not my preferred romance I did enjoy the mystery aspect of the story. The mysterious mansion with the hidden backstory to discover. I was drawn into the story, but the ghost romance and then ghosts giving spirit in order to give life to another was too far for me. So just a personal preference.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I went into this book expecting a spooky romance that deals with the process of coming to terms with grief. The story has all those things but I felt the romance (smut) really overshadowed the whole grieving process, and the rest of the storyline. I get that it's a romance novella with sex scenes but they really seemed to be shoehorned in at inopertune times.

I'm not sure if it's just an issue with the ARC but I feel like the book definitely needed a lot of editing. I found it hard to keep up with who was speaking and a lot of the sentences were very long, drawn out, and hard to follow.

These are just my personal views, BUT if you're into far-fetched ghost smut then this is definitely the book for you.
