I couldn’t read the actual arc the way the writing was formatted on kindle was hard to read and so I couldn’t read it . I did however read it on kindle unlimited and I can say it was quite enjoyable . I liked it . The story was quite enjoyable. I love hot fae that mate so like it was just the perfect story. I did end up skipping some pages due to uninterest though
Honestly I love these little novellas! They’re nice and quick reads but really tell a great story while giving us a good amount of world building. While a little cheesy, I think the characters were interesting and I hope she comes out with more books to continue building this storyline!
Thank you to Netgalley the Publisher, of One Night Reads, LLC, and the author Georgie Monroe for providing and allowing me to review this book. Which, I'm giving my honest and sincere review.
"Stealing the Bogeyman's Bride" by Georgie Monroe is a captivating dive into a fantastical world filled with fae and forbidden love.
The story follows Auralia, who finds herself entangled in a web of passion and duty. Despite the outward animosity between her and Donovan, their hidden feelings for each other burn bright.
Trapped in a bond with a fae she despises, Auralia faces a heartbreaking choice when her estranged husband demands her return. As she prepares to leave her dream life behind, Donovan refuses to let her go without a fight.
Monroe's storytelling is both dark and spicy, delivering a tale that's sure to keep readers hooked. With its intriguing twists and turns, the dynamic between Auralia and Donovan adds depth to the narrative.
"Stealing the Bogeyman's Bride" is a delightful addition to the Faetales series, offering a tantalizing blend of romance and fantasy. With its themes of unrequited love and rivals-to-lovers, it's a must-read for anyone enchanted by the world of fae folklore.
Nice, short, steamy, enemies to lovers for all the fairytale lovers. I wish there would’ve been more meat to the plot but it wasn’t terrible to finish!
Did not enjoy the book. I felt the characters were very one dimensional and because of that I couldn't get into the romance. They didn't feel like they had personalities. The Bogeyman was not that scary of a villain, and I never got the sense that he would do anything to the female protagonist, and I didn't care at all about the supporting characters. I was also disappointed in the worldbuilding and the creatures. They just weren't interesting at all. It felt like a watered-down version of A Court of Thorns and Roses.
So I thought that book 1 of this series was good! This was even better! The story was absolutely brilliant, completely action-packed, and I really liked Auralia and Donovan! It's safe to say I can't wait for the next book in this series!
This was a quick and dirty read, plenty of smut and with decent heat for a short novel. It had a lot of action that I appreciated and was fun to read. Only other comment is that yeah, it could be read as a standalone, but you would get a better idea of how complicated the "love story" part is better fleshed out if you read the first in the series.
I and absolutely obsessed with this story!! I love it! The story line is perfect the a spice is on point. I love it!!

Stealing the Bogeyman’s Bride is a spicy fun novella that follows Auralia trying to stay out of trouble within the court. If you are looking for a love story that does have some mystery and fun I think this is a good choice.
Overall I loved Auralia and Donovan, they have history before the story begins, but it feels like a sweet friends to lovers story. Admittedly I also love the plot around the ‘bad guy’ here are well. Though be ready because this story is quite quick paced. It was to the point that sometimes I had to go back a page or two just make sure that I didn’t miss any content, but as I was reading it was really engaging.
Also the spice is quite nice. It wasn’t the most spicy book I have ever read, but again I do think this is on the lighter side of what I read. It is perfect for a “I just want to read a fun book in one night” type of vibe.
This was my first read from Georgie Monroe and I was not at all disappointed! This was a really great read and it kept me interested the entire time!
I get that this was one of a series but I really could not follow along. That's on me because I haven't read the others in this world. However, there was more spice than plot, and the plot was rather under cooked. I think this could have been a better book with some in depth character development. If you want lots of mated and mating spice, read this. If you are looking for a good plot as well as spice, probably skip over this one.
I'm not really sure what I expected from this but it definitely wasn't what I got. I love me a bit of smut and I'm not a prude by any standards but this made me cringe. I felt as though I was reading the writing of a young teen mixed with a horny middle ages woman. I kept hoping it would pick up but sadly it didnt.
I wouldn't say I regret reading this but I wouldn't rush out to buy any other works from this author.
The characters all felt very unestablished, maybe this is due to the fact I haven't read the first book in the series.
I did not read the first book but at the beginning it was made obvious it was not really needed..
I thought it went very fast and there was not a lot of detail.
There was definitely a lot of spice but there was no tension that pulled it together and it just felt meaningless.
DNF.. I believe this series would be amazing if each story would be longer and more detailed. It was said to be standalone but I was still confused at times. I wanted to like it but I couldn't finish it as it was lacking so much.
If the author re did it with more detail and time I think this series would be amazing.
please note that the trigger warnings and topes/themes may contain spoilers
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: HFN- will be continued in book 3
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: kidnapping, coercion, violence, torture (off page), mental manipulation, mentions of abuse, attempted SA
standalone: book 2 in The Featales series but can be read as a standalone with no plot holes- author also gives a synopsis of what was missed if you skipped book 1
final thoughts: I wish these were novels instead of novellas- I want so much more!!!
A quick and entertaining read with interesting MCs who have a push and pull, will they wont they relationship but it’s clear that they’re in love with each other and just haven’t accepted it yet.
Lots of hidden secrets, twists, pining, action, and spicy scenes for a novella!

I found this installment to be sweeter in a way. I like the interactions between the main characters, and since they already had history between them I found their feelings and the romance development to be more believable and engaging. I loved the way Dannovan had fallen for Aura from the beginning. He always wanted more, and I love how protective he is of her.
I consider that there are some interesting new characters that are hopefully explored in the future, such as The Brothers Grimm and Kage.
For me, the good humor of the characters is an important factor of my enjoyment of the story. Though the smut is nothing to complain about.
Important note- I did not read the first book in this novella series, but it was made clear in the start of this book that reading the first story was not necessary.
I felt like I was thrown into a story at the 2/3 mark and the story was on fast forward the entire time. I was able to follow along fine, but the pace was outrageously fast, even for a novella.
The story was so fast that it was really, really difficult to find a way to connect to any of the characters or care about their plight at all. I think if the pace had been slowed down slightly, I could have made some connections that made the story meaningful (even if only a bit.)
I often consider novellas to be “side quests.” This novella felt more like 1/3 of an extraordinarily rushed complete story. Does that…. Make sense?!
4/5 stars for the potentially creative and interesting plot it
Could have been, were it a complete novel.
1/5 stars for spice (lack of any tension whatsoever made it hard to care for the somewhat nonstop sex.)
Well wasn’t that just too freakin short!! But AMAZING! I gobbled these pages up, I loved everything about these characters, the storyline and all the great emotions they took through. I really hope there is more to come from this fantastic word that I’m still learning about.
So I thought that book 1 of this series was good! This was even better! The story was absolutely brilliant, completely action-packed, and I really liked Auralia and Donovan! It's safe to say I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Georgie Monroe did an excellent job tying book 1 and book 2 together. She really set the scene in book 1 for this story and boy did I enjoy it. The way each character is nestled into the previous story to show you a glimpse into the next book reminds me a lot of the way L.J. Shen writes.
I really appreciated that Stealing the Bogeyman's Bride was far more action packed than her first book. The plot was much more complex and thrilling and had more to the storyline than the first book did.
This is obviously listed as a novella, so it is short and the story moves very quickly. If you are not into that kind of thing, this may not be for you. However, I like the fast-paced storytelling and the to-the-point romances. Sometimes after reading a 600 page fantasy, you just want something simple and easy to get through, this was that for me.
I will definitely continue to explore Georgie Monroe's works and look forward to continuing the story!
