I do really love Martha Waters' writing, it's always so fun with incredible dialogue and banter, and low angst! I know that technically speaking this can be read as a standalone, but I would say it really shines if you read it with the other books in the series! I'm not the biggest fan of second-chance romances, so for me, this one was a little slow to start, but once I got going with it, it was lovely!

I was so excited to finally read West & Sophie's story! I loved getting to know more about her sisters. I also loved how we saw West dealing with PTSD from his accident. This series has been such a breath of fresh air. I would read anything Martha Waters writes.

This final installment in the Regency Vows series is a delightful blend of humor and romance that captures the essence of rekindled love. The reunion between West, the Marquess of Weston, and Sophie, Lady Fitzwilliam Bridewell, is both heartwarming and compelling, as their past connection adds layers of complexity to their current situation.
The premise of a fake engagement is cleverly executed, offering a perfect backdrop for the characters' emotional journeys. Sophie’s determination to prioritize her sister’s happiness while navigating her own feelings creates a relatable tension that keeps readers invested. The banter between West and Sophie is sharp and engaging, balancing the steamy moments with lightheartedness.
The writing is vibrant and immersive, vividly portraying the Regency era while maintaining a modern sensibility. The character development is satisfying, with both West and Sophie grappling with their past while exploring their potential future together.
This book is a charming conclusion to the series, filled with wit, warmth, and the sweet ache of second chances. It deserves every one of its five stars for its engaging storyline, well-crafted characters, and the way it captures the magic of love in all its forms. A must-read for fans of Regency romance!

BRIDGERTON VIBES! I really loved this. I couldn't putt down. I really enjoyed the banter and our mmc was HOTTT. This is a deff must read in my book!

Despite this book having two of my favourite tropes, I did not expect to love this book as much as I ended up doing. Especially not as quickly as I ended up doing. I swear to god, I don't know if I've gotten THIS invested in a romance THIS quickly. Quick disclaimer, I have not read any of the other books in this series yet. So therefore I don't know how much these two got teased over the course of this series or whatever. I also have no previous attachements to them. However, these two are the definition of soulmates. I ADORED them so much. It was very clear from their very first scene together just how much chemistry they had, and the more I read the more I fell in love with them. The second chance of it all was incredibly well executed. I love that we got flashbacks. I thought it really rounded up their story really well. On top of that Martha Waters also makes you feel the hurt that's between them, but doesn't leave the reason why hanging in the air too much. They clear shit from 7 years ago relatively quickly, and honestly it all was a very reasonable situation that still had me rooting for them in the present. We also spend some time developing their relationship now, and I loved seeing them grow towards each other throughout the book.
I also absolutely adored our side characters. I did get a bit lost in the sheer amount of them, but that is my own fault for not reading this series in order I guess. However, this book has made me VERY excited to read all of their love stories now. Anyway, I thought they were a fun group, and really brought this book to life. I also loved the scenes between Sophie and her family. They were such a close bunch, and a bit unhinged but they made for such entertaining scenes. Overall this book was also just incredibly funny. I had such a blast reading it, and it was also quite a fast paced read that just did NOT want to let me go.
However, I do feel like the second half slags of a bit. I just feel like the book gets a bit repetetive. We just kept hitting the same walls, and barely making any progress forwards. I just feel like that could have been executed a little bit better. On top of that I do think the actual ending was also dragged out a bit. It just kept going, and going, and going, and I stopped caring a little. However, I did still really enjoy most of this book, and it did not change that. It just kept me from fully loving this book.

This was a really fun second chance love story. It is the final installment in the Regency Vows series, and tells the story of Sophie and West. Years ago they were in love and on the verge of betrothal, despite the lack of enthusiasm expressed but the Duke (West's father). Their plans are derailed when West is involved in a life changing accident, during the recovery of which Sophie marries another person. Fast forward, Sophie is now a widow and she and West a cordial at best. As is popular with this series, the need arises to have a fake relationship and Sophie asks West to play the part. The ensuing story is filled with fun, mischief, beloved characters from the previous books, pettiness and love. It is a quick and enjoyable read.

I have been looking forward to Sophie and West’s story for a long time! Martha definitely delivered with a wonderful story to round out a series of great characters and hilarious hijinks. This story made me laugh, made me cry, made me angry, but mostly it made me feel joy. I am so glad that they finally find their happily ever after!
I received an eARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Tropes: exes, fake dating, basically unrequited (he’s always loved her, she doesn’t want to risk it being with him)
Wish we got to the backstory faster, and not intermixed with the present. Because it’s confusing what caused the complete fallout of their relationship before (how could she do that to him?), I feel so bad for him.
The switch from fake to real relationship is confusing and back and forth.
Favorite lines:
“West was beginning to think that a man should never agree to accompany a woman to a bookshop.” - LOL

Martha Waters is a new to me author and I am so glad I requested this book! Her writing is super witting and kept me turning the page. I was draw to this book my West and Sophie’s “10 Things I Hate About You” vibe. All of the characters were super likable and relatable. I appreciate an author who makes sure their audience can connect with their characters. I will definitely be reading more of Martha’s works considering how much I enjoyed my first read by her!

I especially enjoy a series with the same group of characters who interact in each others' lives. To Woo and to Wed was a continuation of a fun romantic comedy series. If you like rom-coms, you will love this series.

Martha!! I love you. This is yet another hit from one of my favorite romance authors. Excellent addition to this series

This book had me wanting to re-enter my historical romance era. I had read the first book in this series but after completing this novel, I am going to be going back to read every book in the series. What I enjoyed most about To Woo and To Wed fact that the MMC never forced the FMC to want something that was typical for the time: children. I loved their relationship and dynamic in general, but this stood out to me, and still sticks with me even though I though I read this weeks ago. If anyone is wanting to read this book, I would recommend reading the previous ones first as this book does reference this couples often and I think it would be helpful.

This is the second-chance romance I've been desperately waiting for!
While every book in this series can be read as a standalone (and I didn't read them in order at all), I do think that this finale is made even better by the four books' worth of tension between West and Sophie.
Readers first meet the pair and become acquainted with their earlier ill-fated courtship in the first book of the series, which focuses on his younger brother, James. Though circumstances kept them apart, Sophie and West are clearly still harboring feelings for one another and doing everything they can to avoid confronting them.
When this book opens, Sophie and her younger sister Alexandra are both widowed and have been brought even closer by their shared circumstances. But Alexandra has found love again, and the only thing that seems to be keeping her from re-entering a state of nuptial bliss is the fact that the loss of her companionship would leave Sophie very much alone.
Sophie concocts a scheme to fake a courtship, giving Alexandra tacit permission to pursue her own love, but she knows that her sister won't fall for the ruse unless the suitor is someone that Sophie could truly love. Someone that she did love, once.
West agrees, launching them into a fake courtship that is as awkward as it is adorable, and it's an absolute delight to watch them fight the inevitable.
I've been rooting for them both since the start of this series. The whole set of Regency Vows storylines are self-aware about the absolute absurdity of their romantic dramas. Each couple's courtship is a house of cards built from schemes, secrets, and deceptions, each more trope-y and unbelievable than the last. Through all of it, West is portrayed as the one rational mind among their social set, too staid and responsible to be roped into a convoluted plot. And yet, in this story, he gets sucked into one anyway, because he loves Sophie so. Freaking. Much.
He truly is the best of men.
With all that build-up, this book could have been a disappointment, but it was a delight. Just as funny and cheeky and entertaining as the rest, but with higher emotional stakes this time around.
I'm sad to see this series end, but each and every one of them is a worthy read for any fans of the genre.

I’m sad this series is ending but glad to get my hands on a copy of To Woo And To Wed.
Historical romances are a genre I enjoy and this book was no exception!
Sophie and West have been playing the long game! Pining over each other for years, and almost engagement, then a re-connection. Without giving too much away, I thoroughly enjoyed the dual timelines. It helped me understand what the characters had gone through to get to this place. There is tragedy, heartbreak and grief as the story unfolds. When Sophie and West find themselves reconnecting, the tension is top notch and there’s some series steam!
I LOVE when a series comes full circle with cameos from previous books. Great series Martha Waters!
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy! After I read the ebook, I ran out and got the physical copy to add to my shelf.

Martha Waters is the queen of funny, smart, emotionally resonant historical fiction. Another great installment in a great series!

To Woo and to Wed is the fifth and final book in The Regency Vows series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're looking for a low-conflict, second chance, open door Regency romance, this one checks all the boxes. I did find the main roadblock to the two MCs getting together a bit mushy, especially for the current day plotline, but it came together really nicely.

I’ve read a few books in the series and I love the friends group.

I love the title and cover of the book and I envisioned West as Jude Law 😍 so Sophie drove me crazy a lot to fight West but they agree to a fake engagement for personal reasons. Mixed in are chapters of the past which I get her hesitancy and I liked her growth at the end. Shows her maturity and greater trust in her relationship and strength in herself.

The wedding plans were fun, knowing no one would want to do any of that but it seemed pretty historically incorrect but I’m here for the regency romcom.

Content and possible triggers: This has multiple open door scenes. Past death of loved one, past accident, manipulation, betrayal, being barren

This series concluded with this book releasing earlier this month. I need to read book 1 and 4. I think Emily and Belfry (book 3) is my favorite couple from this series. These are my own thoughts and opinions.

Martha Waters doesn't miss! I first happened upon her books when I requested an earlier book to review -- not realizing it was historical which is not usually my genre of choice. And I loved it anyway! I've since tried giving some other historical romance a shot but it turns out it's Waters' writing, characters, and banter that I love in particular. I'm sad this series is over but will continue to read anything she writes!

This book was so cute and emotional and heartfelt! I have loved this series so much and I'm so sad it's over.
I loved the premise of this book. Even though the fake relationship trope has been done in so many different ways, Martha Waters managed to make it seem unique and intriguing. I also adored the then vs. now storyline as West and Sophie's past was so heart-wrenching and the yearning they still had for each other was so well done. West never gave up on their love story (in his words; Sophie had ruined him). On the other hand, Sophie was so strong and, excuse my language, but she was a bad a*s b*tch! I loved how she learned to handle the duke (West's father), how independent she was, and how much she cared for her family and friends. Ugh! So GOOD!
Can't wait for more from Queen Waters. Congrats on the release.
Things I Loved:
- Historical romance
- Second chance
- Fake engagement
- Family drama
- Then/Now storyline
- Friends with benefits (ish)

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria for the ARC of this book.
Very cute conclusion to this regency series. I read books #1, 2, & now 5. It was cute enough that I may go back and read the other two.
Sophie and West were great lead characters with fantastic chemistry. Second chance romance and fake dating are two of my favorite tropes so I especially liked this one. There were so many layers to this story; a menacing father, loss of a parent and friend, lost love, meddlesome siblings - it made the story that much more fun.
Overall, this was a very cute and sweet regency romance.
